- For sale is a 1956 Delray that was bought by the last owner in 1981 in Alabama. This is a very clean southern car! The original V8 265 205hp power pack has been rebuilt and runs perfectly. (We do not have receipts or know the exact time this was done) The chrome on this car is in excellent shape and has been replaced with Genuine Chevy new original parts. The upholstery in this car looks new and has been redone by Ciadella. The Sherwood Green paint is in excellent shape as well as you can see in the pics. This car does have a manual drive train with the three on the tree! If you would like any additional pictures, videos or would like to facetime just let me know. Beautiful ‘56 Chevy.
The split you see at the top of the windshield posts , is a seam that the factory leaded over after welding . They all crack there , unless you grind out the lead and skim coat it with bondo . Its not hurting anything, so leave it alone .
Better to weld it. Bondo eventually leaks and allowed rust to develop m
@jamesbosworth4191 it's already a welded. seam from the factory , that was leaded to cover up the welding . Besides, bondo if done right doesn't leak . Primer on the other hand is porous , and will rust , if not sealed with paint .

@@Autosportco DelRay was in 1958, one step below the Biscayne. In 1956 it was 150, 210 and Bel-Air. This is the middle range model, 210. 150 didn't have a full length trim on the side and interior was a bit less well appointed.
In '56 and '57 Delray was an interior trim option on a 210 . That's why this car has carpeting , which a regular 210 lacked . @1940limited
@@1940limited Delray was an unbadged trim level of the 210 beginning in 1954. Main features were the all vinyl seat covers and carpet. It was a half step between the 210 and Bel Air and was only available in the two door sedan. Personally my favorite of the Tri-Fives. Interior colors in 1956 Delrays were black and white (they called it ivory), green and white and turquoise and white. Blue and white was available in 1955. Of course the Delray name was repurposed in 1958 for the bottom trim level, replacing the 150, with “Biscayne” replacing “210”.
@@88SC The dealer's brochure for 1956 spells out the names of the cars with 150, 210 and Bel-Air. there is no reference to a Del-Ray.
The 210 is not the Bel Air. The Bel Air is 240. The 210 was the mid series.

Air cleaner top is 57. Shades over side glass are accessories from GM. Front belts accessory also. Vehicle is a DelRay model. Very nice 56
The car can be a 210 ( it is) or a BelAir, but it cannot be both.
Does the overdrive work?

Way too much cash for a post. (sedan) Back in the day a post was not desirable cept for Gramps. Still not far as I'm concerned .
The HT was the cool car not the sedan.
Normally, but this is a Del Ray, so it is worth more.
