Oh thank God, better than anything on TV today! What great actors & comedians. Just an absolute classic.
Good clean humor - no profanity, pornography or violence. Terrific comedians. Classic series. Just as funny as I Love Lucy.
Better actors than you can see today pure gold
Gold can't describe it!! Pure Platinum
💯 💯 💯 💯 💯 💯 💯 💯 💯 💯 💯
Thank you for allowing us to view AMOS AND ANDY. One of the best comedy series of all time.
I remember watching them as a child and would get so excited when I knew the show was coming on.
Too bad it was removed from TV. and what I feel was for the wrong reasons. Comedies such as THE THREE STOOGES are just too stupid to enjoy.
Watched as a kid, my self and I'm 77
And enjoy Amos and Andy sitcom as
Much today.....
The best tv series I remember when growing up. Real funny. So glad I came across it on here to be able to watch again. They were the best!
The Kingfish was a scream. One of my favorite shows as a child.
Shows produced for radio AND Television were so much enriched by dialogue and audience laughter. Watched these shows as a child, I loved the "Kingfish", literally always angling for a line...
I ❤️ believe the Kingfish helped to make that show so fundamental
In high standards of pure comedy
Not like today's sitcoms...No comparisons....these Amos an Andy
Are PURE PLATINUM.....
Fine acting! Talented actors.
One of the highlights of my childhood was watching and enjoying every moment of this
ME TOO !
This is too funny. Adorable. Never heard of this show.
The NAACP pressured the tv stations to take it off the air in the 60s.
This is a good show
Where were you 1951 - 1953?
Jj as Jimmy walker and other 80s and 90s was just as bad, but no one said a thing
Ashunda Thomas Me neither.
Amos and Andy shows were pure Platinum....The Best sitcoms Hollywood has ever put out.....NAACP destroyed all this beautiful talent.......and the best sitcom to ever ❤️ come out of Hollywood....
Never watch the show because of all the negative I heard about it but boy am I glad I started watching it. Absolutely gold
-Be your own person Don't let others influence you. If they don't like something,,That's fine,,,But it's not you(or me) & the heii with them. Be your own tough cool person & be proud of yourself. I chose for me Not you.
@@auggie803 Amen to that!
Heard about this show my whole life, not nice remarks. Saw 1 episode when i was 58 & was hooked! Binge watched all the epidodes in a week!
Absolutely 💯 Pure platinum!! Don't think Gold measure up to this quality entertainment....
I can't find all of them any help ?
Kingfish is one of the best , I wish they were on tv again.
The NAACP would go freaking berserk and slap some kind of injunction against the network right down to the show’s janitor to prevent it ever being shown.
Very very good i miss these old good days
This was a good sitcom and wholesome.
I can remember watching this as a kid and laughing I still do.
yeah until the NAACP had it taken off the air because they claimed it was insulting to colored people. That what they called them back them.
Me too and I'm 77 now.😂
CAA stood for Civil Aviation Authority, predecessor to Federal Aviation Administration. It’s hard to believe that at the behest of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (how ironic);AMOS ‘N’ ANDY was taken off the air in 1966. Good thing that these episodes are available on TH-cam.
Only the shows from the 40's on, are on YT, sans the propaganda pushing black face first TV movie. The 40's is when government took majority control of radio with WW2, and that is why we don't see anything of the USA from the 30's in this show. The shows are funny, mixed with anti family and immoral business as the real propaganda.
I bet those two examples are not in the 30's broadcasts, and they have been censored.
What is scary is these characters are better spoken than people today.. Frightening...
They cared.
better spoken than black people, you mean.
I just discovered Amos and Andy here on TH-cam, they were the black version of the Honeymooner’s, but even funnier. I urge everyone to take a break from all the chaos going on in the world, and laugh so loud your belly will hurt! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
more coming soon
@@reelblack That would be great, because I’ve now watched then all.👍😎
Kingfish Teaches Andy to Fly, 1955. Alvin Childress as Amos; Spencer Williams (as Spencer Williams Jr.) as Andy; Tim Moore as Kingfish; Ernestine Wade as Sapphire; Johnny Lee as Calhoun; Kim Hamilton as Charmaine; Frank Gerstle, Tower Controller; Fred Graham, Airfield Mechanic; Robert B. Williams, Tower Controller.
Great Actors 👏👏👏📺
This is a good show I enjoy watching it. If only there were more seasons
"Ahhh Andy. Forget about her. There are plenty of ladies who will like you just the way you are."
"Yeaaa, but who wants to go out with one of them stupid chicks?"
I and some friends I shared that joke with, have not laughed so hard in a long time. Me, decades.
I loved watching Amos and Andy as a kid and i always thought they were one of the funniest shows ever and im glad you are showing these episodes because i believe these people deserve to be recognized as pure talent and outstanding human beings
Funny is funny no matter your color !
used to watch reruns growing up one of my favorites of all time
One of the best shows ever
Kimberly Suzette sent this to Jimmie Lee Jackson in Ripley TN. HE LOVES EVERY EPISODE 🤣 He grew up watching this Amos and Andy ❣️❣️❣️
I love these guys ❤. Great show and acting. Thanks .
Kingfish is a trip
Watching that hurt 😞! Respect to the pioneers ✊🏽
I grew up on this love it
No show has made me laugh harder than AMOS AND ANDY and I'm 72. Thank you so much REELBLACK !
🤜🏾❤️🤛🏾
Awesome show, great cast.
Funny episode! I thought I had seen them all but apparently NOT!😂😂😂
This was a great show.
What a crack up episode ! ! 🙈
Humour with good reasoning. Thank you
Kingfish 🐟 the Con man. 😆
BLESSED DAY STAY SAFE
Andy’s flight begins✈️ 😂 20:18
Great show. The NAACP were only happy with Poitier-style folks… Not that Poitier wasn’t great, but if you really want representation, you gotta serve every course.
I remember good clean comedy black why does it matter? Wonderful.
"UN-QUOTE!" 😂😂😂
very liking and funny, i remember those days.
THIS SHOW WAS PRICELESS. IT'S SO MF 😂😂😂. KF IS 1 OF A KIND.
I like this.
What fun!!
It was the radio show not the TV show with the negative remarks but never let others opinion sway your thoughts
Why R there no statues of Tarzan in Africa?
thank you for the culture and the laughs : )
ps the Bermudas woule have been more reasonable !
Anybody that hasn’t watched this show has just completely missed TV all together. The one that staid with me all these years is when King Fish sold Andy a race horse named Come Latter
🙏🏾🙏🏾
Oh i enjoyed watching them Back in the day.
wait isn't this blackface? i thought the naacp pushed for this show's cancellation
(upon further reading, i see the history of the franchise is more complicated. the television show is different from the radio show.)
NAACP is a joke !
They took my comments down because I said thiswasdegrading...
Andy would have been the perfect actor in an idi Amin bio pic.
Classic
Charmaine giving me strong Janet/Charlene vibes from Different Strokes 😍
these actors excelled in their crafts & were intelligent but in order to act, the ultimatum given to them by the white owned studios heads was to speak using incorrect grammar - the reason black activist for equality forced the end of this and other similar shows/movies - a bitter sweet action (w/ equality, these shows would have been wonderful to watch) hope all of you actors in heaven found equality there SIP ancestors

2:21 "We need some money in this house, and it's your job to bring it in." No wonder people hated this show. That was blatantly sexist.
You are confused. When people hate a show,---it does not last for 30 years on the air live. Now you were taught it was racist and sexist. But the real progressive indoctrination is anti marriage, and anti free market. I admire their free market spirit, but they are put in the roll of snake oil salesmen.
If you can see those two points in these shows, then you will know you have been tricked with distraction. By the way, nothing on this earth is more brutally sexist and racist,--than communism. They are tricky, psychological masters. You will figure them out most likely, ------eventually.
@@EarthSurferUSA It's nice to know that I'm not the only one here who can't tell when someone's joking.
This show can't hold a candle to "The Beverly Hillbillies." That was the best sitcom ever.
Wow! They portrayed black men as not only being dumb, but lazy, (as he wouldn't take the doorman job), but would actually con their own friends out of money, rather than working a legit job.
Also interesting is that they added laugh-tracks to make the TV audience believe this syereotype was somehow, funny.
Exactly
you obviousl
Is it any different from today, plus this show was no different from the honeymooners.
Not all the characters fit that stereotype. Amos owned and operated a taxi. Calhoun was a lawyer.
Yes, there are some things that you won't like about characters on TV, but most comedies have someone that's stupid, etc. Ever watch Abbott and Costello? It ran around the same time. They never had a real job, always running from the landlord because they never had the rent money. Did anyone complain? If it wasn't stupid, all they be doing is sitting at the lodge all day and wouldn't had a plot or story. I watched it as a kid, but I never wanted to be like Kingfish or Andy. If people thought that we were all like Andy and Kingfish, then they lived out in the boonies where they had little or no blacks. I've never thought people were like The Three Stooges, slapping each other etc. This was to me, nothing but acting for the camera to get laughs.
Watched it start to finish with my parents. Very funny but horribly black stereotyped.
That's exactly why so many people, black and white and everything between, enjoy The Boondocks so much. Stereotypes are part of what makes comedy relatable and funny. If these characters spoke like white people, a lot of the humor would fall flat because these characters wouldn't be immersive. "Stereotypes" aren't inherently negative.
I used to watch this with my grand paw! I just realized where all the comedy in my life came from. All the characters and singers that Kingfish ( George Stevens) influenced, from Fred’s Sanford to Dean Martin to Foghorn Leghorn, and me!
This is so racist. It show the black man old and broken not being able to provide for his family. And the black woman being mean and dominating her husband
Pretty accurate to what I see in my community. Also, shows like the honeymooners display the same things
@@yahadyashabbat9364 I hate both of them because it’s a baaad image of us. The image our oppressor loves to see. This ish ain’t funny to me
@@truthseeker4460 I’m never said it was funny 😂. Shit sad
….you’re kidding…ever see The Honeymooners?
@@hertzair1186 I would expect a racist to enjoy the humor and not see nothing wrong with black people in a negative image. No surprise here🤷🏿♀️
