    This video helped me a lot. The removing of the back cover it's as trivial as it's shown here.

    Nice to see HP includes the cable for attaching a 2.5" drive. I think there should be a rubber bracket or something to hold in place? Not really necessary if it's an SSD that you're installing in there.

    This is really just fitting components from smaller sized model to a larger chassis..... The huge gap between the vent opening and fan might be a bit of problem for cooling

    I got the 7 screws loose but that's where it stopped - you make it look so easy. I have the same tools you used also. Suggestions? I couldn't get the back of. Also, question: is there a SATA connection installed for adding a 2.5" hard drive in the provided bay? HP doesn't have them!

      Try prying near the rear of laptop. The corners are often the best place. Try with an old credit card too. You're right that the video makes it look far too easy. The case has already been lifted before it started. Take your time and all will be fine.

    I don't know why but mine was very hard to open. I was afraid to break the frame with some scratch or crack 😒

      Oh, for sure! Using a guitar pick and going back to front helped me a lot. Also, it's possible that one side is harder to pry open than the other.

      Could be a heat issue. These thin gaming laptops all start to throttle pretty soon.
      Try a cooling stand for the laptop. Helped with mine.

    • @interwebs7030
      @interwebs7030 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes and no.
      Yes you can install Linux Mint on a ProBook 450 G7.
      No it wont be without issues that require deep linux knowledge and some time to fix.
      This laptop is currently not very Linux Mint friendly.

    Can I upgrade gpu on this hp 450 g7?
    I am using it (i5 10th gen & intel uhd 620 version)

    • @interwebs7030
      @interwebs7030 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, the GPU itself is integrated on the cpu but you could add another ram stick to get a lot better graphics performance. (Up to double the speed) If you have 1x8gb, you could upgrade to 2x8GB to get dual channel working. This video demonstrates the improvement: th-cam.com/video/mdStl2S4Oao/w-d-xo.html

    These machines are very weedy, the casing is made from tin foil we have about 430 of them. They flex far too much!
