What is the closest thing to a rope pushdown using Dumbbells? I'm thinking that kickbacks with the elbows not as close to the sides, and maybe even twisting the wrists at the top with palms facing down... Although I felt some strain in my shoulders trying it but they were already sore so not sure if it was just a bad day when I tried that. Any tips?
@@ihatestupidanddumbppl very good point! Those may work the lateral head more than over head DB extensions do... I know that they seem like the same movement, but being it's in front of the body, I would think it would target the lateral head a little more, especially with an EZ bar as you suggested...
@@tonynorris1506 if it's hurting your shoulders then maybe you're gripping too wide or flaring out your elbows too much. I do this exercise along with pushdowns and overhead extensions both on cable, and i never feel skullcrushers on my shoulders

Dips are great for lower chest, ties & shoulders. I personally do them for lower chest.

Im thinking overhead extensions are closest cause they are a similar movement just reversed. I hate cables so ill find any way to not do them.
skullcrusher with EZ-Bar works the same as pushdowns but it's less effective
