There's a BIG difference between "Not authentic" and "Not authenticated." If CGC says it is not authentic, it should mean they looked at the sig and determined it was fake. Maybe your guest meant to say, "Not authenticated" by CGC; have to see what they put on the label.
On that DD #2 with the SL sig inside, why don't they take a photograph of the signature and put it in the slab on the back cover, I've seen this with modern books on a video recently, but it doesn't seem to happen with older issues! It's a shame as once slabbed, you've lost that piece of history!
