    Gotta love that East Texas red dirt! That stuff will stain a white car. You're doing such a great job out there with your property. I'm really enjoying the channel.

    Try a 1 or 2 inch wide garden auger thats 2 feet in length attached to a hand drill to dig your clay.

    Hey Pete, Just wanted to let you know--- bought a greenhouse and finished installing in late last spring. I used the minerals that you suggested and I have to say--the vegetables all had a great flavor. Thanks for the help, I really enjoy your shows.

    Lay that tube in the sun for a few hours, it'll get A LOT easier to deal with.

    Get your bluebird boxes and wren boxes out if you don't already have them , they eat garden bugs all day . A rural property with open field and scattered trees is a bluebird yard forsure .

    Did all this homesteading work get you in shape or did you implement a physical fitness program as well?

      I do work out in my garage when I'm not too busy on the homestead.

    Not sure it would have been better but I would have turned the tubing so the end came under the bottom, tied down the end, lowered the pipe just till it touched the ground then backed up the tractor adjusting the loader height as needed and hoped to save the wife wear and tear as well as myself. lol

    What is the diameter and the length of that roll? Where did you get it?

    • @petebeasttexashomesteading
      @petebeasttexashomesteading  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I purchased it from coopersupply.com/ out of Lufkin, TX but they have other locations. The roll was 500 foot long and it was just under 4 foot in diameter, it fit in the back of my pick up in-between the wheel wells.

      @@petebeasttexashomesteading Is that 2 inch pipe? That you for answering these questions, I have to run 2,000 ft of 2 inch pipe from the road to my place in Ben Wheeler.

      I'm using 1-1/4 in. pipe. You'll have to join the pipes together with a coupling like this one here www.lowes.com/pd/LASCO-2-in-Dia-Coupling-Plastic-Coil-Fitting/50139810 but preferably brass or connect two of these end to end www.lowes.com/pd/ProPlumber-Brass-Adapter/3679752 to connect the ends together. Here's a good video on heating the pipe up to connect them together using barbed fittings th-cam.com/video/NbYLsQijfQg/w-d-xo.html
