It’s just too good…….where’s the limit to all this amount of genius in this world? One could listen to it a gazillion times, and still find something new in it… Mindblowing. And why do I have to think of Dirty Loops here? Obviously Henrik Linder and Malaman have been doing some jammin together - but man, a collab between Valeriy Stepanov and the Loops would be outta this world…! Haven’t yet finished watching this reaction vid, but still, thanks for listening to this masterpiece with us, Jeff, and thanks to whoever suggested it 🙏🙏 -and I’ll get back to watching the rest of it now ☺️
Been away for a bit but this one can't hold me back. I might have mentioned this song along time ago but this is one of my favv covers of all time. Happy to see that smile again. :)
Jeff such a good reaction. We all take extra pleasure in the music when we witness the pleasure you take. Thanks. What a great version of this classic. All these musicians are in top form here and what a great trio they are. I wish to add my own observation of awe on Gergo. He not only plays all that he plays but it is all so clear. It is hard for me to think of another drummer whose every individual drumstroke is so clear and distinct. No matter how fast or complex he is playing. Nobody else really comes close. Wonderful. It's really not fair passing this off as a mere cover. It is so much more.
I found Valeriy on TH-cam by accident (or Divine favor!) about 4 years ago and I cannot get enough of his genius and the musicians that he attracts. Thanks for doing a reax to this one. Have you heard his song, "Cute Martlets," which also features Federico? I'd love to hear what you think of that. Keep up the good work!
Malaman was in his studio in Italy for Remember the Time as he was in most of the material he's done w/ V.S.. You can see a number of his other instruments in the background. Some show his keyboards. If you haven't seen them, he plays w/ Hadien Feraud from France at a number of events and has done lots of duels w/ him and other bass legends at NAMM for several years.
Imagine all the music we have missed, in all our time because of not having internet. Now, we have it so lets do the best off it. And Valerij is one of these humans, that i was not aware of at all before. And on top of everything: he is singing this tune 10 times better than the original, plus we get to listen to masterclasses on every instrument. Amazing!
Now we are grooving from every corner! We did those licks in the old days Jeff. Gergo is an ace on the set....hmmm started playing at 3 years old! Valerliy....just a great performer. Frederico Malalman.....c'mon...artistry!
@@StrateleStudios oh I didn’t get that memo! Thanks!! p.s since you’ve done that one, I feel obliged to recommend another one haha. And that is Sense of Home
You’re the ONLY reactor to this vid so far! Which is a damn shame as obviously Valeriy’s extraordinary talent is not under the radar enough, even among many musicians. Glad you found him!
I thought he only plays jazz! This Michael Jackson cover is great fun. Where did you find it? And I love his voice. It sounds a bit like George Michael.
When Marco left Nightwish, a lot of people thought that Jarkko Ahola, who also plays in Northern Kings with Marco, would take his place. It didn't happen but you should check this amazing and cute guy. The first one is live from Xmas consert th-cam.com/video/WqBSDB5oHug/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/HodZzgh5tY8/w-d-xo.html Even though you're not going to show them in your channel, I would appreciate to get some feedback of his huge vocal range.
I'm also a big fan of Stepanov, and especially also of this song. I think I've never heard anybody playing the keyboard as fast as Stepanov - it's ridiculous! And the base player is so unbelievable cool, wow!!! When I consider Jacob Collier and Valeriy Stepanov, I see a bright future for music. This cover version is again even better than the original - and that's not easy, for Michael was also a genius... @Stratele: what about "Heartbreaker" of him? Brilliant song! th-cam.com/video/ZtTeJj6AwvI/w-d-xo.html
You have to check out Polyphia's new track 'ABC' feat Sofia Black(lyrics!). It's J-pop meets shred. Never heard anything like it and the video is a work of art.

I’d love a super group with DL, Valeriy and Matteo Mancuso on guitar 😃
Still amazed that he is not more acknowledged..
Stepanov and the musicians he uses.. Absolutely mindblowing everytime!
It’s criminal!
Thanks, Jeff. Three awesome players; love 'em!
Always been one of my favorite MJ tunes, and this is a fantastic performance! Thanks for turning me on to this!!! 😊✌
Thanks Scott, ya what a great rendition!

Yay back for more! Ya this is a great one! 😃👏👏👏🫶
A master class on all instruments, eargasms!
Great reaction my friend! 😄
Glad you enjoyed it brother!

Well. That was thoroughly enjoyable.
As a percussionist, all I can say is O M G.
Hahaha right?!
Federico bassista incredibile 🇮🇹

You are so right! All those years of not being able to have access to musicians like these. What a shame. I'm making up for lost time NOW!

Yes!! I was waiting for more of Stepanov.
I would like to recommend you react to the song *Sarma* by Stepanov
Here ya go! th-cam.com/video/81NfoQX2Kls/w-d-xo.html

Right…this is why I play him so much on the channel. It’s criminal that he’s not more well known especially in the US!
Давно купил эту пластинки только ради этой композиции и думал, что это пребел совершенства. Но теперь понял, что и есть место для творчества.
Браво!!!

He does sound a little like George Michael!
'JAMMIN' PURE AND SIMPLE.
It's Gergo, and then it's whoever are the next 'great' drummers in the world.
right?!
Borlai+Feraud+Scott Kinsey=ZAWINUL LEGACY..

I’ll have to do Heartbreaker now!

Oh it’s already on my list for the next round! 😃👏👏👏
The drummer reminded me of Buddy Rich.
This is the first track I heard from V.S. It is the kind of music that stops one in their tracks. There is much much more music for musicians
Quick question.. Is there a reason you've never checked out Mohini Dey? Bass Player?
Check back on Sept 12 to see MD. I also have exclusive live video I took of her at the NAMM show on Patreon.
