At last!!! I ordered my Grower Solutions greenhouse! Inspired by yours of course. ETA is about two weeks. Many cool season plants started. As far as meat, long ago I had cut out beef and pork and rarely any other meat which is fish and chicken. Chicken must be free range of organic but I dont really trust that anymore. You can get home farm raised chicken from Taste and See farm in Tyler. I signed up will be getting some to try out. I figure they'll be my go to safe chicken source.

For instance my Dr has always said that certain cholesterol levels can be hereditary... high levels of 'bad' run on my dad's side. I shared the same Dr as my grandmother and for the last 20 years of her life he tried to get her on meds for her cholesterol, and she ignored him. She still lived on her own when she passed at 92. And she was a 2 pack a day smoker into her 40's! Doesn't mean anyone should ignore their cholesterol, but a lot of people from that generation live long lives - why? Didn't eat a lot of processed foods... grew/raised their own... always cooked with real butter and lard. Wasn't all these bio engineered foods. No hydrogenated oils. If you read the ingredients and you can't pronounce half of them... it can't be good lol. Thanks for sharing 🤠
Yep our food today is killing everyone slowly. I'm not worried about my cholesterol anymore because now I know that the main culprit in heart disease is a high sugar and insulin blood levels. If people would stop eating all the grains, pastas, starchy foods and seed oils, there wouldn't be all the heart disease we have today.
You are eating to live, not living to eat. Very good. Do you eat any type of green vegetables? Not potatoes. I’m talking lettuces, kale, cabbage. That is what I’m having the hardest time giving up. I really crave my greens. I’m not eating fruits or potatoes. I still cook for my family. It’s hard to cook big meals you can’t eat. I see my doctor in mid December for blood work. I’m interested to see. My insulin was 5.6 five months ago.
There's shouldn't be any problems with eating real vegetables with meat. But I would stay away from the high oxalate vegetables. I can no longer eat veggies, grains because they cause inflammation which lead to all my chronic illnesses.

I would agree with 99% of what you are saying, but your cholesterol is not ok, Your LDL is just too high with a low HDL. There are long term effects of this, I wish you all the best.
If it were 1994 and not 2024, I would agree with you. However, the understanding of what cholesterol and lipoproteins are, and how they operate has advanced significantly. The outdated understaning of cholesterol and lipoprotein carriers (like LDL) was that they would somehow *_CAUSE_* negative health outcomes on their own → that the higher the amount of cholesterol, the higher the chance of negative health outcomes. But now the understanding has advanced. Now it is understood that it is only when cholesterol and LDL are exposed to damage from sugar (glycation) that they become problematic, and that the quantity of cholesterol and LDL is irrelevant. Another way of explaining the shift in understanding is like this: Before, we saw forrest fires and blamed the trees. And we believed that reducing the number of trees on earth was the smart way to reduce forrest fires. Now, we see forrest fires but we don't blame the trees, we blame the source of the heat → discarded cigarette butts, improperly managed camp fires, lightning strikes, etc. Blaming trees for forrest fires and wanting to reduce their numbers because you think they are the problem is like blaming cholesterol and LDL for negative health outcomes and wanting ti reduce their numbers as a solution. It's a total misunderstanding of the actual source of the problem. Tress don't *_randomly_* catch fire. Something that isn't the trees is causing the trees to catch fire. The problem isn't the trees, the problem is that there are things that cause trees to catch on fire. Same with cholesterol. The problem isn't cholesterol or LDL. It is just as ridiculous to declare that cholesterol numbers should be artificially forced to be minimized in order to prevent negative health outcomes as it is to declare that the number of trees on the earth should be artificially forced to be minimized in order to prevent forrest fires. I use a spray and do a few sprays a day inside my mouth on the lining of my cheeks. Same with d3 and k2 spray. Much more sustainable
