  • The fate of Hitler is one of the most infamous subjects in history - but the investigation of the nation that was best placed to find out, the USSR, is often ignored or dismissed in the West. This series examines what the Soviets found, both at the bunker and Reich Chancellery, and also the medical examination of the purported bodies of Hitler and Eva Braun. Kept secret until 1968, the Soviet files reveal many strange anomalies that challenge the established story of the ultimate fates of Hitler and his wife.
    In this episode, the strange medical anomalies on the body identified as Eva Braun.

      There were people in the bunker who would have done ANYTHING to save AH. The witness statements tend to concur that AH and his wife committed suicide together. But how many of them actually came in contact with the corpses after that happened? Not that many; and only a few survived the war to be interrogated. I think Hitler’s valet was the only one that actually dealt with the bodies. Hannah Reitsch and R. von Greim flew out on the 28th. Some bunker personnel escaped 4 days after that. It’s not impossible that AH and his wife made a similar journey. He had the resources and time to plan for it.

      He is dead. Sorry. My grandfather's were the American unit in there. Not in the pics. I have always found this obsession strange. These events are usually more banal than the Hollywood versions. The Soviets were their usual reserved selves, got in, did the job, took very little, and them left.
      The Soviets letting him live would be the bigger mind job IMO.
      And people forget about Nazi Doctrine, that if he would have lived, been considered a failure. They would have buried him anyways and started over. There wasn't any wiggle room left.

    • @tzortizious
      @tzortizious 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Nylon_riotPeople like sensationalism. Probably Eva Braun didn't just take cyanide before she died, she wanted to finish the job quickly by shooting herself in the heart because she was too uncomfortable to breathe. But witnesses did not realize this because of the dark color of her dress and the shock of the event. I have read in detail from American sources that many witnesses said that the bodies were cremated for hours (around 4 to 10 p.m.) A body cremated for such a long time, of course, does not stay the same size, it is against the laws of nature. And a lot of body evidence was burned with them, so it is normal to have some conflicting identifications.
      If they hadn't committed suicide, they wouldn't have done something stupid like getting married before fleeing, they would have done it in a place where they would have been safer. If Hitler had not committed suicide, he would not have been stupid enough to leave his peaceful place in Berghoff and go to Berlin surrounded by Soviet soldiers.

      I've always thought Hitler and Eva probably killed themselves in the bunker, but the guards lied and led the soviets to the wrong bodies. They were 100% loyal to Hitler, still had the capabilities to fully cremate a body, and/or to move the bodies more than a couple feet from the bunker emergency exit. Hitler likely had what to do with his body planned out before his suicide. I doubt the plan was a half assed cremation and dump it two feet from the exit.

    After April 22, there was hardly anyone left in the chancellery bunker, according to Gestapo Müller, only two secretaries remained, "the oldest" who would never speak (Johanna Wolf, who never spoke) and "the youngest and dumbest "....Else Krüger, Bormann's secretary, who would later marry his English interrogator.....there was also Bormann, Gestapo Müller, Linge and Rattenhuber...and all the personnel necessary for the bunker's operation. The big problem for Müller was that the buried body of A. Hitler's double was expected to be found a week later (he was buried next to the fountain in the Chancellery garden) so that the decomposition would help to confuse the remains with the true A.H. A few hours after the Germans surrendered, the body was found, dehydrated but not decomposed.

My Paternal Grandfather was in Naples recovering from an injury in N Africa when Benito met his fate in the Italian alps and had bought a photograph from one of the original photographers that took a picture of the bodies hung from the metal framework, that we still have to this day. Theory:
    I base my theory as a federal agent of 22 years, with countless cases I have investigated over that period.
    1st: forensic evidence is very rarely ever contradicted. It is scientific and medical fact. So the lack of Cyanide in the blood and organs, plus the simple break of the capsule, clearly indicate the capsule was planted post mortem.
    Add to that tge incongruous dental records and testimony versus what was revealed during autopsy. And the smoking gun,no Pun intended, is the two shrapnel wounds, with associated hemorrhage. Dead body do not pump blood through veins. Period.
    2. This clearly points to some sort of body double.
    3. Hitler was adamant that he should never be captured alive, nor should his dead body ever be captured, most especially by the Soviets.
    4. Posit this theory, that Eva Braun left with the other bunker staff during Operation Seralgio. She is relatively non descript, looking very much like the average German woman of her age and the time frame. With a change of hair color and style, a pair of glasses, some frumpy clothing, she could easily pass for any young German woman. Add to that a complete, abd authentic set of 3rd Reich issued identity documents under an assumed name. And she simply fades into the chaos of post war Germany and Europe. She could also have easily been spirited out of Germany through the rat lines.
    While only a theory, it is certainly very plausible, and forensic evidence does not lie.

    • @pogue972
      @pogue972 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I do question the forensic aptitude of Soviet scientists in 1945 vs foreniscs now. The forensic science of the day was probably quite rudimentary. The cyanide ingested from the small ampules was obviously quite miniscule and highly concentrated. Were they looking for the correct broken down byproducts of cyanide and how sensitive was their equipment to detect it did they have at that time? How long had the already mostly destroyed body been laying outside in the open air environment before it was tested? These kinds of questions are why I would be skeptical of the autopsy reports back then and whether or not you should take them with a grain of salt.

    • @MrShobar
      @MrShobar ปีที่แล้ว

      "...This clearly points to some sort of body double... ". OK. But to what end? Other credible testimony shows that she committed suicide with Hitler in the bunker. No doubt, Felton would agree with this, too. So, why a "body double"?

    • @diggingattycho7908
      @diggingattycho7908 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      We have to keep in mind the political side of this theory. I don't think Braun's survival would have world consequences(except for history and tabloids). But Hitler's would, if he escaped the ramifications would be far reaching. But pronouncing them both dead, does serve the narrative of history. It is pretty easy to hide just about anywhere in the world, as long as you have trusted help, and never go out.
      I like your theory, considering the chaos of the situation. Very plausible.
      My grandfather was a pilot in WW2, I had shown his flight logs to people in the know. I was told we have to rewrite a few history books. It goes to show that there is always more to find under the umbrella of history.

    • @briannicholas2757
      @briannicholas2757 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@pogue972 a good point. My skepticism originates mainly with the chest shrapnel wounds and accompanied hemorrhaging. Whether 1945, 2023, or 800 BC, a dead heart does not pump blood.
      Also, another thought, Hitler cared very deeply for Eva Braun, that much we know, and given the attitude toward protecting women, somewhat amplified in nazi germany, it is very believable that Hitler would have wanted her out of Berlin. Then end was obvious, even to someone as deranged as Hitler. So Eva is sent away with the other Bunker staff.
      A suitable dead young female, one killed during the Russian assault, could easily have been found, and burned and buried alongside Hitlers body, (or a doubles) to reinforce the story they boith killed themselves abd were burned. That pre supposes that Hitler also escaped. We will have to wait and see what Mark's next installment presents by way of evidence to jump down that rabbit hole.

It's meaningless entertainment to them and they either like the world to be murky and ambiguous or they don't believe anything is possible or ever was. And perhaps it no longer is possible. There was once a time though when lies were rare and truth was common and this ended little by little with by the WWII it was all over. And only recently have my eyes been opened to the disturbing fact that those who choose to believe the official story are not fooled at all, just immoral and intellectually lazy. There is always the assumption that other bunker personnel did. But no survivors at the time said they hadn't. So, with conflicting assumptions, how do we know whose corpses were covered. Of course, it could have been staff who committed suicide, such as Krebs or Burgdorf.

Just travelled from rural hotel to rural hotel until he died? Never hooked up with any of the other senior party members who were verified as being in South America & tried to start another movement & kick start the war?

      As for Hitler's suicide, you make a good point, but I don't think Hitler would have taken his own life because he felt responsible at all, it was more that he knew very well what being captured alive by the Russians would mean. He would ultimately end up in the same gulag as the SMERCH officers who had failed to find him, experiencing a lifetime of torture, pain, and unfathomable misery. The other aspect to be considered is it's well documented that by the end Hitler's mind was addled by the huge amounts of methamphetamine he was being administered on a daily basis. As we see today, ingesting large amounts of methamphetamine leads to fairly significant mental health issues. I'd even go so far as to say Hitler was likely completely out of his mind, he would have been unable to make any rational decisions.
      It's strangely ironic that both Hitler and the SMERCH officers were both deathly afraid of Stalin's wrath. Hitler committed suicide, the SMERCH officers fabricated a story. Stalin's wrath robbed everyone of a justified outcome, and as a result we will probably never know the truth. I wonder if that ever occurred to him, or if he ever realised he was unwittingly the architect of his own conspiracies.

    What would the soviets (and Stalin mainly) gained or lost had they acknowledged both bodies were in fact missing? Aside from hypothesis about Hitler and Eva escape, something is sure, the Soviets (and the whole world for that matter) wanted to move on and supported the idea that they were dead. All this mystery sounds more political to me than anything else. Can you imagine the emotions in 1945 saying “they war is over but there is a tiny problem…….”

      It seems to me that everyone wanted to just move on. Dr. Felton has demonstrated in other videos how the prosecutions of Nazi war criminals was done half-heartedly and many were just dropped. Nazis were allowed to escape down the "Rat Lines" operated by the Vatican. Something here really stinks, and I'm telling you, the entire rest of the 20th century and into now has that stink upon it.

      Could it be that the Soviet administrator in charge of this investigation wanted so badly to give Stalin the news that his rival had died, smudged the evidence and covered up the true story?

    Utterly fascinating. And like most people is completely at odds with what we have heard before. I'm starting to believe that Hitler and Eva did commit suicide in the Bunker but instead of their bodies being burned that they were taken somewhere in the complex of tunnels under the Kanzeleri and were sealed in a room and the entrance blown up to make it inaccessible. Many people saw their bodies removed from the study, but only six or seven would actually go up the steps with the bodies (and 3 died soon thereafter) and therefore few have real first hand knowledge of how the bodies were disposed of. Two of them were with Hitler everyday on a personal level so I'm guessing they can keep a secret. I believe that Hitler and Eva are buried in Berlin today.

      I was just thinking the same thing, only a handful of people took the bodies to the surface and burned them. Many of whom died ( or escaped) shortly afterwards. I simply find it hard too believe that die hard nazis who practically worshipped hitler wouldn’t make absolutely sure that remains didn’t fall into enemy hands.

      Good theory. I’ve also wondered if they we’re actually buried in a different spot outside and we’re just completely overlooked by the Soviets. Too bad that whole area is built up today, we will never get to know for sure

      @@kayzeaza i wonder if it’s possible to find maps of where Soviet lines were on April 30th, then at least one could extrapolate in theory anyway possible alternative burial locations

    Once again thank you for the wonderful work and the great education.
    This information on Eva Braum alone justifies re opening what actually happened in April of 45 , like most , I accepted what has been taught, now with this information, I can no longer accept the general belief of what transpired.
    Thus is what I love about history , information comes to light that turns accepted history and turns it on its head, the game is afoot
