Another powerful tool for orienting oneself on the staffs is using Cs Gs and Fs as LANDMARKS. You touched on this with the lowest and highest lines on the clefs. But the landmarks of C, G, and F cover more territory. Focusing on the Cs, Gs, and Fs also allows one to see the mirror symmetry of the treble and bass clefs. You go from being mystified by the details to gaining an aesthetic appreciation for the symmetric layout which, once seen, you don't forget.
i’ve watched a bunch of tutorial vids that jst didn’t feel like i was getting anywhere & started wondering if i could find a tutorial that actually physically shows the note when written aND on the piano, finally found this vid, was exactly what i needed, thanks!!
HOW DO YOU KNOW ME SO WELL?? Just a couple of days ago I decided it was time for me to pick up learning how to read sheet music again and BOOM like a gift from heaven your video plops up. Thank you so much for all this amazing content and lessons your giving out for free here on TH-cam, it's highly appreciated!! Much love from Sweden❤️❤️
Bro you help me so much without needing to ask my teacher :D thank you so much continue what your doing cause your so good teaching people to understand easily which not many people can.
This helped me so much! I'm doing my Grade 2 Piano Exam next year and this really helped me understand the notes more. This channel is so uselful and I love it. -MeLikesPiano
Thank you ! I have no idea how to synchronize or project what I read to what key to push on the piano, now I have some semblance of visualization for it
Note to self. If it's a black key, it has a # or a b in front of it, duh! Ugh, I was watching another video just to see what the black keys looked like on the sheet notes! And it only showed the white keys. I haven't played since I was like 6 years old. And couldn't remember 😱
There are Pianos w/ 108 Keys made by Stuart & Sons called Big Belura & the range is C0 to B8, 9 Octaves like most Pipe Organs (although some Pipe Organs can play both lower & higher than that).
I want to sight read so bad so I could play for mom who rarely gets to visit us because I told her I would learn a piece that a love and I don't want to disappoint her and as well as my grandma who loves music and wants me to play for her so thank you so much for this video!
Hey thank.you very much for the video is just perfect May I ask you what is the program that you use When You click.a key on piano and then shows on the screen what note you click? Thank you !
i'm so glad i found this channel. i came across the clair de lune video and hoped this channel was still active, and i'm so glad it is. will be watching and learning all of christmas break 💗
My main instrument is violin. And i absolutely love the violin, but I also love the piano as majority of the music I listen to is piano music. I want to learn and I can play but I struggle so much with reaching bass cleff and all of the black keys. I really obly play by ear. This video helped me a lot but do you have any more recommendations? I can play well, but majority of the pieces that I want to play are in different key-signatures that I have no idea how to play on the piano. And or the notes will be so close together and it just sounds like im smashing the keys
Yes he definitely does!! Simply Piano just teaches you up till an octave neither higher nor lower than that, except the G Major Scale..that is why I'm here😅
Wow thank you!!! How much this takes to learn??? I really want to learn how to read sheet music cause, makes learning every song much easier (My mom told me) *Awesome video* 💗😸💖
Is that a program your using that makes the notes for you? if so i'm interested. I've also read that synthesia has something similar with sheets once you buy the complete software.

You should try doing more music theory because it would be really helpful as a music student!
I probably need to watch this for another 100 time 😅
Dont memorize them all
Cookie The extreme ledger notes are rarely used on music sheet so I don't memorize those notes. Should memorize the notes that get played often.

There are Pianos w/ 108 Keys made by Stuart & Sons called Big Belura & the range is C0 to B8, 9 Octaves like most Pipe Organs (although some Pipe Organs can play both lower & higher than that).
Their range is C0 (nine keys lower than a piano) to B8 (11 keys higher). Such a piano was only developed almost four years ago.
@@RockStarOscarStern634 Both of us are correct-they were developed in 2018.
