Yes I love that reference! I’m sure Daniel and Mr. Han will talk about that. It’s either that or for the lore in this universe Mr. Han and Mr. Miyagi’s ancestors both inspired each others styles. Why is Sony keep disrespecting this franchise and the fans of the "Miyagiverse"? I don't understand the creative approach here…This is the 5th version of Master Miyagi's house. They claim, this takes place in the same universe of "Cobra Kai", than why didn't they simply shot the scenes of Mr. Han meeting Daniel on the "Cobra Kai's" set of the house of Master Miyagi? The set was available at the time. It completely breaks the continuity. When you look at this house it feels totally like another house. It does not feel at all like Cobra Kai ever happened. Ralph worked on the two projects in parallel it would of save on the budget of the two endeavours. I hope Hilary Swank makes a cameo in this movie, so they connect all the movies together. She said she doesn’t appear in "Cobra Kai". Maybe, she was lying by omission to say she appeared in "Karate Kid Legends".
It could most likely be a flashback before Danny set up Miyagi-Do when learning Johnny brought back Cobra Kai. You can also say that it’s after the events of Cobra Kai and Danny closed the dojo after and left it. It’s not really breaking canon if you think about it.
I wonder what the premise wi be? It seems he already has kungfu training before going to New York. I wonder if he gets beat up by opponents/bullies who know more than him. Because in the other Karate kid films Daniel had virtually no knowledge of karate apart from trying to teach himself from a book and a class from the YMCA. Julie might have learnt a couple of basic moves from her Grandfather and Dre I think was the only one who had zero training. So it's interesting in this film Li Fong is already a lot more experienced. In the other films they were more about the underdog triumphing over more experienced opponents with only a few weeks of training.

Karate Kid with Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan was not actually karate but Kungfu. But they still call the movie Karate Kid. I don't know how they try to connect two different martial arts from two different origin in one movie. The one can makes sense is both Daniel La Russo and Mr Han trained a new kid to participate in Martial art tournament, not Karate tournament.
I don’t think they are going to include that at all with the universe, but as I mentioned in the video the year is 2023 as Ralph confirmed it’s set 3 years after Cobra Kai.
I noticed there was no Joshua Jackson in the trailer; could he playing be Li Fong's dad? Looks great, maybe a 5 Burroughs champion vs All Valley champion clash will happen one day.
I hope that the tournament he will be fighting in might be like a mixed martial arts tournament like how the early ufc was or like a boxer vs someone who does karate or something like that
Well remember what was set in Part 1? Perhaps that is true but we’ll see. Maybe that was actually what CK set in stone, but now with the Karate Kid: Legends film it could add to that.
Cobra Kai nation you missed something in the back in 8:13 the kid in the back with all red is li fong bully! The one that stoped him on the train he must knows martial arts and he has the same red dojo gi like cheng did so he has to be the main villain and the former champion of the nyc tournament. And this explains why li fong gets bullied his bully knows martial arts just like cheng and he watching him fight in the back ground.
I mentioned that’s the same actor who was in Ms Marvel, he played Red Dagger, the actor is called Aramis Knight. I do agree I think that must be him in the tournament fight scene with Li Fong.

Great job on the breakdown this movie will be Epic!
If it take place in NYC, the soundtrack better feature early 90s Wu Tang Clan music or I am going to be angry....
It’s not set in the early 90s, it’s set 3 years after Cobra Kai’s series finalebased on the Sekai Taikai being in 2020. So that should make the year 2023 in Karate Kid: Legends.
@CobraKaiNation doesn't matter, give me wu tang or give me death LMAO
Season 6 still takes place in the year 2019
If you look closely, at Daniel’s phone when he is kidnapped, the Sekai Taikai takes place in April 2020
@ Just because of his phone don’t mean it takes place in 2020 cause in S5 it took place in the summer of 2019 and in the beginning of S6 the students go back to school so it late 2019 it take place September or October
@ his phone dates have been pretty accurate in previous seasons, so when it says April… and they all started school in September 2019, April comes 3 months after January, you know that right??? Or do you need me to tell you how months work??
@@robanah But do u watch back at the previous seasons and focus on the timeline
@
S1:September 2017 to May 2018
S2: Summer and September 2018
S3: September 2018 to December 2018
S4: Starts off in December 2018 to around April or June 2019
S5: Summer 2019
S6: September 2019 to April 2020(so far)
What do yoh think about how the dojo looks nothing like it did in cobra kai?
I’m excited for this movie !
but why is the dojo actually Mr Miyagi's house from the KK movies and not the Dojo in Cobra Kai
@@andruwhh The dojo in Cobra Kai IS Miyagi's house
@@progdrummer78I think he’s trying to say is why did it go back to the original look more than the cobra kai miyagi dojo, unless Mr Miyagi had a backup house lol
Awesome!! Very exciting
Sure is
Yes brother. Now you got it absolutely right. 😅 great breakdown
Appreciate it!
@CobraKaiNation you are welcome 😊
No such thing as a bad trailer, only bad movie.
😂
Snow White is a bad trailer..
I guess his experience with Dre in 2010 KK inspired Mr Han to open his own Kung Fu school.
Miyagi do karate is came from kung fu.
They called it karate kid just for marketing. Jackie said everyone on set referred to it as "Kung Fu kid" and that it has a different name in China.
Just now thought about the fact that the Sekai Tekai is in 2020… wondering if that helped the spread of Covid in the Miyagi-verse…
I don’t think they are going to include that at all with the universe, but as I mentioned in the video the year is 2023 as Ralph confirmed it’s set 3 years after Cobra Kai.
@ For sure lol. Just thought it was a funny coincidence they went global in the the same time as that even in the real world 😂
@@CobraKaiNation And I doubt that the Miyagi verse would also include real life geopolitical conflicts too.
@@BurningBushProductions I asked myself; where is the world trade center ,a nd then I recalled , oh right yeah , now I remember.
@@agent45625Yes it doesn’t seem necessary at all.
Li looks so cool in this trailer. This new karate kid my be competing against Kwon as my favourite character among this kids😏
I’m already thinking based on this trailer footage that Li and Kwon in an 1v1 will be compared a lot.
I would love to see Ben Wang and Brandon Lee do a demo together! That would be hella sick!
Kwon wasn’t even top 5 in tournament, all take no bite fr
@@kokoro_gospelThey both would look pretty cool in 1v1!
I noticed there was no Joshua Jackson in the trailer; could he playing be Li Fong's dad? Looks great, maybe a 5 Burroughs champion vs All Valley champion clash will happen one day.
I think he’s playing the dad of Sadie Stanley’s character. Li Fong’s father passed away before he moved to NYC.
@CobraKaiNation aah, gotcha, cheers.
Big up goju ryu 🥋❤
It’s such a great style. I need to learn it
I hope that the tournament he will be fighting in might be like a mixed martial arts tournament like how the early ufc was or like a boxer vs someone who does karate or something like that
It will probably be similar to that. I’m kind of getting Never Back Down vibes from some of the fights in the trailer?
Frickin sick!
I wonder what will happen in season 6 part 3 cause you have to watch season 6 part 3 before the movie
Is mr han is miyagi brother?
I don’t think so because I think they made it clear Miyagi and Han families are separate with the title card “families unite”
I can't wait to see this!
Some people were saying something about him also learning boxing? Is that true or…
Well remember what was set in Part 1? Perhaps that is true but we’ll see. Maybe that was actually what CK set in stone, but now with the Karate Kid: Legends film it could add to that.
I am wondering how will be related to cobrakai or will it be for cobra kai
it does look very good, i hope it lives upto the first Kirate kid film which i stll think its the best film
I can't wait to see it
At 3:16 if you look Behind Daniel you can see that the Mr miyagi's house is the color from cobra Kai.
@@CobraKaiNation yeah I watched all his movies and shows he was in I remember you mentioning him to. And yeah after analyzing the trailer myself I noticed in the background the bully was watching li fong fight and he has red gi like cheng did so ik he has to be the villain and maybe even former champion of the nyc tournament
The drums
I think this is a reference to Karate Kid 2?
There was Chinese currency inside Mr. Miyagi’s hidden box.
I want to see a modern take on the crane kick in this movie. I don’t care if it’s done in a comical way or if he uses it at some point.
so readyyyyyy
My theory is that all the students left Master Li after their loss and joined Mr Han and became his students instead.
In karate kid 4 Julie and Mr miyaigi go see these monks it’s like a temple Mr Han prolly knows those monks
Is this movie connected to the jaden smith film?
@@YoDog-x2y yes and also the OG karate kids and cobra kai. It's all one cohesive universe
Technically they haven’t made it clear that the 2010 film is canon, they’ve only included Mr. Han’s character from that film, so it could just be that they cherry picked Mr. Han from that universe and made him canon. We still need confirmation on this.
I cant wait for this! And im so sick of people saying this is a cash grab. Do you think ralph would do it if it ws just a cash grab, he has more integrity than that
Honestly I think he had his conditions for doing this film, good payday, but honour Mr. Miyagi and what they’ve done in Cobra Kai series to honour him and Daniel’s story.
They should practice paint fence 2 legends😂
Imagine if they do show us a scene with Daniel running through some Miyagi-Do techniques with Mr. Han, although I assume Mr. Han knows about them.
Please give us a good antagonist!!
We are reach my Shang chi level fight scenes
This and 2010 are crazy fr
It’s definitely going for that style in this film!
It’s rumored that the new main character is kwons younger brother
Doesn't even make sense lmao
Hope not this should be its own thing
@@Batx0123LOLXD take place 3 years after cobra kai besides that's it will be it's own thing and probably more into the miyagi lore
Yes and chozen is his grandfather and Kyler is his cousin?
Cheng would make more sense
The ammount of people glazing and saying he negs every Cobra Kai character is js mad bro 😹 Saw some random dude say he would beat Miyagi
Miyagi? That’s crazy
this movie looks so much better than that garbage idea they first pitched
Which was?
@progdrummer78 it was a reboot and if I remember right where the roles were reversed young kid teaching an adult
2:10 looks like someone should paint that fence and wax those cars 👀👀
Macchio is really milking this Karate Kid franchise for all it has got, jesus christ :D.
He was born for it
Wait will cobra Kai students be in it?
Not likely, but if anyone appears it could be someone from Daniel’s family.
@ true yeah
Los amo
Li Fong 's fighting style and gi looks similar to iron dragon's.juz saying
I mentioned that the gi colour is similar to the Iron Dragons gi, but there’s no affiliation with that. Li is supposedly from Beijing in China, whereas Iron Dragons are from Hong Kong. 🇭🇰
I really hate to bring up race, but i noticed when this merger was first mentioned majority of white fans was against this when they thought Jaden Smith was going to be in the flim😂. Now that it seems he won't be appearing in the flim just Jackie. Everybody all for it. People are just sick 🤢. On a better note im fan of it all i can't wait.
Mix bag of emotions…
It’s 50/50 but the trailer is promising.
IT ISNT KARATE KID NOW, THEY CHANGED IT TO KUNG FU KID
It’s technically Kung Fu/Karate Kid, but this film definitely sounds like a Karate Kid movie based on the fact it’s involving that lol
Better have at leaat one of the cobra kai cast
And no Jaden Smith🎉🎉
I like the idea but its racially reversed karate kid whoch is pretty funny honestly
But it works with having a Chinese actor, we’ve got a different ethnicity for each karate kid.
Daniel, Dre, Miguel and now Li.
Without Robby and Miguel bruh
I don’t think any of the kids will cameo in the film, but imagine if they both did in a post credit scene.. Would be crazy
@ fr yeah and meeting the new guy would be cool they might? Maybe we have to find out 👀
Dude please. Cobra Kai is their thing!
@ true but maybe Sam would see her dad so….
It’s karate kid not cobra Kai 🤦🏽♀️

Ruining the Franchise.
There's a real martial champion in the movie Jonathan Esco from philadelphia
I spoke to a few friends that worked as stunt actors in Cobra Kai, they said a few people they know worked on this film!
