Most heartwarming moment in Souls I'll never forget, it was a few years and it was Dark Souls 1 and I was in the Painted World. I got invaded and rolled my eyes with a sigh since, this was Dark Souls 1 after all...It was an onion boi. I got defensive but he made it REALLY clear he wasn't here to fight. He dropped my Gwyn's Sword (He must have been a low level on NG+) max upgraded, a bunch of humanity and twin humanity. He praised the sun and leaped to his death to give me souls. Messaged him afterwards to say thank you and he said no problem! Merry Soulsmas!" since this was close to Christmas.
I always loved invading in painted world and opening all the shortcuts for the host since you could open most of them as a red phantom but I was also a bit of a jerk and would snipe them in the back with a greatbow as they ran to across the bridge to the boss and meet the tower knight
Had a guy invade me when I was very new to the game. First play through actually. He dropped me a bunch of stuff and sent me a voice message afterwards that was really nice. well since I was new to the game I didn't realize that the stuff he gave me was hacked items and I got banned. Ever since then...I never trust anything anyone drops in souls games. He ruined all of it for me.
I could not agree more! I have tears in my eyes, tears of happiness! That final clip has to be one of the most amazing and best things i have ever seen on this channel! Incredible!
@Harold Jenkins Thank you for the idea. I have a mule character that was designed for this very task. I'll be spreading cheer on PlayStation, when Christmas arrives.
yeah couldn't more agree. i have once while invading in Pontif area met friendly host. So we became friend, the other invader joined too. we did help the host clearing the area, did cosplay party, exchange items and in the end everyone black crystal out without no one end up dead. what a good time
Exactly and with the limited online gameplay that I do, its surprisingly common to get in a random game as either a summon or invader and make friends. Today I joined a world where the host had 2 friends with him. I was an Aldritch faithful and 1 other invader. We all just sat down and drank Siegbrew until another invader showed up making it a fair 3v3. We split the arena in a half and fought in a team battle. Moments like these make the online function so special.
I always try to be nice online but In dark souls 3 people disconnect at me In one i keep fighting try hards with the demon spear But the special moments make it worth it at the end
i finally installed ds2, and i have yet to be invaded :( probably just too early in the game or something. theres tons of blood stains and shades walking around, so i know theres players! i hope i get some jolly cooperation and dueling eventually
Had two Moments like this that i will never forget: 1. Got invaded in Anor Londo. After a few minutes of not seeing the invader anywhere he sent me a direct message (back when games for windows live was around) telling me there is a Vagrant in my world and he wants me to see it, because its rare. Met him were the Vagrant spawned. We witnessed the glory of the Vagrant together, i killed it and he Blackcrystalled out. 2. Got invaded on my first Playthough in Archdragonpeak. He waited on top of the Ascend for the Twinkling Dragon Torsostone for an epic duel i suppose. When we met, we both noticed we were fashionsouling the same outfit, mathcing armorpieces and weapons. That was the moment were we both decided we are some kine of long lost siblings i guess and just sat down and took in the view from up there for some time until he waved and left.
@@ericsbuds I missed them too in the following games :( I always had the idea of doing some kind of ingame event with Vagrants to the likes of Gravelording, that they appear on multiple player worlds and when all players killed the "swarm" they would get something from it.

Ah, the only time something like this happened to me, I was going down Dreg Heap with a build I was unfamiliar with, had a terrible run down to where Lapp is with no more estus left (had to loot the area, of course) when I was invaded and they came from where you need to progress down. I simply sat down in despair to let them kill me. Instead they looked at me, dropped a siegbrau, a couple of embers and let me be. I was so thankful and bowed and threw the Thank You carving until they left.
That reminds me of that short TH-cam clip of a Bloodborne player being invaded, but he's using some sort of begging gesture as the invader approaches, and a couple seconds later, the invader just leaves. Neat! Oh and remembered the clip in question is named 'A true bloodbro' on TH-cam.
Best heartwarming moment that happened to me was when 6 complete randoms all had the magic parry shield equipped, lined up, and parried a great soul dreg down the line for like an hour
The last one was really heartwarming. It's surprising two people found love through Dark Souls but it really lends to how amazing these games can be. Great video!
Oh my god, this is incredible. Definitely heart warming, in glad some people can see the struggle in other while they play an otherwise renown game for being difficult without invaders included.. I was one who cried at the wedding. I also wanna know what kinda cake can be had.
My wholesome moment was when I had an invader once when I was playing in lothric castle with a new chararcter. When I saw the invader I panicked and started attacking but all he did was dodge and shield dancing, I thought at first he was taunting me and he was dropping items. When I picked up the items he gave me a ring of favor +3 and sacrifice rings. Then he gave some more rings until I basically have the achievement of getting all the rings. And the thing is this was a random invader and I was laughing with joy, then he took all his armor off and jumped off an elevator shaft I was so filled with joy I had to call my friend and tell him what just happened.
And that's when I regretted that I didn't record the time when I Invaded as a blade of the darkmoon. There was also the red invader, and Aldrich. But instead of fighting, we just chilled, drank siegbrau, and had fun. Sometime later another blue joined us, and tried to attack my new friends, but later he realized that we were friendly, and he joined us. Of course the host was pissed, and tried to make us fight but... It failed. Sadly, it all ended with me being killed by a giant, and with red being killed by the traitor blue.
I really liked Artey's and Em's submissions. Someone proposing where they met is certainly a thing of beauty in my eyes, and I wouldn't mind at all if I found more times where it happens in a thematically dark game like dark souls. As for Artey, he seems to have that Saiyan mentality where he's looking more for a good fight than a victory, and that's very respectable.
This one time when I was going to the first bonfire in the Smoldering Lake I was invaded by a red phantom who was hacking with a full sonic cosplay (with blue skin and claws). He was going at insane speeds and had a super-fast attack rate! Of course, he killed me easily, but after he killed me, he dropped a ton of 'I'm sorry' down. A couple minutes later after getting killed by the hacker and getting back to the bonfire, I decided to help random people who were struggling to fight the big worm or the ODK by placing down my white summon soapstone in the Smoldering Lake, and guess who summoned me! That's right, sonic hacker! after he summoned me he drops down a couple more 'i'm sorries' and then dropped me 12 embers and one soul of a great champion! it was the most bizarre experience I've had in dark souls 3 to date.
I once helped a guy find a secret room in dark souls 2, The secret room with the estus shard in no man's warf, i kept opening/shutting the (very visible) door opposite, then pointing to the "wall" Felt really good when he got it.
This reminds me of when a friend and I where doing O&S cosplays in anor londo for invaders. One time we were invaded by an Artorias cosplayer, and then a Solaire cosplayer. we all messed around and chilled fro about an hour, it was amazing.
i wish i’d had recordings of my time with my friends in DS2, literally met some of my best friends on XBox by invading at the bridge. one time i got into a random invasion with three people, and we just all went dragon mode and roared at each other for like half an hour, then ganked an invader that got tired and tried to kill the host
I love the last one. Of all the places he could have put the proposal, from Anor Londo, to Dragon keep, to the Ringed city, he chooses the humility of the intended graves. How sweet and unextravagant
I could just imagine in the last clip that in the distance, a variety of different players in different covenants are gesturing the Hurrah or Joy gestures at the sight of the couple or doing whatever for the success of the two .
Today’s video represents what I like most about your videos in general: the good-natured exploration of dark souls that celebrates the playful and fun aspects of gaming and not just the adversarial nature of the games.
I fear this will result in more invaders that fight other invaders, trying to protect the poor host after you've picked off all of their password-summon phantoms. Whenever I invade truly bumbling solo hosts I do drop embers though.
It reminded me when i was PVPing in DS remaster and got invaded to the same laggy dude over and over again so i just started kiling myself which really confused him, after a while he DMed me saying he will drop me some weapons and other loot so we could fight equally, after that i told him that he was lagging too hard for me and we had a little heartwarming chat wishing well for each other, he is still in my friend list : )
Great video! Always love your compilations and how you give a platform for people to show their amazing clips. The last one really hit me in the feels, since I'm in very much the same situation
The last one is just mind boggling. So beautiful and creative. It would have been even cooler if she gave him the Wolf ring instead of Ring of favour tho! Representing Artorias and Ciaran.
Ah, heartwarming moments. You uploaded a video a couple of years ago where an invaders realizes a player is struggling and helps him and the player thanks him with a link to a music video. That's the first video of you I watched, so it's great to come back to these moments. Tbh I hope you make more. I rarely dabble in online in these games, but I still remember that one time an invader led me to an open area in the level so we could have a fair fight, or that other time me and an invader bowed and then out of habit I healed, so I stopped attacking for a few secs so he could lower my health again... and he noticed and actually stopped attacking as well. Nice guy.
Being 5000 miles away from fiance and unable to see she I must say the number one video is beautiful and it made me cry. Good luck in the future and it's nice to hear we are not alone:)
The last one is the reason why I love online videogames, you never know who you are going to meet and what they are going to become to you, a friend, a best friend or in this case the love of your live. It was a very beautiful gesture and very heartwarming.
It's not an online moment, but Voltorn Elda did something quite heartwarming near the end of his Dark Souls Remastered playthrough. With the gate to the First Flame open, Voltorn went back to the Grave of Artorius, and dropped the Wolf Ring, Artorius's Greatshield, and the souls of Sif and Artorius. There's no in-game reason to do this - Voltorn just said that it didn't seem right to just consume the souls, since he wasn't going to use them for crafting. Instead, it was a way to reunite a master and his faithful companion.
I've recently had a pretty similar situation. I've decided to play as an anti-invader (invade with red orb, but use SunBro covenant to singalize that i'm there to kill aldritches and other reds). I've invaded some lonely player, he realised what i was doing, he dropped 99 Embers and then we had a fist fight. Ended in him letting me push him off the cliff.
In the last one as soon as i saw the path with the lights i knew where that was going to, omfg that was so wholesome my heart just melted, and just as you said, yes, i would've never expected a marriage proposal in Dark Souls, thats a new level of geeky creativeness Q___Q MY FEELS CANT TAKE IT!!!!

Nice guy.
#1 Is just too wonderfull. Congrats to those two
Number 1 has me tearing up , that is the sweetest damn thing I’ve seen in these games
the end was so charming love it I am crying ::D
Number 1 was the most wholesome thing this year.
That last one though
Being 5000 miles away from fiance and unable to see she I must say the number one video is beautiful and it made me cry. Good luck in the future and it's nice to hear we are not alone:)
The last one is the reason why I love online videogames, you never know who you are going to meet and what they are going to become to you, a friend, a best friend or in this case the love of your live. It was a very beautiful gesture and very heartwarming.
I love this community, see you all in Demon’s Souls again!
That last one actually made me cry. It’s so beautiful to see something like that
4:00 Is that the Man-Bird's evolved cousin?
It's not an online moment, but Voltorn Elda did something quite heartwarming near the end of his Dark Souls Remastered playthrough. With the gate to the First Flame open, Voltorn went back to the Grave of Artorius, and dropped the Wolf Ring, Artorius's Greatshield, and the souls of Sif and Artorius. There's no in-game reason to do this - Voltorn just said that it didn't seem right to just consume the souls, since he wasn't going to use them for crafting. Instead, it was a way to reunite a master and his faithful companion.
The last submission was wholesome. I am happy for those two
that last one is wholesome and shows how nice the dark souls community truly is
my dark soul is getting a bit light the last one really was special
Last one made me shed tears of happiness
I really hoped he was proposing when he kneeled before her 😊

When 1st place comes, i temporarily become a kitten.

Top Ten Heart-Warming Moments!
Number 1 - Sunlightblade uploads a top ten souls video!
Ok, number 1 actually got me right in the feels.
That’s a nice way of saying your a traitor to your fellow invaders 😑
(For #1)
No... I’m not crying... it’s just... to wholesome...
Last one blew my mind. Absolutely incredible.
