Centric occlusion: The occlusion of opposing teeth when the mandible is in centric relation. This may or may not coincide with the maximal intercuspal position.

In dentistry, maximum intercuspation refers to the occlusal position of the mandible in which the cusps of the teeth of both arches fully interpose themselves with the cusps of the teeth of the opposing arch. This position used to be referred to as centric occlusion.

mip maximum intercuspation complete intercuspation independent condylar position or its best fit of teeth. regardless condylar position teeth to teeth relation
and all occlus problem begin when there s mismatch between mip and cr when this mismatch minumum tmj adabt itself to mip
and called adapted centric posture ACP

Centric occlusion: The occlusion of opposing teeth when the mandible is in Centric relation, this may or may not concide with centric relation in natural dentition
