- A narrated walking tour of the heart of Long Beach California: the Waterfront district along the harbor. We'll tour Long Beach's Shoreline Park, Pike Shopping Mall, and Shoreline Village. Other notable sights along the walk include the Queen Mary, Aquarium of the Pacific, Ferris Wheel, and the swan boats! Shoreline park also has some amazing views of the Long Beach skyline. Nearby is the Catalina Express ferry with daily service to Santa Catalina Island.

I grew up in Long Beach so I know this place very well. I proposed to my wife right at the light house.
So empty, is it a weekday?
I use to go to the Pike in the 1960's . Riding the big wood roller coaster was amazing. Sailors all over the place. The games where you won prizes so fun. Great time!!!!
Hi Sandra. I used to go there when I was a little kid too. I looked forward to riding that roller coaster when I got older. I bothered my grandparents to take me back so much, they told me it was closed way before it closed.
The Long Beach coastline is where I scattered my father’s ashes (his wish); so the city has been a most memorable place for me ever since. The Long Beach shoreline park is a beautiful location and, as you pointed out, offers plenty of interesting activities for people to turn it into a fun-filled day trip. Great video. 👏🏻

I live in Long Beach and forget how beautiful it is! There is also a free Passport bus that is great for getting around and saving on parking. It even goes to the Queen Mary. Although, Im not sure how things are during the pandemic.

That looked like a nice walk! Although it looks strange to not see many people at all there, at least it was nice and calming! I like that view of the end with the harbor and all the shops and restaurants around it.
Great vid Chris thanks brought back lots of good memories and great to see the changes since I was last able to visit LB, shame you didn't make it into shoreline village but I suppose in these strange times it's better to stay away from people and it could have been tight along the boardwalk, thanks, stay safe and hi from the UK.

20 years ago I went to school in Long Beach and it has some great areas. It's kind of overlooked for LA and Orange County, but you can find tons to do on PCH or the Shoreline village!!!

Like the video, I wanted to mention the Aqualink it is a boat ride to Alamitos Bay from shoreline waterfront walkway (Look for the sign marked Aqualink), it will drop you off at Ballast Point and you can walk to Seal Beach (only $5 one way)

thanks Chris!! for the past 10 years, we would stay on the Queen Mary for my birthday, and have my birthday dinner at Sir Winston's.... I sure hope they open back up someday... I heard the management company went bankrupt :-(

Long Beach, CA is trying to attract tourists and become an international tourist spot but behind the aesthetics there are lots of issues facing this city even before the pandemic.

Oh yes there is. Not by the beach but in the downtown area which is a few blocks up from this area.

iI am from here ive been here many many times ive actually worked here as a messenger in 2018 and i was born here at Long Beach memorial hospital, and i promise you, this place boring asf.
You should do a walking tour of the worst parts of Long Beach. Like where the minorities live and the violent gangs and drug addicted vagrants camp.
