FOR THOSE WHO DON’T HAVE THE BLUE PIECE: You can blow into the nozzle of the filter or use a hand held ball pump. Both of those suggestions will blow pressure into the filter and push the water out, clearing it. Just did it to mine and worked like a charm! 💪🏻 Thanks for the video! I would have never known!
I actually just scrubbed the outside with a paper towel, then blew into the nozzel till I saw the beads of water coming out of the sides. It's working great now.
This worked perfectly! The filter works better now than when I first got it. I'm glad I found your video. Scrubbing with a Scotch Brite pad just wasn't cutting it...
This is so incredibly helpful. Installed new filter and is barely alive after only a month. I read a lot of people having this problem and giving Alexapure some pretty negative feedback. I had just sent a message to them about my filter, and I think they should upgrade their customer support with a link to this video. At $119 a filter, I was ready to throw the Alexapure off a bridge. This is entirely doable and you save Alexapure's reputation by pointing out the design benefits, despite the frustrations. Keep up the good work. I love my Holy Hydrogen machine too. They have excellent customer service by the way. I did have problems with my machine which they totally fixed and returned to me. It was not a cheap fix, but they honored the warranty and were very kind and helpful with problem solving before it became clear nothing was working and I had to send it in. There was no charge, and they were very kind and helpful. You do excellent work, I love your videos and your focus on natural ways to enhance our health.
Thank you for the kind comment. I will recommend when you can to get a unit from www.mypurewater.com, far superior to the alexapure, much cleaner water and never have filter issues and the coupon code is uprising144k, I’ll share mine in the future soon
I found the easiest way to back flush was to take the filter and move it to the bottom of the top container to let the water flow backward through the filter. Open up the valve in the bottom container and let it go to waste.
I didnt have the rubber device in the video but I removed the spray nozzle from the kitchen sink and wrapped a latex glove around it enough to force some water to go in and that did the trick. Thanks… I wouldn’t have known to do this.
I used an electric pump with a needle valve the kind that blows up basket or footballs. Shove the needle valve into the filter hole and turn pump on. (put filter in a pan of water first) This will clean out all the debris that is in the filter.
It depends on the water quality being used, but I would also recommend watching my video th-cam.com/video/Tg3xNUlsJIE/w-d-xo.html And th-cam.com/video/A9oMhUFXl_o/w-d-xo.html If your crazy about good quality water
I feel lightheaded from blowing into the filter but some water came out and I hear drops filtering now after putting it back. Its worth the brain cells
I have a question I have one it's still brand new. I only used it a few times and I stop using it for almost a year!!! Would I still be able to use the same filter 🤔
@@UPRISING144K it worked a little bit I'll try an air pump maybe, but there's still like a few inches of water at the bottom of the top part that's not really draining to the bottom, is that normal and is that water still ok if you put more and it filters down? if that made sense
I don’t know what it’s called, but you can find it with testing kits that are made for testing the quality of the water or how good the filter is working. You can also try blowing into the filter.
I have had my Alexapure water system just shy of 1 (ONE) year and my filter has stopped working. According to the description, the filter should last approximately 5,000 gallons. I estimate that we use 2.5-3 gallons per day. 3 gal * 338 days = 1,014 gallons! Nowhere close to 5,000 gal. If the estimate for the longevity is so off base, I have to wonder how accurate the claims for the purity of the filtered water are. When I called customer service about my problem, I was told that the filter should last 6-8 months. WHAT?!? Extremely disappointed!!! And a new filter is NOT CHEAP!
Thanks for this video. I didn't know where to get that blue gizmo, but after thinking about it I realized I might be able to do the same thing by forcing air thru the filter. I had a small hand pump (to blow up balloons) and used it to push air thru the filter. I did it 3 times, and so far the filter seems to be working better. Another possible fix is to fill a small balloon with water, attach it to the filter end, then squeeze the water to flush the filter. I haven't tried that yet but would love to hear if anyone tries it.
I got 372 measured gallons out of my Alexapure filter . I kept a measured record of what I put in . My water is piped in from a water filtration plant that supplies my area . I used that filtered water through the Alexapure . Plugged up at 372 measured gallons . I am trying a trick now that I read about on the internet about unplugging a filter and it is crazy when You read it but so far it is working . It would be cool to find the little blue filter primer shown in this video or some alternative
have been using my Alexapure for quite a few months... I noticed in the top there is about 4-5 inches of water that doesn't filter down into the bottom... Alexapure said this is supposed to be like that.. Has everyone noticed that ????
Do the Berkey style filters remove beneficial minerals? I always thought they left the minerals. Our family has been drinking Berkey water for 5+ years and I have never added minerals😳
@@UPRISING144K Great news! Thanks for everything you are doing in the space of hydrogen and water! I just recently listened to you and Luke Storey and have a new level of excitement about hydrogen. I've been taking the pills, but am now going to save up for a Lourdes! Keep up the great work!
Yes it does, but I have learned from experience that a carbon distiller cleans water far beyond the alexapure, but I still like my alexapure for back up

what do I do if I let my newish water filter dry out?
Soak it in water with the tip sticking out of the water for 24 hours or contact the company and ask them also
Is there a link somewhere for this rubber item from Berkey?
Unfortunately it comes with the kit to test the water of a berkey, but you can also try blowing into it very hard
Good to know. I’ve only had mine for a couple of weeks. How long can a new one work before I would need to do this? Thanks.

Great! I'm trying to think of something I can use to improvise for the little blue piece. What is the blue piece called?
Not sure, it’s used to prime the filters for the berkey system . Maybe check their websites
@@UPRISING144K I Checked the site and didn't see it...
"GARDEN HOSE" - USE OUTSIDE....
Having a second person there to hold the blue piece would be a great improvement.
Donde podemos comprarla??? Saludos
Look for water testing kit for berkey or simply blow into it
What is the name up that rubber hose like thing your using so I can find it on the berkey website?
It’s for testing to see if the filters are still good, it’s part of a kit
Any recommendations for plug in counter top distillers or reverse osmosis?
The best ones are at www.mypurewater.com coupon code uprising144k, that’s what in use and I have made videos about it.

Yes that should be fine.
I cleaned it really good and ranned two cycles thru so and it works perfectly fine, tasted tested on the third cycle! 😋
Blow into the nozzle woth WHAT? This spoon air bubble trick I saw on reddit worked for 5 seconds..then it went right back to not working. Figures.

I can’t find the blue attachment you’re using on Berkey’s site or on EBay. Any chance you can share a link? Thanks!
