As a Romanian I can just say you can take your family on a trip here. Only the plain ticket could be expensive, but the rest not so much, due to differences between the economy in Eastern Europe and Western Europe. Sure prices are low but so are the pay checks, this is why we think the way of life in Western Europe is so expensive and this is why Westerners are always shocked to learn how cheap food and accommodation is here.
Not at all, it is countryside in Romania. Hundreds of deserted villages in such scenary. The people mived away to cities in search of money. Very few still live off the land.
I recently heard that this video with HRMKCIII caused a perpetual tourism boom in Transylvania. New roads, petrol stations, shops, hotels & other amenities in that pristine area shown.

What I like is the balance between man cultivated land and the woodlands around him like a warm hug. Now if every individual adult/ family could have enough land for a smallholding to manage he would understand the importance of water quality soil proper animal husbandry and plant life insect balance an 5:55 then would not partake in the earths destruction. Perhaps free education that has artisan agrarian life at the center so we can return to harmony and balance. A few strategic laws in place chain the corporations giving the agrarian and artisan back his market then perhaps we would have our song back. Iron clad laws remove the corporations from any production that can be produced by the artisan and agrarian. The corporations can be driven to sectors that are for the benefit of all with ecological restraints and fence lines such as high speed rail, medical technology plenty good things corporations can do. Fencing is for lawless beasts like an intact bull. ( think about the imagery with economic thoughts in mind) a little legal fencing in every sense of the word drive them back with a legal sword bring them into subjection. Most of the Romanians working abroad use the money earned to invest back in Romania, they don't forsake the country for another one. There are of course, some that are building a life for themselves abroad, but Romania is always touching a soft spot in our hearts. I am living in London at the moment, but I wish that I could return back home, under different circumstances. Even though I studied so hard, I have a job that I like... something is missing. It's not easy.

The Carpathian Basin is one of the last places on Earth where you still have these beautiful millennia-old forests untainted by industry or pollution.
Not for long, the austrian firms keep cutting our forests and bribe our politicians to not do anything about it.
