I agree with you. My son has a Berkey and I was planning on getting one, but after much research I decided on an Alexapure instead. I am very happy with it. I feel that the Berkey is an excellent product too, but in a side by side comparison, the Alexapure wins. The only complaint that I have about the Alexapure is that the filter should not be allowed to dry out. If you are leaving your house for more than a couple of days you should disassemble it and put the filter in water. I had a family emergency last year I expected to be gone only 2 days. It turned into 3 weeks and I had to get a new filter. Lesson learned.
@@carolschedler3832 Hi guys. I’ve read that the Berkey and Alexapure filters are interchangeable. I have the Alexapure. My son might prefer the Berkey Light. If that’s what he gets, he’s a little impatient, so I’ll offer to prime his filters and do the first flush in my AP. Or maybe I’ll just prep his whole system at my house, and all he’ll have to do is fill the top container. I don’t mind. I reseason his cast iron, too. 😊
On the Alexapure website, it clearly says their Filters are only for 200 gallons. Berkey 3,000 each Filter. Where can i Offially see that Alexapure is more than 200 gallons Only ?? I checked Official main website of theirs.

Berkey and Alexa are good. While on the other hand, Berkey stand behind their products for a life time. That in and of itself makes Berkey a much better investment hands down.
I have both of them and have been using them for a long time, both are fine. But with all honesty, the carbon distiller I’m using is so far superior and makes way better / cleaner water

This was helpful, thanks. I’ve noticed both these units and wondered about the differences, as they seem almost the same, except for the price. Thanks for the link.
If you are using City water in your filter they're putting chlorine and fluoride in your water then definitely go with Alexa Pure. Berkey you would have to buy an extra filter besides the black filters for fluoride I think the filters for fluoride on Berkey are white but you still have to use both filters. It's more complicated.
Burkey black filters will filter fluoride for a short period when new. I think it was about 1000 gallons. Whatever filters fluoride gets spent. So I wonder how many gallons the Alexapure will be good for fluoride?
I like the AlexaPure as well I have been using mine for about 4 years and use double filters so should have about 6 more years before I change out the filters. What I liked about the AlexaPure that caught my attention was that they used a third party to run the tests on their filters that verified the 99.9x percent filtration where as Berkey did not use a third party to do the testing. That said something to me right there in terms of standing behind your claims.
I see you mention that you distill your water and then add trace minerals to it. What is the difference between filtered water (Alexapure) and distilled water (using whatever you use for distilling water) ? They last longer so that would also have to be taken into account, good to know that it runs faster considering it's one filter in comparison to two, that's impressive. Also wondering are they both stainless steel Thanks
Thank you for the review. Thinking of upgrading my Travel Berkey to an Alexapure Pro. But I was wondering if you have any insights on a whole house water filteration system? I'm considering a Radiant Life Series 4.
I don't know a lot about that specific system. But a whole house water filtration system is great, if you can afford it. However, I think gravity filters make higher quality drinking water, than a whole house water filter. And I think the Alexapure gives you more flexibility, because during a possible disaster, you could take water from a river and have drinking water or maybe take it on a camping trip and have access to clean water. But both would probably be best, lol. Hope this helped ;)
@@UPRISING144K Thank you for your response. I agree with your analysis between a whole house filter vs a gravity filter and that both would be ideal. My secondary goal is to try reducing our family's exposure from chemicals while showering and bathing.
Hi, thanks for all the videos you've posted. I have a question about the alexapure filter. I've read that reverse osmosis wastes water....is that true with alexapure? Does it leave water in the top portion that you have to dump out or something?
I have had my Alexapure water system just shy of 1 (ONE) year and my filter has stopped working. According to the description, the filter should last approximately 5,000 gallons. I estimate that we use 2.5-3 gallons per day. 3 gal * 338 days = 1,014 gallons! Nowhere close to 5,000 gal. If the estimate for the longevity is so off base, I have to wonder how accurate the claims for the purity of the filtered water are. When I called customer service about my problem, I was told that the filter should last 6-8 months. WHAT?!? Extremely disappointed!!! And a new filter is NOT CHEAP!
Hi there I use a distiller h20 labs can you use distilled water in the Lourdes 2019 model? If so will it increase life span of the filters & is the end result of the distilled water going through the Lourdes a better quality. Thanks Adam
Is the code still good my friend , you still have code hold still or a different code they went up a lot and I want to get it now with everything that's going on in the world I could use any discount I can get my friend however you solidified my decision going with the pro
Yes but not the Berkey travel 1-1/2 gallon until you modify adding a extra hole or adding 2 rubber washers in mounting .I’m in the process doing this now . One advantage on Alexapure being shorter on smaller Berkey or any is there will be more filtering as water drops . Majority of water is filtering through the bottom parts of any candle filter leaving top used least ( another topic ) . Don’t forget to look up the pdf on Alexa pure contaminates that filters out .
It's neither distilled nor RO, it's a high quality filtered water, that allows minerals to be maintained in the water and removes almost all viruses and bacteria. It's pretty amazing for the price, hence the reason I had to share the info.
@@UPRISING144K does that means that is as clean as distilled water? Because distilled is always my drinking water option at any time. Did you hear the PPM of the water that this unit produce though? Thanks.
UPRISING 144K thanks for the informative information. For me to be able invest in the Lourdes Hydrofix successfully, I pray to be able to buy the 46 gallon of distilled machine one day. I just prefer the top purest and quality items most especially when is health related.
@@UPRISING144K I am sorry I wasn't clear with my question. You mentioned using clean water to pour into the hydrofix. You show the Alexapure for $169.00 but you can purchase the Water pitcher for $20.00 and filter your water before putting it into the hydrofix, right? I was just thinking right now $20 is alot cheaper than $169. I will purchase the Alexapure at a later date just wanted to use the $20 pitcher to have clean water to pur into the hydrofix.
I wouldn't rely on the $20 filter, as it's mostly designed for traveling, not a permanent water filtration system. It won't have the quality of water that the alexapure can produce. If you truly want to improve your health, you first need clean water and then hydrogen.
I've been using a distiller to drink water, but because I've just bought a Hydrofix (which hasn't landed on my doorstep just yet), and in the Hydrofix instructions it states "when using distilled or RO water in the Hydrofix it lowers the H levels by -0.1" .. I don't have the wording in front of me right now. I would have thought distilled would be most ideal because there are no contaminants hindering the machine, and I know you also use distilled in the Hydrofix. Because of what the Hydrofix manual says, I was thinking of something like the Berkey to produce water for the Hydrofix, but I like the Alexapure better too .. Would you use Alexapure water in the Hydrofix, and use the distilled for when drinking most of my plain water? .. I'm also considering the Aquanui for a larger distiller than I presently have, as I've been drinking distilled for years, and the Hydrofix needs a 3-hour break between runs (just a dose per day for everyone in the household), so it's not producing huge amounts for everyone .. thanks One more thing .. do you have a link somewhere to the particular citric acid cleaner recommended for the Hydrofix .. I've been reading the manual in advance of it arriving .. it's very, very particular about every aspect of its care, and doesn't mention where to get this, or what percentage of dilution with water to use .. can you help with this? I'll have to see if you have a video showing how you clean it without touching the electroplates, etc .. you have to be very careful with this machine, but so worth it. I almost thought of getting two of them because the capacity is not great, sounds slow, and there are three people in the house to cover .. but will start with just one. Thanks for your quick, to the point videos :)
I would use the distilled water in the Hydrofix. It makes a tiny little less hydrogen, but it's worth having the cleanest water and the amount of hydrogen difference is very very small. Yes there is a link for the citric acid in my video description area. Just watch my video titled how to do citric acid cleaning on hydrofix. Good luck. And if you have more detailed questions, you can email me if you like and we can chat, as it's easier than typing everything here. My email is uprising144k at gmail
@@UPRISING144K Thanks very much .. I can't wait for it to arrive .. I was almost considering buying two of them because you have to let them rest 3 hours after every 1.5 litres produced, if I'm getting that right. But then I wondered if there would be a 2020 or 2021 model coming out, so I'll road test the 2019 model first. Thanks for the invitation to email/chat .. much appreciated. I didn't notice a link of yours to Holy Hydrogen .. if you do and I missed it, sorry about that, or I could contact the company and mention I found out about Hydrofix through your videos.
@@UPRISING144K "Allow the membrane to fully soak in the water for three hours prior to hydrogen production" .. from p14 of the .pdf manual they sent in advance of Hydrofix arriving. This must just mean to wait 3 hours initially .. before the very first use? .. I haven't finished reading it ..

Very confusing. If someone needs to filter the same water 3x with the alexapure, how is that even an option? The filter life can't be a pre-determined set of years for everyone since everyone's water is different. This is my 3rd watch of a video about these filter systems, and I am worse off than prior to any LOL ... ugh, back to the research. Or maybe just a whole house filter to take care of any well water issues. Thank you.

They last longer so that would also have to be taken into account, good to know that it runs faster considering it's one filter in comparison to two, that's impressive.
Also wondering are they both stainless steel
Thanks
Alexapure is cheaper in every way. Filters and the cost of the unit. Check out the link www.waterwith144.com
@@UPRISING144K Thank you: )
Thank you for the review.
No the Alexapure does not waste much water, and yes reverse osmosis does waste water.

Thanks Adam
Yes and yes.
Alexa pure I love mine. Gets out pesticides which are all over thanks to Monsanto
Glad you like it, i like mine also
Egg cellent excellent video🎉🎉
Many many thanks
Is the code still good my friend , you still have code hold still or a different code they went up a lot and I want to get it now with everything that's going on in the world I could use any discount I can get my friend however you solidified my decision going with the pro
Try going here and see if it works for a discount www.waterwith144.com
Do you know if I can use the alexapure filters in my berkey dispenser?
I don’t know, but I assume so
Yes but not the Berkey travel 1-1/2 gallon until you modify adding a extra hole or adding 2 rubber washers in mounting .I’m in the process doing this now .
A little more play by play would help. For instance, price comparison, cost comparison... Size comparison...
I sincerely think they are both good, but you get more for your money with the alexapure. The both work on the same premise.
@@UPRISING144K alexapure had no glass spigot, though, right?
I don’t think either one has a glass spigot.
I found 2 sites for berkey but none for alexapure. Can you post that site please. Thanks

Is this link for the newer model ?
can I use Berkey filters in a alexapro???
I think so, but I’m not sure. I would contact the company with such a question
@@UPRISING144K okay thanks
Hi bro, what type of water do you get off this unit system? Is it distilled or RO they produce? Thanks.
Thanks.
No, it is not as clean as distilled water.
UPRISING 144K thanks for the informative information. For me to be able invest in the Lourdes Hydrofix successfully, I pray to be able to buy the 46 gallon of distilled machine one day. I just prefer the top purest and quality items most especially when is health related.
I understand and agree. But i rather have the hydrofix and a small distiller, rather than a large distiller only. Just my opinion.
Would it be ok to order the Alexapure water pitcher if your funds are a little low right now after ordering the hydrogen hydrofix?
I don't understand your question. You can order the water filter or the hydrofix whenever you feel you are ready.
@@UPRISING144K Thank you.
Oi brother. What about Europe? can you recommend any good filtration product? thanks
I’m not in Europe. But I assume they either have good gravity filters or a good distiller.
Is there a special code we use when we order through 144K?
You have to go to www.waterwith144.com
Would you use Alexapure water in the Hydrofix, and use the distilled for when drinking most of my plain water? .. I'm also considering the Aquanui for a larger distiller than I presently have, as I've been drinking distilled for years, and the Hydrofix needs a 3-hour break between runs (just a dose per day for everyone in the household), so it's not producing huge amounts for everyone .. thanks
One more thing .. do you have a link somewhere to the particular citric acid cleaner recommended for the Hydrofix ..
You do not have to let it rest for 3 hours. I think you might be misunderstanding something.
@@UPRISING144K Are the Japanese working on a 2020 model tho is a good question, but will it be worth paying more for i wonder, the one now should be more than enough shouldnt it ?
how many gallons per hour are you getting for alexapurepro?
I don't know how many gallons will go thru in 1 hours. But it will filter 1 gallon in minutes, not hours. It filters much faster than the berkey, the berkey is super slow and sometimes a little frustratingly slow LOL.
Correction:. EACH Berkey filter is good for 3,000 gallons. So two filters means 6,000 gallons, or am I wrong??
I don’t think so, I think both is for 3,000, but I would suggest contacting the company of you want complete clarification
@@UPRISING144K oh, just did... They say 2 filters = 6,000 gal's ... But now someone else is clarifying that it's 3,000 per element, and 500+ per filter 🤨... So... I'm gonna hafta take a raincheck until I can REALLY understand all the lingo here... Looks like NO CAN DO. PLUS -- I'm in California, and Berkey can't sell their product here...🙄. So I am at a loss for now...
I honestly prefer my distiller, it’s the only way to be 100% certain that the water is clean. I use my alexapure as a back up or for other random things.
@@UPRISING144K do you have video on the distiller?
There is no video. But I’ve talked about it, it’s very simple to make distilled water and I do have a specific distiller I recommend. And I do show how to mineralize distilled water in some of my videos.
Clean water is important, but make sure to check out my hydrogen videos, as it shows how to add the power of life to water. It's such a powerful tool and an amazing Japanese technology, that most people don't know about. It's truly amazing for health and there is a lot of science to back it up.
Here is a great link for getting a gravity filter for a very low cheap price. Simply type www.waterwith144.com
Link for the best water purification system in the world. Distillers is the only way to purify everything out of the water and you can add minerals afterwards. Best link is www.myaquanui.com Discount code is uprising144k
Oh, thanks so much!!
Thank you.
I think a water distiller from aquanui is the best choice in the end if you want the perfect water. And there on sale right now and with the additional discount code of uprising144k, it's quite cheap.
Sold out 😣
Sold out of what?
@@UPRISING144K hi, I clicked on your link for the Alexapure but it says sold out...so I just went on the main website and got it
I would honestly get a distiller instead. It cleans the water much better, but it depends on what you plan on using it for.
@@UPRISING144K I plan on collecting water… with the West being in a drought and the East flooding… I bought the 7 gallon aqua-tainers and idk how to treat them for long term storage. So I just assumed to get a Berkey but someone else said to get the Alexapure… I have a family of 10… I’m prepping alone 🤦🏽♀️
The price went up from $170 to $279.95 how is that possible? Oh wait , war in Ukraine. Right.
I wouldn’t get it anyways. I would use the carbon distiller, much cleaner and safer water, watch video 388 I think
