    Too bad I can't like and subscribe more than once....
    There is something about how you explain things, that makes it razor sharp and clear to me.
    Good job!
    EDIT: Finally got around to trying this last night.
    Once I watched this video five times, and a few hours of cussing later, I finally got the technique down.
    One thing that was hanging me up was the correct placement of the light panel floor piece.
    I got what you said about making sure it's connector was pointing away from our connection points.
    What you didn't explain, and what was hanging me up, was how the rotation of the part in the flat plane was rotating the plane of the wire connection.
    I had to watch several times to see what I was doing wrong, because I would rotate it to make it point away, but the teleporter would glitch in at strange angles.
    Once I saw how the lightning bolt was positioned on yours, and made the mental connection, everything worked as it should.
    I'm kinda dumb at times..
    Thanks man!!!

    Just did this yesterday. It was daunting at first because I've never done glitch building before. But once I did it once or twice, I understood the purpose of each step, and it was much easier. Then it was just a matter of making it work. And I gotta say, it works pretty well. Sometimes it glitches out, like the terrain doesn't load in once I teleport back. But I got over that by putting down platforms to stand on. Sometimes, it doesn't teleport me all the way, but that's only like 1 out of 10 jumps. Overall, it works very well for my nanite farm. It makes it much faster to mine those molds.
    And I just gotta say that the double teleporter looks amazing. I just can't get over how nice they look when the pieces overlap like that.

    • @Beeblebum
      @Beeblebum  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, totally agree how satisfying these relay stations look.
      The terrain is an issue indeed, I think that is why they limited the teleporter cable to 200u... But with the platform below it, you should have a few seconds to have the terrain to catch up.
      Never had the half jump myself.. but it might depend on how many relay stations you build. 😊

    I spent a long time yesterday working on this - can be done with 3 teleporters instead of 4. set up the first 2 200u apart, then delete the "mid-point" teleporter. Now set up your furthest teleporter, and you can now join a cable back to the mid-point cable. Unfortunately, this alone does not work, but if you now replace the mid-point teleporter (placing exactly where the 2 teleport cables are joined), then it works - only 3 teleporters :) !!!

    So, this works. I followed the instructions and it does exactly what it's supposed to. About 60% of the time. Other times, it just kinda dumps me somewhere near the middle of the "bridge". It's fairly consistent about its dump spots, but I can't for the life of me figure out what I'm doing right when it works or wrong when it doesn't. I suspect this may be related to how much of the base is fully loaded at the time of the port, but I'd love to hear your theories. I am, however, beginning to suspect there is a reason why HG limited the base distance to 200u.

    Love the video but you should do an update showing the more useful version of doing this horizontally and using gravity to make swapping teleporters automatic. Specifically, you can use the wire glitch to place these at a 90 degree angle from normal (long axis parallel to ground). If you do this in pairs with the "exit" of the first teleporter placed directly above the "entrance" of the second teleporter, your character will enter the first teleporter, fall out (due to gravity) of the first exit into the second entrance (placed directly below the exit) of the next one and so on. In this way you daisy chain as many teleporters as you want in any direction you want. I'm not sure if this has been posted before, so apologies if this isn't new

    • @Beeblebum
      @Beeblebum  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have been making Teleporter Bridges, Carousels and rollercoasters in every direction.. haha. In theory the teleporter bridge can be made in no matter what direction, the important thing is that you make sure you prepare your build that you do not lose building rights along the way. The gravity one would work, but it only works one way. The Teleporter bridge can be used to travel both directions.

    Huge fan of your tutorials! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and techniques. Will there be/or is there already a vertical teleporter bridge tutorial? I'm currently attempting a vertical setup for my sub orbit base and am having problems making it work. My base is 1542 u above the surface(well within the 2000 u limit) and I can't seem to get accurate vertical distance measurements(200 u max length/height) for placing SRTs and their corresponding cables/wires. I would love to have the seamless transition from ground SRT to the base SRT.

    • @Beeblebum
      @Beeblebum  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Cheers Dragon, There is not a tutorial for that yet.
      There are a few ways you can do it... But the problem is mainly the building rights not showing. So you need to extend your base so you keep the building rights.

  • @demandred1957
    @demandred1957 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    One thing I noticed, I couldn't merge my own two bases together to make a super long tp bridge. I built everything up right, and made a bridge on either side of the base overlap line.
    But when I connected one series on one side, to the opposite bases series on the 180 degree side of that platform the teleport stopped at the base line. it works up to that point from either side, but does not chain to the other base.
    I might be doing the merge wrong though, idk.
    Once I deleted the second base, and used the wall trick to extend my build range, they work as expected.

    • @Beeblebum
      @Beeblebum  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We did a lot of these teleport bridges in the past, between different bases - However, with the recent changes to distance rendering, I assume the teleporter of the 2nd base does not render in in time to cross over.
      Sad, but yeah - guess we need to deal with this.

    I just tried this build in my base. One location required 2 regular teleporters and 2 glitched teleporters (4 total) in between. If I use this it does some weird behavior on your character.
    After using the glitched teleporter with 2 jumps in between, if you try to access your Minotaur, it breaks everything. Your character becomes invisible and all interactive objects no longer work.
    - Teleport still works on your invisible character.
    - You can't use ships, exosuits or other interactive objects within your base.
    - You still take damage and you can still use weapons.
    Since you can't access starships anymore, you can't use auto saves. I'm not sure if you can access Save Beacons, but I don't want to overwrite my saves and corrupt it. Reloading any previous saves doesn't work at all, which means you have to restart your game.
    EDIT:
    I disabled my minotaur and tried it with the starship after using the teleporter bridge. There was a 5-7 second delay before I was transported inside my ship. Some items also started glitching and you can't open the color selection menu in Construction mode. You can still save, but reloading a save doesn't work anymore (you have to quit the game).
    From the looks of it, it doesn't appear to corrupt your save file so you're good to go. It just breaks the game for some reason lol.

    If you plan to combine bases, I will save some headache. The teleporters will only work on the same Power network. There is no way to do this with out a transfer station. I wasn't able to find a way for bases to share power networks... So I want assume it's not possible. I really hope someone can prove me wrong cause that would save so much time and resources.

    • @Beeblebum
      @Beeblebum  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, they have taken out the wire rotation, which is a big bummer.

    Sometimes, when I am performing this maneuver to glitch other parts (a small refiner) onto the center of floor panels (in this case a small floor panel) I cannot get the wire snap point to rotate direction (using a xbox controller on PC, and yes my brain is smooth). It seems to have nothing to do with unlucky button timing, as it repeatedly fails. I have to start over from scratch, and this sometimes works. As far as I know, I am following the methods you laid out, at least the fundamental principals. Lightbox/wire snap point orientation, and general order of procedure etc. I haven't been able to suss out where I am going wrong. As I said, sometimes it works, other times not. Any ideas what may be causing the inability to rotate the wire snap point? Thank you for your vid's btw.

    • @Beeblebum
      @Beeblebum  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Wire rotation got kind of borked with the recent patches, they normally work, but the game can get confused.
      Some suggestions:
      - Move the build camera to the opposite side and see if the part glitches properly.
      - Or remove the wire you glitched your part on and then glitch the other part on the remaining wire
      - Instead of WireGlitching, use the Universal Adjacency Glitch, (see example in this video: th-cam.com/video/ZY9fZBraHBk/w-d-xo.html )
