I love when bass and guitar can both work together to create beautiful melodies and harmonies. I'm sick of so many bands that have a bassist that you can hardly hear and plays boring, simple shit just for the sake of it. But in this, the bass doesn't sound like its just there. It's out in front with the guitar and drums, and no one instrument is overpowering another.
Fretless bass too. Sounds damn good.
This times a million
Job for a cowboy just recently started doing that on their new album and it sounds fucking awesome as well. Someone just recently suggested this band to me and I'm so glad I listened.
Thydeepestfear Uhhh... their new album is to die for. I never liked them till now!
yep. new job for a cowboy and ne obliviscaris are good examples too
8 people really need to re think their fucking lives
Now are 24.
2:30 the blasts fit so perfectly with the melodies. Thank heavens I discovered this band
yeah, it's one of the best part of the songs and they don't play it like that anymore, such a disappointment
This makes me want to become a bassist
Good luck getting that good ever.
I mean I got a bass yesterday and I still don't sound like that guy.
Martti Merilaid Hell, I got a bass 6 years ago, and I still can't play like Dom Lapointe, I can just about manage to fumble my way through Omnipresent Perception, but it doesn't sound good.
Martti Merilaid then you will be. not now ofc, or next year or the one that follows. but eventually. you will be.
the day there is nothing to train anymore, that it is the day you should quit anyway.
I'm a bassist who can do a lot of metal covers. I also know two others who have played 20+ years. One of the two is a luthier who builds the basses he plays. None of us can play this shit. Lapointe is probably the #1 metal bass player alive.
HabeasMortis
les claypool much ?
This is just so incredibly good. Yes, everyone has talent of course but many waste it with sloppy song writing but not these guys, the whole beauty of this song is beyond imagination. You can do everything to it, sit back and relax, bang your head, scream the lyrics. This song just has some magic that never fails to get me.
Wonderful work guys, i have to congratulate you for the creation of one of the most wonderful songs ever.
this is one of the best songs I've ever heard
feel you
Yeah man
Album cover is sick. Reminds me of Halo.
PerpetualBurn27 Haha, damn man...the hours I spent on that game....
Thats right, dude,! I am big fan of halo too:)
Mass effect also
saw these guys live, they were the opening act at the cannibal corpse show, these guys crushed it, amazing band
+John Last damn they opened for cannibal corpse? that must've been a sick lineup.
Skull Nomad yeah it was beyond creation, immolation, napalm death cannibal corpse
+John Last that was a hell of a show. i caught the vancouver stop of the tour. totally blown away
Yeah hell of a show. i didnt know who beyond creation was at the time. Best band of the night. As i was watching it i was pretty sure their bassist at the time used to play for Augury.
cody evans i saw em toronto, besides cannibal corpse these guys were the best band there for sure, i didnt really like napalm death that much but beyond creation, immolation and cannibal corpse were all fuckin amazing
It's a damn shame that bands like you guys and all the others that I listen to aren't more popular. I just wish we lived in a world where our dedication to our instruments and passion for music paid off more than it does. I'm so sick of what is considered popular, even in the metal community, these are the guys that hone their skills and practice their trade to become better and create amazingly interesting music, yet they struggle like almost every other good musician while people like Bieber and Cyrus make millions auto-tuning songs that other people wrote for them.
If they were just instrumental, they would be a lot more popular. It's when they mix those crazy vocals.
Personally, I don't like the vocals but I can look past them when they aren't extensive like this song.
Kincaid Beach I personally believe a good deal of open-mindedness comes into play when you consider how many people are into the genre vs the people who aren't. You're a good example in that you can look past the vocals to give the instrumentals a shot. Most others, however, can't.
Beautiful inpiration by Death! Way to go, Beyond Creation, you guys are carrying the flag ;)
THAT BASS❤❤❤❤ Remainds me of Steve Digiorgio.
Best BC Song in my opinion, and one of the best songs i've heard at all
These guys a tosin abasi should work a little somethin somethin
That might be cool
Hell yeah.
I do not know if that will be a good idea, I really do not enjoy whatever Animals as Leader have released. I saw them live and I will agree that whatever they do is not easy to do, but still I get bored of it.
That would be amazing. Imagine this band:
Guitar: Tosin Abasi
Bass: Forest
Drums: Mario Duplantier
Vocals: Mikael Akerfeldt
That'd be my favorite band
1.-Look at the title of the song
2.-Turn that "b"upside down
3.-Enjoy this orgasmical masterpiece.
I see what you did there. huehuehuehue
Jesse Bowles You know, now m8.
+ThrasherTheKid I thought you were talking about the name of the band and I was really confused
Devin Meehan Haha, absolutely not! I said "Title of the song" lol haha.
Hahahhahaha
That intro forced me to become a fan. Beyond Creation almost needs to be classified with the likes of Mozart and Beethoven.
Have you heard their other songs on this album and The Aura (2011)?
If not, you need to check both albums out. Fundamental Process, this song, The Aura, The Deported etc. they have so many masterpiece, quality songs - and just on 2 albums!
Darrell Winter I'm down with that completely. The bassist man. Holy shit. I just love these guys.
This is just... holy shit. How you managed to outdo yourselves is beyond me, but goddamn! Your new material is so... fucking... GOOD!
This is a lot better than I expected! Is that a fretless bass?
yeah it is
6 strings fretless bass!
SoDerpy It's a poopless fruit roll up
The bass!!!! I Love the band
racon monster Ya dude!!! The fucking bass guy!! It's just fucking ridiculous!!
Fucking awesome, greetings from Mexico
venga ese paisa!!
puro paisa aca no mamen
Mr Nova59 Vengan esos cinco hombres!
asi somos mas para que los traigan
Asi es camaradas. Great songs, you are awesome band !!! Greetins from all parts from México to Quebec.
oWolex
Tocaron ayer!!
shiit :,v
Unnngghh is it October yet?
yep
This, Sun Eater, Lugal Ki En, At wars With Reality, Inked In Blood.... Christmas came early this year!
Oh yeah, that and Grand Morbid Funeral too!
Ah my bad! Anyway I'm stoked when I heard Nick Holmes is on vocals. Hail Bloodbath!
Yeah, the internet lost its mind when the vocalist wasn't Jorgen Sandstrom, but I don't see what all the fuss is about. Hope Grand Morbid.. kicks ass!
4:08 Omg simply out of this galaxy.
I played this at least 10 times in the last 3 hours.
Truly amazing stuff.
Those are rookie numbers
What happened to the official music video?
2:22 I absolutely love the combination of clean guitars and blastbeats! It shouldn't work, but that makes it sound all the more incredible - like a strange mix of beauty and savagery. Can anyone name other bands that use this technique? Akercocke and maybe Xanthochroid come to mind... BUT I NEED MORE.
+PairInstabilityType Obscura
+vincaslt did you hear their new single? it's so great...
Ne Obliviscaris, saw them live last week and they were amazing. They mix progressive and death metal styles, so they sound a lot like Beyond Creation.
+PairInstabilityType Spawn of possession - you must listen to them if you haven't already
lukeskywalker
Good recommendation. 'Incurso' is godlike.
Probably the only death metal band that can make me want to cry. Absolutely beautiful.
EXCELENTE SONIDO DEL BAJO. SIMPLEMENTE UN SUPER TEMA.
This is music, enough said
this is really great! probably their best song, although the whole album is very good as well - there is too much going in each song, in a good way I mean it.
The Aura was awesome. And expectations from new album are very high. But this... this seems to be absolutely ingenious and totally worth waiting. It sounds very original, after this release, nobody will call you "second Obscura" again.
agreed. However, I absolutely fail to see the similarities between Obscura and Beyond Creation except the excessive use of the fretless Bass and the fact that both play Technical Death Metal tbh.
Luemm3l That's alot of similarities for most people.
More like Obscura are the second Beyond Creation to be honest. There is indeed a similarity, though, agreed.
The point is: this album seems to have its own unique sound and will certainly stop this pointless comparison with Obscura (have nothing against them, Obscura is a cool but completely different band). We're now witnessing the born of new tech death legend.
I've found out about Obscura only recently and yeah, I immediately thought that Beyond Creation is the closest band to them in sound that I knew. Still, I've always liked BC more, they have much more sophisticated songwriting.
Beyond creation:Earthborn Evolution
Earthborn evolution has shocked equilibrium of biological species
As we create, we confine ourselves to mechanical torture
Deeper than imagination, mankind has drowned in a profound comatum
That will separate us from spiritual connectors
[Solo: Kevin]
By avoiding gravity that trapped us in atrocity
We'll find our way through the elevation path.
[Solo: Simon / Dominic]
Esta melodia caiu do céu, só pode! é algo divino!
its a shame dominic left.. =(
This song is gonna be legendary in ten years.
See ya in 6 years
forever man
It is bro. It is and will be
9 years later is still sick
Not sure if it's legendary but it's still gold
Unbelievable song. I love the fretless bass manner of their all songs.
most definitely a amazing song that blow's me away no matter how manny times i play it.
so perfect! you listen at this with closed eye and you start to fly !
someone knows the tuning of the 8 string guitar they use? Simon, are u there?
Anyone listening in 2017?
Grettings from Poland
this is so beautiful..
Porque te fuiste Dominic :(
Blast beat at 2:30 is freakin great
DAMN!!! This is far beyond technical death metal, it's like if aliens brought the future of metal to us haha. Awesome! Come to Mexico please!!!!!
Digno sucesor de "The Aura"
This is art and the art is gooooood!
Abiotic, Beyond Creation, and Obscura would make an amazing concert.
Os caras brincam de tocar, mano.
Thought I would like this band. But. Vocals????......bored.
Damn this shits 10 yo and I'm only finding out about this band. Killer track, blows a lot of other shit out of the water
So sick....😢 I wish i was born in your jamroom. I live for this improvement of music...
A music video for this song would be epic.
They deserve more exposure,
Just found my new favorite band and i never liked this kind of music. There is something about how the bass blends so melodically with the guitar. And his growl! It is simply a masterpiece. :) We need more bands like this.
This is an incredible track, somehow I feel like I'm listening to a death metal version of Rush
I learned this today on bass!
It's like Primus and Cynic had a baby, but the baby was a facehugger and it tore the shit out everyone and they were all covered in blood and their entrails were sprayed everywhere and then the alien baby took a dump on their chest.
Anyone here able to comment on the vinyl pressing's quality? Thinking about getting it.
sorta groovy but like, he couldn't have put more effort into making the bass go along with the song? lots of out of place noodling by the sounds of it
"the organ, in my eyes, is superior to all instruments." - Ludwig von Beethoven
As much as I love The Aura, the mix on that album just can't hold up when compared to this one
I wonder if Alex Webster like this band? and its BASSIST?
instrumental goes like Gojira.. ^^
Awesome song, but does anybody else feel the production is a little flat and thin?
Awesome song, but does anybody else feel the production is a little flat and thin?
this band is awesome!
Incroyable, surtoût la basse.
what an amazing fucking song. can anyone recommend any other bands like this that have 90% the song being little vocals like this?(i dig his vocals just love the instrumental aspect)
D Rogues death from florida annata from sweded gorguts from quebec

2:46 OMFG this part *_*
Awesome band. Need this music in my life.
Very good, fucking love this one.
this is the real montreal pride
This song.,it's beautiful.
why was the original video taken down?
Gracias Alejo from hell! 🤘🤘
These guys are fucking awesome man.
one of the best tech-death metal bands out there
the drummer had no triggers in this album, such and amazing job. i would love to see them live one day but i don`t think they`ll tour near my country :v :(
Didn't live, either, as far as I could tell
Groovy as fuck!
oh gawd this is fucking awesome
2:54 it's too fucking massive
So fucking impressive
Still here on September 2021
who else think this band have only one death metal song: omnipresent perception..
Headbang \m/ mania You and just you. Good bye.
holy tits that bass line. so good.
Buy the album to support them
It's so good it makes me want to cry.
This song is incredible!
Vera musica...
"add public comment"? wtf is that :D
+Fufux0rs i was about to say that aura worked for me better than this album
