In case you’re listening on your phone and you want to sing along, but can’t close the TH-cam app to find lyrics.. Here’s the lyrics. When you were here before Couldn't look you in the eye You're just like an angel Your skin makes me cry You float like a feather In a beautiful world I wish I was special You're so fuckin' special But I'm a creep I'm a weirdo What the hell am I doing here? I don't belong here I don't care if it hurts I wanna have control I want a perfect body I want a perfect soul I want you to notice When I'm not around You're so fuckin' special I wish I was special But I'm a creep I'm a weirdo What the hell am I doing here? I don't belong here, oh, oh She's running out…
This cover gives me the chills . This dude didn’t change the structure or lyrics of the song but added his own emotion to it while making it original . It was really epic . Great job
this is a living example that being a good musician doesnt mean that you have to play difficult songs fast as hell but having FEELINGS that you can share through your songs
creep is actually a pretty difficult song for vocal artists because of all its intricate details that give it that emotion. The guitar arrangement is just chords being used to accompany the singing.
How he's playing it: 1st chord, E: 022100 (change up to 022200 now and again, you'll know where. Utilize your pinky finger. Listen to where he uses it or just throw it in when it feels right for you) 2nd chord, G#: 466544 (full bar) 3rd chord, A-mostly-sorta: 577600 (first and second strings are played open) 4th chord, Am-mostly-sorta: 577500 (he uses his thumb on the 6th string and moves his first finger to play the 3rd string. It just makes the transition smoother, faster, and easier. Once again the first and second strings are played open) Rinse and Repeat. Have fun! This is the best cover of this song I've ever heard and this key change is beyond refreshing. If only I could sing...

If there is anybody looking for the chords, here they are: E, G#, A, Am (He just plays this last chord doing an arrangement). The Am must be played like this: 6 - x 5 - 7 fret. 4 - 7 fret. 3 - 5 fret. 2 - x (you can play this one on the 5 fret too, but it sounds better if you mute this note). 1 - x You're welcome!

What makes this cover so beautiful is the fact that Chase is singing this song from his heart. His emotional attachment to the lyrics are very powerful and heartfelt. Incredible artist. All music should be performed this way. If an artist can't connect to the songs meaning, it becomes evident. Keep it up Chase. I'm sure you have a great future ahead of you.
The thing I find really amazing is that he did this video when he was 18? And I find that for being 18 he already has got that emotional depth / life experience to be mature enough to interpret it so emotionally charged...Adding he is a boy XD makes it even more interesting (As is well known how reluctant are some males to express themselves, unfortunately! ;)
His deep understanding and emotional investment in the lyrics make people feel the power of music. Such artists deserve more support and attention from us🥰
Finally I got to see who sings this cover. Congratulations, it's one of my favourite musics and makes me fly every time I hear it. Don't tell anyone , but to me it's better than the original. THANKS
I can't believe how unbelievably well he can hit the high notes. I honestly challenge anyone to do the same with the same amount of quality and control. Absolutely amazing never liked the song anywhere near as much until I heard this version.
He has exceptional control over an exceptional voice. And he clearly comes from a home sharing a love/passion for music, with a lot of exposure to great music. By far my favorite version of the song. I wonder what he could do in a professional studio, if this is what he does "at home" :) The more times I listen to it the more I'm blown away.
I tried singing those high notes and laughed hysterically at myself!! 😂 quickly discovered I just don’t have the pipes for it, Chase is undoubtedly gifted so that he can share his gift! ❤️❤️💕
I love his voice and his pitch is just about the same as mine, I can hit the same high note but not just the same sustain length or clarity (I'm a smoker). Now, if you want a man with an incredible range, timbre and falsetto? It has to be Sean Rowe on his track called "I'll follow your trail". Absolutely mind blowing..! 🤯
@@TexCyn14, I disagree :) Crum's version in great too, but for me, this one is more touching. Because it's very personal, but at the same time more calm. I don't know if you've read Maugham's Theater. There is a moment where the main character, the actress, takes the stage and puts all her pain into the role. After the performance she is told that she has never played worse in her life. I'm not saying Crum's version is bad. It's just too personal for me. It's almost awkward to listen to him. And here ... It seems that Chase speaks on behalf of everyone who listens to him. This is some kind of global personification.
I love this version too, his voice is very sincere. You ever heard Hoppipolla's version? It makes me cry basically every time and I listen to it a lot. th-cam.com/video/jYRpGohNjoI/w-d-xo.html
Its tuning is so bizarre that it gives me goosebumps, I went back to the song, and again and again. How beautiful! The technical terms that I can't explain should be prerequisites in music. 💗
2019 is soon to come to an end but Chase your song will go on for ages. I'm going through some old music of yours and it blews my mind everytime i hear it.
I love this song but I have hearing sensitivity. Thank you so much for allowing me to surrender to your voice and follow the beautiful dance until the end. 💗
I love how everyone in the comments is all like " this really his different when your depressed at 2 am." and im like " im listening to this while im depressed at 10 am..."
This is totally awesome. He not only sang the heck out of it he really just down right communicated the song and put so much emotion into it. I Like it much better than the original artist's arrangement.
I was looking for this song by another artist, and this was the first to come up. I thought I’d just let it play until I found what I was looking for. Let me just say…this is THE BEST version of this song that I’ve ever heard. Idk who this guy is but he’s absolutely amazing. So, so incredibly talented. So obviously now I have to look him up. His voice is 🔥 🔥 🔥
The universal power of love just allowed me to hear 2 AMAZING covers. Just before this Nathan Ball singing crazy and now this gem from Chase... Life is good
Il est rare que je laisse un commentaire mais là je suis obligé. J'adore cette chanson que je connais par cœur mais c'est la plus belle version que j'ai jamais entendu. Juste magnifique, merci pour ce moment magique.
I’ve howled this song at full pelt for years, for medicinal purposes, but you son healed me a bit in one sitting. I’m crying. And now I’m howling along to u instead of Radiohead. Well done and ur looking at big things ❤️🥰✌🏻
This is such a beautiful song, not only does he sing the song nice he put feeling into the song and into each of the lyrics, which in my opinion makes a song become more alive. Amazing job on this cover.
Yeah His deep understanding and emotional investment in the lyrics make people feel the power of music. Such artists deserve more support and attention from us.
To all the people saying he murdered this song or whatever I gotta say, as a musician, that this guy has a beautiful voice, in tune and it transmits emotions in a way not everybody can You may be used to hearing the original version, but that doesn’t mean this isn’t beautiful to hear
When pop doesn't make anymore sense and you look for something to vent yourself out, you come here. It's 2 am at night and IDK what I'm doing here. May be I'm a creep. And I love this creep.
I want to say something, anything that isn’t clumsy attempting to describe how perfect this version is. It’s a small word; perfect especially after listening to this but it’s all I can think to say.❤
How so? As in you had the noose around your neck and were about to kick the chair out from underneath and then somehow this cover magically started playing and convinced you to take the noose off? These types of comments are such BS
Your voice and your approach to singing continue to impress me, Chase. In this song you sang very well throughout and in almost "full voice" toward the end of the song. I have listened to several of your recordings and this is the first time I have heard you sing loudly. I have been wanting to hear you "belt out" a song so as to hear the strength of what I am calling your "full voice". This might be a challenge for you because this "belting" of a song (and the appropriate stylistic vocal choices) is what you would probably regard as "old school" but believe me, singers who can "belt" are favored tremendously by audiences. Judging from what I've heard so far, I believe you have the talent and flexibility to "belt" as well as to sing intimately. Regarding your performances I've heard up to this point, there is absolutely no doubt that you have a true gift for singing intimately which is one of the reasons I want to hear you sing the song "Like Someone In Love" which is an immensely beautiful "standard" perfectly suited to the sound of your voice and the naturally intimate way you sing. It is a song that was written many years ago but, IMO, music is ageless. I believe that a musical performer should never discriminate either in favor of or against a piece of music because of the age of that music. The song "Like Someone In Love" would fit your vocal talents like a custom tailored "musical glove". If I knew you personally, believe me, I would challenge you and help you to become an even better singer than you already are. So there is no misunderstanding, I am not looking to profit in any way from you. Simply stated, I want you to know I believe in your vocal and musical talent so much so that I find myself wanting to help you continue to improve and explore musically.
Chase, Judging from your reply to me, my guess is in this message I am telling you about a situation of which you are unfamiliar. First of all, I am sure you know about "limiters" also known as "compressors" which are utilized in recording studios and in some live performances so as to keep a vocalist or an instrumentalist form singing too loudly into a microphone and causing distortion. What it seems that you don't know is that limiters (compressors) or a relatively recent invention when compared to the length of time musical performers have been using microphones. The older performers like Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Ella Fitzgerald and others sang into microphones while utilizing what is referred to as "Mic technique". This technique is a skill unto itself. Good "Mic technique" takes practice. Basically though, it involves singing closer to the microphone when singing softly and backing away from the microphone when singing loudly so as to not distort. The trick is to make this technique sound natural and undisturbed. Watch videos of Frank Sinatra singing with a hand held microphone that were filmed in the 1950s and '60s. Sinatra was one of the masters of "Mic Technique" and his ability in this regard appeared so naturally that even though you watch for his "Mic technique" , at times it can be difficult to realize. I suggest strongly that you learn the "old style" "Mic technique because it is possible that you may give a performance in a venue where the sound system does not have a limiter. Incidentally, I too am a singer and years ago I recorded in studios before those studios had limiters. The "Mic technique" in a recording studio is somewhat similar to the technique as I have described previously except that the microphone remains still and while singing the body and, specifically the mouth of the singer moves back and forth from the microphone depending on how loud the singer is singing. Once again, using Frank Sinatra as a prime example, his Capitol Records recordings from the 1950s were recorded this way (with the assistance of a recording engineer) because there were, once again, no automated limiters in those days.
I am very happy to help you, Chase. Just out of curiosity, where do you call home? I have a challenge and a a request for you: Put on a concert for us. I mean make a longer than normal video (maybe 30 minutes) during which you sing several songs the way you would if you were performing "in person" to an audience of people right there with you. Do this with no edits in the video - an actual non-stop "in concert" performance. If you want to be really brave you could do a "live" broadcast. For a video you will have to do a lot of sound checks so as to not distort during the recording. You said you have good "mic technique" during live performances, okay, then don't use a "limiter" during the making of this video (or live broadcast if you prefer). Sing for us your TH-cam audience, Chase. Put on a show! You may even want to recruit the assistance of a couple of friends for this project to help with the cameras, sound and lighting. I offer you challenges like this one because I believe such challenges are good for your development as a performer. I very much believe in your talent and your strong potential for success. With TH-cam, according to the view numbers, you have an audience of more than 15.000 viewers which is definitely more than a "concert size" audience. At this point, I won't give you any suggestions about the pacing of your performance because I want to see what you do instinctively. Later, if necessary, I will help you with pacing. If you want to contact me privately, for now contact me through TH-cam private messaging. Later, if you want, I will give you a more direct way to contact me.
Ok, I was about to close my eyes enjoying the first minutes then your powerful voice came out.. Chase, seriously! You should make an album I'm buying it!!! btw this is one of my favorite songs, too. Has helped me through things, through the years and situations. thanks Chase, this is so beautiful. and yes you're special! 😉
Your talent and artistry is phenomenal. A perfectly beautiful song...a rendition that is even better than the original... the guitar, the voice, the tempo. I close my eyes when I listen to this and I’m transported to somewhere not of this world, and I don’t want to come back to reality.
Тысячу раз слушаю это произведение в Вашем исполнении. И тысячу раз убеждаюсь что оно самое великолепное, самое то, что пробирает до глубин души... Спасибо Вам!
Not a religious person, but this popped into my recommended. Tried reading along with lyrics, but couldn't see the last half, because of the tears that that filled my eyes! Incredible! Bravo!!
Just gonna leave this here in case you want to follow me elsewhere! I appreciate you all.

Couldn't look you in the eye
You're just like an angel

You float like a feather
In a beautiful world

You're so fuckin' special
But I'm a creep

What the hell am I doing here?

I want a perfect body
I want a perfect soul
I want you to notice
When I'm not around
You're so fuckin' special
I wish I was special
But I'm a creep

What the hell am I doing here?

2nd chord, G#: 466544 (full bar)
3rd chord, A-mostly-sorta: 577600 (first and second strings are played open)
4th chord, Am-mostly-sorta: 577500 (he uses his thumb on the 6th string and moves his first finger to play the 3rd string. It just makes the transition smoother, faster, and easier. Once again the first and second strings are played open)
Rinse and Repeat.
Have fun!
This is the best cover of this song I've ever heard and this key change is beyond refreshing. If only I could sing...
loving your "mostly-sorta" chord category, couldn't have said it better
also on the second chord, he also moves up to 466644 now and again, which I pull off by torturing my middle finger.
thehouseofklaus same here can't even sing a nursery rhyme without losing the pitch
Klaus Benson True backup guitar is all but one bar chord, as far as notes go. But he's fusing them for solo player
Thanks so much for the tips!
Could you please teach me how to do the grooving?

E, G#, A, Am (He just plays this last chord doing an arrangement).
The Am must be played like this:
6 - x

2 - x (you can play this one on the 5 fret too, but it sounds better if you mute this note).

Don't tell anyone , but to me it's better than the original.
THANKS
Glad we have the same taste in music🥰
The subtleness in this voice is incredible
Idk why but I just felt so much pain when you sang "I don't care if it hurts" that was so good!
David Vasquez IKR! That was my favorite part
So... I just played several of your covers at my party so congrats! You're now kind of famous in Argentina ❤️
Guillermina Donoculini WHO CARES. . I'M NOT INTERESTED IN BEING FAMOUS! YOU ARE THOUGH
what?
Meek, you high?
in witch kind of parties you play this kind of music ?
I was wondering the same.
Feels like there's no other beautiful cover songs than this❤
I can't believe how unbelievably well he can hit the high notes.
I wonder what he could do in a professional studio, if this is what he does "at home" :)
The more times I listen to it the more I'm blown away.
What stupidity, total lack of hearing...
3:36 - 4:21 breathtaking, chills, goosebumps!
The best version of creep ever, I can’t stop listening.
He’s great but Brian Justin Crum kills it with his version on AGT.
It makes me cry basically every time and I listen to it a lot. th-cam.com/video/jYRpGohNjoI/w-d-xo.html
listen to nursena yenar. She sings more good
@@TexCyn14 Brian Justin sings very good too, but this cover has an special feel unique in my point of view, that’s why I say it is the best for me. :)
Hands down one of the best covers of Creep out there.
It's good, but Blind Mustard's is In my Opinion, slightly better.
One of the best covers out there - full stop!
This is great but my favorite is from meira.

Juan Ignacio Gregoratti I love it!!!!
when i feel so lonely and helpless the only thing that soothes my soul is listening to your covers
I love this version so much...I keep coming back to it over and over. Takes my breath away...
Its tuning is so bizarre that it gives me goosebumps, I went back to the song, and again and again. How beautiful! The technical terms that I can't explain should be prerequisites in music. 💗
You know it's a great performance when you not only hear it but you feel it.
This gave me chills, even though i've heard thousands of covers of this song before.
No matter how many years... i always come back to hear this
I must confess that I need to listen to your covers every day since I've listened you for the first time..

Literally hit those runs with such a power I’ve never heard that good before
2019 is soon to come to an end but Chase your song will go on for ages. I'm going through some old music of yours and it blews my mind everytime i hear it.
It's not really his song, it's a cover

I watched this cover the same year it was uploaded, and here I'm again in 2024 claiming this has to be the best cover for this song!
This is totally awesome. He not only sang the heck out of it he really just down right communicated the song and put so much emotion into it. I Like it much better than the original artist's arrangement.
Ohhh like the sing.....
Awesome! This song is anyway the most difficult to perform and Chase you feel it you really feel it! Thanks you so much for this moment!
His voice is 🔥 🔥 🔥
Check out his sister, Sierra, too!

J'adore cette chanson que je connais par cœur mais c'est la plus belle version que j'ai jamais entendu. Juste magnifique, merci pour ce moment magique.
Wow!!!!!😮. So good!!!
that's not a cover.
I don't like covers.
this is a masterpiece.
well done my friend.
Chase, the quality of your voice when you sing Run, run... just so rich and beautiful... thanks for sharing this!
Orchestra standard?
This cover version shows how talented this guy is and how superb is Radiohead’s song.
Probably one of their worst songs though as most of Pablo honey wasn’t really matching up to their later releases
I’ve howled this song at full pelt for years, for medicinal purposes, but you son healed me a bit in one sitting. I’m crying.
And now I’m howling along to u instead of Radiohead. Well done and ur looking at big things ❤️🥰✌🏻
It's very difficult to cover an iconic song, make it your own and deliver a performance that transcends the original in some way. You did it... wow!
The gift you have of connecting emotions and music, is one of the greatest!
Absolutely beautiful. I listened to this for hours on repeat today. Made me at peace, with the beautiful sunset as background. Just prefect
To all the people saying he murdered this song or whatever
I gotta say, as a musician, that this guy has a beautiful voice, in tune and it transmits emotions in a way not everybody can
You may be used to hearing the original version, but that doesn’t mean this isn’t beautiful to hear
Murdered means he slays this song . He nailed it . Its just a metaphore in saying that he did a good job singing this song .
Adrie Ezuandie Mohd Khir I know some people say it as a metaphor, but there’s a couple or a bunch of dudes who don’t say it as a metaphor
Nah pretty sure you misinterpreted because I can’t find a single comment saying he killed it in any bad context.
After listening to this I can never go back to listening to the original song or any of the other covers.
Such a beautiful song. :')
So much love. ♥️
who's replayed it 1000 times already... wow what a song . play this in my funeral ( i don't feel special )

Idk why but I was on the verge of crying!! 😢 it was so beautiful beautiful beautiful!! It’s stuck to my heart
This song reminds me of my best friend who passed away on Christmas ☹️ miss you my friend rest in peace
Chase,
Judging from your reply to me, my guess is in this message I am telling you about a situation of which you are unfamiliar.
