I have controlled my outbursts much better last few years but I always have my expectations too high - ESPECIALLY - for how little time I spend practice or playing. It’s nothing for me to shoot 79 today and 102 tomorrow on the same course and conditions. Cheers

Playa, referring to the draw - swing to right, aim to target, when you hit a regular shot from the fairway do you focus your eyes on the ball - or the ground / path in front of the ball? I myself have improved my game by focussing on the path in front of the ball and not the ball. Guys I play with say I have a natural draw - which is kinda nice to hear - if only I could hit a 6-iron further than 160! I wonder if there is a correlation here...? Great videos - thanks I really look forward to seeing these :-)
richard r I actually focus on the ball but have sort of an awareness of the spot just in the corner of my eye. I like what youve done and as long as it gets the job done then you must continue. In terms of distance though, its difficult to say why it wont go longer than 160 without knowing the clubs, the swing the technique etc. 160 is not a disgraceful distance for a 6 iron though. I heavily doubt that its your technique of focusing on a spot in front of the ball.
@@GolfSidekick Am just watching you now with Didi @ Gary Player CC. Great advice, I need to plan 'more shots'. But given I started playing casually at 50 (now 56) and I play off 24 (2 shot bandit :-) it is likely my shot impact. I did hit a 6-iron once 198 - one bounce and straight into a hazard! Lol Stress free golf - I agree. Played yesterday and my biggest club a 13.5 3-wood was naughty so I went straight back to my 5-wood and scored under :-) Stress-free btw - tell Didi I love his swing - he is a 'swinga'
richard r Also sir if you are off a 24 handicap, I highly suggest getting rid of the 13.5 degree. That club will get you in more trouble than it will help you. If you really want a fairway wood, you should check out minimum 16 degree. Thats an easy loft to hit and will be perfect but if you have a 5 wood then no need. Just get rid of that 13.5 lol I am a 4 handicap and wont play a 13.5 degree NEVER! Dont worry about distance at this moment. Focus on hitting fairways and getting it near the green then putting and chipping to a 16 handicap. Then you can worry about distance. By focusing on htting it further, you hit it harder and then lose control of the swing. Focus on rhythm

With the draw on this video is the draw created by trying to hit the area in front off the ball?
John Charles I highly recommend you watch Robins video in the description. Its quite good at explaining it. I look at the spot I wanna swing toward before the shot, then try to swing the clubhead over that spot through impact. Its a shortcut to get your club face swiping across the ball to initiate the draw.
Looking at ball through impact but preshot while envisioning and preparing to hit, I am focusing only on that spot. The hole becomes irrelevant. I trust my spot and land on my spot. Its just about that spot. And if you feel uncomfortable cos you need to be too tentative, its the wrong club and wrong spot and perhaps a putter is better or more loft to be more aggressive.
Watched a few Robin Mathew Williams vids, but probably won't be back due to his potty mouth. I enjoy your vids far more: clean, informative, entertaining and fun!

I’ve laid up by hitting it fat 😂
I lol’d as well. This guys videos are the best
Now are your eyes focused on that spot or are you still looking at the ball through impact?
Looking at ball through impact but preshot while envisioning and preparing to hit, I am focusing only on that spot. The hole becomes irrelevant. I trust my spot and land on my spot. Its just about that spot. And if you feel uncomfortable cos you need to be too tentative, its the wrong club and wrong spot and perhaps a putter is better or more loft to be more aggressive.
Can you do the same thing with a fade?
Exactly sir
You know when the music comes on you're gonna see some serious shit
I will need to mix it up, so you playas don't get complacent and fall asleep when you hear the playamusiek

Watched a few Robin Mathew Williams vids, but probably won't be back due to his potty mouth. I enjoy your vids far more: clean, informative, entertaining and fun!
Yes, it's very understandable that bad language won't be popular with majority of people. Thanks for watching playa
Great vids. If you’re ever in Ireland 🇮🇪 give me a shout and I’ll show you a few courses here. Stress free Chief.
Looking to get there this year or at worst next year!
Golf Sidekick we’re falling over great courses here. Give me a shout if you’re coming over and we’ll sort out some golf for you. Simple. 👍
Yes sir and you're the only western european country to allow us South Africans in without a visa!
