I agree. My culture doesn't believe in the evil eye (It's an absurd concept after all) however 36% of human cultures do have this superstition, and have devised various ways of combating it. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evil_eye
Make up seems to be in the Indian way of combating it. ---0---
I suppose before we discovered microscopes, complimenting babies by saying "aren't they cute" seemed just as likely source of infant and childhood mortality as demons and witchcraft (which are also unreal)

tamuna tevzadze well as it might seem absurd it’s part of the Hindu religion and I am Hindu but my mom doesn’t do this very often just sometimes and you should just respect it and I agree a baby looks better with out the eyebrows and eyeliner at least a little dot on the fore head would be enough
