- Sohail is an ex-muslim who once followed a strict and orthodox form of Islam which eventually lead him to consider carrying out an attack in London. With a keen interest in Science, he found himself buying into the "scientific miracle" claims of the Quran, but later realised he could no longer substantiate these ideas. Having become more well versed in the science of biological evolution, Sohail went on to become a progressive Muslim, and later left the faith altogether.
Sohail has appeared on news channels, and featured in Reggie Yate's BBC documentary "Extreme".

Since my mid teens I always considered myself bi-curious. 20 years later I finally accepted that I'm bisexuality. I usednto get so angry with Muslims telling gay or Trans Muslims that they couldn't be Muslim anymore because of their sexuality. I used to think If "allah" made us this way, and were still practicing and have love for Allah how can a person say that we have leave a religion we believe in??
I left islam earlier this year, and am finally becoming comfortable with myself. For those who are on the fence of leaving islam, you holding onto islam is hurting you more. It's ok to leave islam. 🙂

Well looking at the Quranic miracles like "Iron being sent down", "Sun as a lamp", its embryology and so on, they are pretty pitiful in their very construction.
Resurrection is a somewhat "heavier argument" which some might find convincing. In any case it all boils down on resurrection being really true (or not), nobody from these days is left to testify.
In any case, when I see Christian apologists claiming that the biblical story about Noah or that the world was created the way it is described in the bible are correct, I have the same feeling of "are they really serious?"

I give full credit to this former Muslim; he is very brave for expressing his views openly. Sadly, there are not many like him, as most individuals tend to follow the herd due to the potential dangers involved.
Currently, there are 40,000 individuals on the terrorist watch list by MI5. I feel that we are at war with radical Islam. If we are not prudent, we could end up fighting a war on two fronts - one in the Middle East and the other on our own streets.

I watched him at a documentry.
The bio is a bit distorted. He was in the closet, repressing his gay feelings. He said he used to pray to be cured from his gay feelings but couldn't.
He ventured out and met up with gay people, went to gay events and lost his faith.
I feel like that was the most pivotal point for him not the "belief in science".
Also i recently saw him on GB news and read he's a henry jackson society intern. He was claiming to have followed hamas ideology and somehow would have joined or worked for hamas.

So the word Zoo is pronounced Joo in Gujurati.
According to your logic, this would be a flaw in language.
So because of this flaw your going to ignore all words that begin with the Letter Z.

I had a similar experience with understanding and how to implement islam to the situation that I was in when I was younger as I was not fully practising lost touch for a number of years. There are good people that are non Muslims in our society but there are also bad Muslims/ex who make Islam complicated and look bad for their own personal agenda. From my experience without Islam your heart is empty no matter what you got and I don't believe what you say about non Muslims not being hostile towards you and that it is Islam that preaches you to be hostile towards others. Islam teaches obedience and just cause the practising muslims are obedient it don't mean that they are hostile to non Muslims. A proper practising Muslim has a beautiful character towards Muslims and non Muslims maybe within the Muslim community there are Muslims that have flaws but that is there own weaknesses. Thats why we should not associate people to Islam as one may give you a good experience yet another a bad, but islam is correct and will never change, it is not a cult but a way of life that defends the rights of the palestinians. Also sometimes if you have doubts it's because you do not understand its better to take a step back I came to learn that in Islam you are allowed to be yourself and be a Muslim but there's a way to do things and we have to learn how to do things in the right way. Allah has alot of mercy and for Him to say that he forgives us for past sins if we make tawba even non Muslims that says alot.
Salafism is a safe space for people who are affected by the crisis of modernity.
Salafism is also considered blasphemy because there is no classification in islam. Any Muslims who clings to certain ideas about the nature of God and the universe becomes person who has no faith at all!

Hahahah this guy is such a liar! I knew him back in QMUL (Queen Mary University of London) and he claimed his reason for leaving Islam was that he was a homosexual. I even had him as a Facebook friend back in the day and he used to post non stop about homosexuality and Islam. Now all of a sudden, his reason for leaving Islam is science. Really? Oh and I have spoken to this guy multiple times, he once tried to use false allegations to shut down the QMUL prayer room and then couldn't back them up. (Just to add, in the UK we're at university from 18-21...so he was already an "ex-Muslim" when I met him, so his own timeline doesn't match up). Wow, what a blast from the stupid past!
