I have 2 of these - the all black and this one with the positive display. They are indestructible. It is a big watch, but not heavy. If you need the mother of all beater watches…this is it. 👌🏻
Wow....that's a Godzilla....that thing is a field watch, diving watch, pilot watch, everything...(just not a dress watch)...i would wear this thing despite it's much bigger than my wrist, but only with a T shirt. That big boy is built to last forever. OK, Mudmaster is great too, but because of few sensors inside it must be more expensive, especially with a sapphire. My Casio PRW60FC was really expensive thing 1 year before only because of sapphire and because of a bunch of sensors, and it's not a G shock, that's a ProTrek, and it's still expensive today. Really i don't know is it possible to buy a better watch for that money....maybe only a size is a bit questionable (but...G square is there, too.) Nice video Simucom, a completely crazy watch.
First time seeing your channel...very nice review style...i just ordered one...if i could make a friendly suggestion, perhaps you might consider a USB mic on a stand so you have much nicer voice recording quality...because your review style is up there with the best 👍🏻
Yep, it looks like as one of the early G-Shock prototypes; attached the strap and throw it on the market. Definitely, that's not the case, considering the complex structure of the watch, but still...
@@childrolland I think they should've made the display a bit bigger and it would've looked fine. The GX-56 is even worse in terms of visibility due to its negative display.
@@traviswalker8933 Definitely. After work today, I 've went to the near-by watch shop just to see how the screen of GX-56 looks. The legibility is really bad , especially compared to the regular Casio Collection watches having inverted screens.
Part of that is because there's an additional subframe with gel for additional vibration and shock protection...it is a bit larger display than the DW5600s or GLXs...you wouldn't be able to achieve as much protection otherwise...but ya aesthetically at least it would be nicer if bigger
@@helisoma it doesn't compliment the size of the watch. Plus it's impossible to read with the negative display. The display is the same size as a DW-D5600.
Okay so.. here after 2 years of your vid... Pretty late I know.. Currently I have 2 in my wishlist, GA2100MG (Moon Edition) and GSW - B56BB ( Blackout Basic ). Just wanted to know, which model did you compare B56 at 3:44 . :D

The mother of all beaters is a great way to describe it

This is probably my second favorite watch behind my Seiko King Turtle.
Both solid watches 💯
@@degenerateWA I love them both but the turtle has a history in my family so it'll always be #1 to me.
I never knew about this watch but my God this is going to be my next G-Shock! Compared to my trusty GA-100, this is definitely the King.
Good choice!
@@degenerateWA Well Lo! And behold, I just bought the GXW-56 yesterday. My very first square and it is a King!
How is it going?
Excellent review. I have the one you own, which I think is the best, and the Seven Lucky Gods version. Great watch. A classic as you say.

I appreciate the recommendation and also the kind words. The journey to improving never ends so any help is great.
i appreciate you getting the weight
no problem
The only complaint I have with this is that the display is small for a watch this size.

I own this one , the black and the black and red. Got a good deal on eBay some months back for all 3.
Nice, solid collection of watches right there.
O have one " King " its great and i recomend. Nice vídeo !!
Great choice and thanks for watching🤘

It is the GMWB5000 with a resin strap
400 plus as of August 2022 for a new one (watch has been discontinued)
Dang, I sold mine for around $50 last year lol
What is the exact song of the intro? Please

I'm not near an atomic clock, will it still stay in time?
Yes. Without a radio signal they are accurate to +/- 15 seconds per month.
Will this be suitable for construction work?
Totally dude. G-Shocks are made for construction🤘
Where did you buy? I'm afraid to buy and it's not official
I purchased mine from Amazon.
@@degenerateWA I love the look of the positive has that retro feel.
damn 3 years after.
have u ever used this on a black out? i wish the EL could function whilst changing modes.
Bless Up bro
Yeah i like to re-review my watches because you never know how a watch is going to hold up over time.
@@degenerateWA tnx bro
Have you run into any issues with condensation or fog behind the crystal? I heard that was a problem with this watch but I am not sure how widespread.
Is this made in Japan?
Made in Thailand. At least mine is, not sure if there are JDM versions of it.
They are all Japanese’s G -Shock just assemble in Thailand 🇹🇭 I bought mines from Japan 🇯🇵 love your video Simucom 😊
Wish we all have 8" wrists😓
I used to have 6.5" wrists
Okay Sim, where are you? We miss your shit....I don't know about the others but I miss your shit to be honest
I'm back my friend🍻
@@degenerateWA I'm glad to hear, I thought you're dead or something disgusting like that.... I'll really sleep better tonight 😁
Nice Casio but too rich for my blood.
It's unfortunate that G-Shocks are as exspensive as they are.
