I grew up watching Bonanza reruns. Now that I'm over 50, it's easy to forget what a great show it truly was. I watched this episode tonight -- the first Bonanza I've seen in at least 25 years -- and it served as a good reminder.
I love this episode! It's one of the most creative ones I've seen. Most episode endings are to be expected, but this one definitely offered a twist at the end. I really enjoyed it. Thank you so much for posting it.
Wait just a second! How is it possible that every episode is the BEST episode! Thanks again for the uploads Gringo! Completed blown away by the excellent writing, direction and acting in every episode, every season!
Funny how the ones that have to have a group to cover their arses, because they can't stand alone. And I love Ben's counsel, teaching his son's what's really right and true in the midst of so much emotional pain it almost seems unbearable, thank you to all the true father's in the world.
Watching these classic episodes brings back many found memories. I lived with my grandparents, andy grandma loved Bonanza. It came on a local station every weekday at 4 pm . We never missed an episode. That would have been mid to late 1970's. I now am a grandpa and I am shearing these quality times from the Cartwrights with my grandsons. Thanks for the upload
That's a very clever way to deal with a villain. Imagine being that vain. Little Joe and Hoss were my favorite characters, so any episode with them is like gold to me. Of course, I prefer them together. One of my favorite episodes was the pancake eating contest. I laughed so hard at Joe trying to keep Hoss from eating, before the contest. Thanks so much for the upload, Grjngo-Western Series! You're the best.

Yes, I adore Joe as I do the rest of them, but he is something else. Good for Joe that he was raised by Ben because otherwise he would probably be a menace to society. Joe will snap off on you at the drop of a hat....sometimes I believe he has a slight 'tick' if you get my drift? Did you see the episode when he drew his gun on Ben?
I'm not crazy about the laughter at the end. You've still got three dangerous guys out there, the sheriff is nowhere to be found and Joe and Paco have a long trip to Mexico.

It kinda reminded me of Faerie Tale Theatre’s Snow White episode; the evil queen is punished by losing the ability to see her face in any and all mirrors; she literally goes insane. For somebody that vain, any punishment that involves badly altering their appearance will do the trick.
This was a very enjoyable episode. A great fight scene! Even though they used those dumb hold your hands together punches that no one ever used in real life but always show up in westerns. Hmm maybe some other shows. Didn't Captain Kirk fight like that? Why you. Let me hold my hands together and telegraph my super double punch by winding up for two seconds. That'll show you sodbuster!
