I like this. You're creative, quite talented, and good at assembling talented musicians to create an appropriate sound for the style you seek. But after "Devil's Child" a few months ago, I spent some time trying to understand what makes bluegrass bluegrass. I can't verbalize it, but I don't think this (or "Devil's Child") is. Both are good renditions and the instrumentation is suitable and I enjoy both creations. Thank you for sharing.
That was pretty darn awesome!! Kudos to the band!! I'm not much for that song, but once again Robyn you made it something to tap your foot to. Again, the band was fun to watch and are great.

I loved your voice and your fiddle player was awesome but whoever did the mixing on your video seemed to have left out the audio for the most part for the banjo upright bass and drums.

Why is the banjo completely removed from the mix almost? It doesn't sound like bluegrass without that. Maybe it's just my headphones not working right, but I can't hear that instrument and I know what it should sound like in there. It's not like it's a quiet instrument, either. Just, the song was missing that p[art and doesn't sound right without it. Come to think of it, it sounds like the high end of the recording outside the vocals was turned down to try to give it a more heavy sound to it as the fiddle was really low toned as well.
I really don't care for the audio engineering on this one. If you are going to do a cover in a style that relies on acoustic instruments, you can't just wash them out in the mixing console. Put the banjo through a short tube amp reverb filter to give it a more electric guitar quality. Leave the fiddle alone, it's perfect for AC/DC, and turn the attack on the plucked bass up as really harsh with a long to medium ringing on it that is about 1/4 or less in volume of the line.
Yes, these are the wrong terms for an audio engineer, as I'm an electronics technician and those are the circuits I would use and the amp terms for them. What I am talking about doing is making the banjo have light distortion caused by an analog amp that is more tube based and giving the bass a stronger punch to each pluck along with a bit more note length than a plucked bass normally has. The fiddle doesn't need touching, it would be fine untouched for AC/DC, as would the vocalist.

Here .. stick to what you do and stop butchering classics... And this is a CLASSIC... You don't see the best ever rocking band doing shite covers of anybody else's songs... Too much self respect...
