It's 2024 and i'm still wonder about how life works...
to those who don't know her, she is Son Seung Yeun the first ever winner of The Voice Korea.. she was a regular member of Immortal Songs: Singing the Legends from 2013-2018 where she competed with established famous solo/duo/group vocalists in South Korea such as Gummy, Ailee, and the list goes on (I don't have to list everyone because all of you don't know them). She's quite famous but I think she has fewer engagements at the moment because she might be focusing on her studies or yet her previous contract from her previous agency had expired. Her recent engagement that I know was in 2021 where she played Elphaba in the musical Wicked 2021 South Korean Version.
I personally look up to this woman. Whenever she performs, it's a holy experience.

Son SeungYon, I give her mad props for singing this song, Jonghyun's first solo song...I don't think anyone has been brave enough to publicly sing his songs like this yet. It's still hard and they might break down while singing but she did great justice with this one. It suited her so well and in it she was able to show not only the strength of her vocals but the strength of Jonghyun's vocals as well for a song with such emotional notes. I hope to see more covers like this soon. Mad respect and I feel extremely thankful for this performance. Thank you.

😢 It really made me tear up. I miss him so much and even though it's been 4 months (almost 5😢) I can't turn my memories of him into something happy mainly when I see a picture or performance of him. It reminds me of him leaving and breaks me all over again....
For me it's worse when I see a picture of him that wasn't a photoshoot, a picture he wasn't aware was being taken, because I get reminded that he was real, he was a person who interacted with the world around him like everyone else. I mean of course he was real, but celebrities sometimes seem almost unreal, like you can't imagine them behind the scenes. But I saw a photo of him by himself just tuning a guitar in a room with the staff just hanging around setting up food and stuff, not aware of the camera. It made him so real all of a sudden - he existed in the world, he had a physical presence, he smiled, he took up space even when the cameras weren't on, he was a person. And now he's gone. Does any of this make sense? I'm sad all over agin.

I’m only thirty seconds in and I already have teary eyes. I love this song more than anything else, it’s truly beautiful, when I heard her singing I immediately had Jonghyuns expression in front of my eyes, I wish he was here so he could watch this too :) I miss him. I have no idea who she is, but if she can tackle this song and make it her own (which she did), I'm willing to listen to whatever she has to offer. Covers are always difficult because they're constantly compared to the original. For me, there's the original, Jonghyun's initial cover, then hers. I loved all three for different reasons.

I agree with you like every singer has a different singing style and her style just fits the song so good . People compare her to jonghyun and the original singer which is really sad since all three sing very differently. All three are amazing cause it just shows the passion different singers put into singing this song.

@@ImFranciele no you didnt, dont worry. The lyrics of the korean version are of Jonghyun, and he did and incredible job with the creation of the lyrics and also because of his voice. Alejandro (the composer and singer of the song) has less vocal range than Jonghyun (he has been more of a composer/songwriter than a singer, although his deep low voice is beautiful) so with Jonghyun is truly amazing. Thanks to these two people we can hear this pretty version/cover!
