  • This protocol demonstrates the use of a syringe-driven direct injection vaporizer as part of a digital, low-flow anesthesia system. The direct injection vaporizer accurately delivers anesthesia at very low flow rates compared to a traditional vaporizer, making it a promising alternative for controlled anesthetic delivery to rodents.

@@johnpap9239 you can't argue that using animals is better than using humans, bad humans that is.

@@charlesben9104 Actually I can, here's why. Testing on human subjects can not only be dangerous, but it is unethical as well. just because somebody is undesirable or bad in your eyes, that doesn't give you permission to take away their right to autonomy and just experiment on them. the only time humans are used as test subjects are when the experiment or drug has been proven successful in lab animals first. scientists and healthcare workers are bound by an oath to do no harm to anyone and only take action that is necessary for the good of the patient/society. I understand where you are coming from, your position does make sense, however understand that when it comes to experimentation with animals, there is much paperwork and review by multiple committees to make sure you aren't just playing around with animals and that your research actually has a purpose. If scientists had access to prisoners as they please for the sake of 'research' it would result in a huge amount of legal issues because it is both ethically and morally wrong. If we used prisoners to experiment it would basically be a less barbaric version of what Nazi scientists did to the Jews.

@@johnpap9239 I agree that there is tons of paperwork and review by multiple committees to make sure you aren't just playing around with animals and that your research actually has a purpose.
