Game 4, going straight into bull from blade (IN DEFENSE LMAO which is how u got otkd) to get a guaranteed search before ur opp can do anything wouldve been better than atk position hammer kong pass. This would Deck thin by one increasing ur chances of drawing an interruption since u would kaiju a collossus and banish the other via whip+blade(from mortar). Atking over the colossus with something other drident would also let u add another whip(blocking a titan pop at least) then go for drident to pop duo. Ur draw for turn wouldve needed to be some kinda of interruption tho to win but having some chances rather than non is always better. If zoo lost game 5, wouldve been a disappointing thing to see since u couldve used boar to ss rat(which was caught turn 2) from deck, still end on drident, and get a search from bull for an extra draw next turn via blade. Either way always love watching these vids❤
maybe if u played a pure thunder list when they were first released it woulda been better because gold sarc was at 3 and they played instant fusion too. I think the problem with this list is the consistency.

Shock alone you have to call monsters is the only way to survive. I tested it PePe best play is summon shock (call monsters)+ 4 pendulums if possible. If the PePe player is able to make this field is gg While zoo need tornado + drident + any good trap almost always is gg. Interesting fact about PePe is: if the opponent have a 5 monsters negate board is easier to break since azathot doesn't start a chain than break a board that can hit your scales/monsters preventing azzathot Ptolemaeus is really important for PePe...
The fact that decks like Spyrals, Rulers, Spellbooks, Goukis, True Dracos or PK Fire couldn't even make it into top 16 baffles me honestly. In terms of power level, this is easily the biggest Cross-Banlist Cup ever.
This is the wrong Spyrals list (Tier 0 Spyrals is a contender for the top spot), Rulers and Spellbooks are too old, this Gouki list can only function agains other MR4 decks (gumblar would have had much better chances). True Draco too old and was a bit unlucky, PK fire too old and overrated anyway.

One of the points of the series isn’t to show fairness but rather showing the ceiling of the decks when paired against each other which is why I’m watching in the first place. We would probably never see a Full on Powered PePe vs Dragon Rulers or Gouki vs PePe so having these disgusting decks duke it out in their own combos are what I came for.
He misplayed massively game one. Should’ve done Lupine’s effect and go for the banish cost. Cause that way if he strikes you get a shuffle, if he doesn’t you garuentee a dark eff.
Yeah if he uses lupine first, banishing hawk and he strikes lupine, YOU GET HAWK BACK FOR FREE. If he doesn’t, you banish dark and go chain one dark chain 2 hawk. You loose a summon but get any thunder monster you want. And still have fusion in hand. So you’re clearing his board. Raw hawk was not the play there
Also turn 1 he could have ended with a colossus by sending og thunder dragon with battery then using fusion. The momentum would have shifted to his favor
powercreep Ruler if he waits to use the solemn he gets a garuenteed search and re-draw. So two new cards. One being drawn before the search. So his options could’ve been much better. He could’ve gotten much farther imo. Maybe not win? But he had much better plays

Hmm this match definitely was affected by the Thunder players lack of knowledge with the deck, the first 2 games were perfectly winnable, but he kept making plays that weren’t optimal. I guess that’s how it goes sometimes, just because one person sees a particular line doesn’t mean the one playing will be thinking about it because they are tunnel focusing a certain line they noticed.
Good match. A bit suprised at the result, but the brick hands didn't help Thunder one bit. Going for Pendulums 3-1. I think they're going to be the deck to beat in elimination rounds.
Pendulum can build insane boards, but like happened with gouki, heroes have dark ruler no more game 2 onward, if things don't get out of hand, 3-1 heroes
This no doubt is an exciting top 16 to watch for this year's cup. For the first playoff match, it depends on who goes first for the very first round since both decks are explosive combo decks, but remember that Heroes have access to MR5 cards like Nibiru and Dark Ruler no more which have proven to be huge answers to most decks of this year's cup.

Really interesting matchup. I honestly thought thunder would do better than they did, but they died to a single handtrap twice. Gnomaterial was cute, but Zoodiac can simply shrug off not being able to use one XYZ, it's really hitting something in the EMZ during MR4 where it shined. Next match, Hero is in for a humbling. I would argue that the Pend Mag deck with Electrum, Iris, and Wisdom Eye is right up there with Pepe in terms of power. Trapgraph is just such a strong card, and they should be able to simply rampage through whatever Heroes can set up.
I think that this build doesnt show the full power of the deck. A list that u could use, could be Frederico Mecozzi 2nd place list from Ycs Milan with Brilliant fusion...or maybe use the chaos thunder deck...

I was rooting for Thunder Dragon to pull an upset, those first two games hurt my soul. I'm going to be bold and say HEROES 3-2. We've already seen how strong Nibiru and Dark Ruler No More are against older decks like Gouki, but it can very easily still be Pendulum's game.
Pendulum 3x2 since they can have the pendulumgraph that you can get before nibiru or dark ruler. Priority number 1= pendulumgraph trap in vision hero increase
I think heroes will pull through simply through the power of a megatin side-deck. Pendulums later built ways around nibiru and dark ruler no more, but their historic list isnt meant to do that.
The hands Thunder opened could lose to 1 disruption, which was guaranteed to be there when playing against zoo. 3-1 Pendulums, easy win because dark law is almost useless in this matchup

Zoodiac was one of the last formats I enjoyed. I guess the main negative thing about it was how long the "combo" took to make but well, now we have even longer solitaire combo decks.
@@Neverbloom Zoodiac is one of my favourite and is really close to my favourite Orcust (and Spellbooks), their formats were the fairest in the last 5 years. Both their combos take a while but a fast person can do it in less than a minute. Also nice Abbacchio pic you got there

Wow, Thunder started really bad, otherwise this would have been another story, but great match. P-Magicians is stronger, but I'll go for HERO 3-2 because I want to believe in another Destiny Draw.
I was correct in who won. The deck that ended up winning is historically more consistent (one of the most consistent decks in this game's history) than the other deck and was likely to draw into interruption even if they didn't go first. Odds were in their favor.

Id vote for 3 barrage, 3 multirole, and 3 dinomight knight. I really want zoodiac, sky striker, and true draco to all be perfectly mixable strategies around the self destruction theme sort of like how most all pendulum strategies are mixable now.

The deck was crazy fun. Comboed off with self pops, striker to maintain pace with tempo decks like salad/orcust and draco to make stun an auto win mu. The decks main weakness is that it was hyper combo, since it wasnt made to stop/get through its absolute best boards and couldnt make boards big enough to stop their otks.

Zoodiac was one of the last formats I enjoyed.
I guess the main negative thing about it was how long the "combo" took to make but well, now we have even longer solitaire combo decks.
@@Neverbloom Zoodiac is one of my favourite and is really close to my favourite Orcust (and Spellbooks), their formats were the fairest in the last 5 years. Both their combos take a while but a fast person can do it in less than a minute. Also nice Abbacchio pic you got there

And yeah, also Zoo and Orcust were really splasheable and helped rouge decks get some pseudo competitive momentum going.
I don't know about spellbooks since I skipped Dragon Ruler format but seeing how that deck can still hold up even to today's meta relevant decks is amazing.

heros will get stomped game 1 for sure. Only way I see heros winning is if it gets access to its side deck and stops pends with niberu for 3 games.

Wow, Thunder started really bad, otherwise this would have been another story, but great match.
P-Magicians is stronger, but I'll go for HERO 3-2 because I want to believe in another Destiny Draw.
I was correct in who won. The deck that ended up winning is historically more consistent (one of the most consistent decks in this game's history) than the other deck and was likely to draw into interruption even if they didn't go first. Odds were in their favor.
I think pend will win the whole thing.

Id vote for 3 barrage, 3 multirole, and 3 dinomight knight. I really want zoodiac, sky striker, and true draco to all be perfectly mixable strategies around the self destruction theme sort of like how most all pendulum strategies are mixable now.

The deck was crazy fun. Comboed off with self pops, striker to maintain pace with tempo decks like salad/orcust and draco to make stun an auto win mu. The decks main weakness is that it was hyper combo, since it wasnt made to stop/get through its absolute best boards and couldnt make boards big enough to stop their otks.
