Indian people are not worrying about protecting yoga. We are worried because some one has monetized the yoga just in front of us and we have failed to do so for thousands of years..
'culture grow by coming in contact of different influences'... So true & pragmatic... What is "pure/ impure"? There is nothing called absolute purity if one isn't talking about stagnation... Purity is myth kept alive by Puritans
Extellent point... One of the reasons why latin died out is because of the Renaissance thinkers idea of censoring commons mans latin version for the classical one!
But do Hindus use Bodhidharma's teaching, weather it be self defence or peacefulness which was Created "WITH" the Buddhist Monks not only by bodhidharma, you are just here to state the fact that Kung fu originated in india, which is straight up BOGUS. your so called pure hindu pride is small and tiny. The creation of Kung Fu cannot be attributed to a single individual or event. It is the product of a complex cultural, historical, and social factors over centuries. While Bodhidharma's role is significant, it is just one part of the history of Chinese martial arts. China already had a rich tradition of martial arts,. Chinese martial arts or Wushu was centuries before Bodhi's arrival. Claiming Buddhism {Buddha} and Kung Fu {Bodhidharma} as purely Indian can be seen as diminishing the cultural achievements and heritage of China. Also Buddha was not completely hindu while he was preaching peacefulness, he left his Prince title and Rejected caste system, authority of Vedas and its system, and ritual sacrifices. so stop saying that buddhism and kung fu is creation or product of hinduism, not everything is about hinduism, leave your pride behind while commenting on anything.
Does the same argument apply for regional languages? Some people say that regional languages are dying because of the influence of English. But then again, anybody who wants the purer form of regional languages can just read the book on the purer way of using it, and the guy who is fine with a mixed version of a regional language is gonna just use it. So why do people bring the arguement that Hindi is being destroyed by English or say, Bengali is being destroyed by Hindi? People who want to practice the purer form of Bengali can just go and a read an old book on learning pure Bengali.
It probably applies to languages which have a few hundred speakers. Hindi is far too popular. And it assimilates English rapidly too. It's just growth. The way to save a language is to use it and promote its usage, not preventing other languages.
About the Rafi song analogy, the old song would actually suffer if people who manage the music affairs are paying more attention and investment into creating remixes because that's what the market wants as opposed to investing in popularizing the original. There's also something to be said about who controls the narrative, if something as Indian as Yoga is only understood through a western gaze then ofcourse there will come a time when certain unique characteristics of Yoga will be lost. Cultural appropriation is not cultural appreciation, that's how we don't see prominent indigenous cultures, languages spread around in the mainstream discourse in countries like USA, Australia etc.

संस्कृत को प्योर रखने के चक्कर में मर गई है!
खाने में अलग अलग मसाले मिलाने से स्वाद बढ़ता है , खाना लुप्त नहीं हो जाता । Enjoy the mixtures & variants .
Yep, there is no such thing as pure. Even Yoga was a result of amalgamation of different philosophies like that in Vedas, Upanishads and Samkhya.

Kung fu was taken by a south indian prince bodhidharman to china...it has its roots back in india...

Brilliant Point 🙌

@@vimohlive Issue with adopting some English words is that sometimes they begin to compromise Hindi syntax and that in turn forces code switching.
History of modern form of yoga itself doesn't go that far, barely more than a century.
