My father owned a 74 4 door dart custom with the 318, bench bucket seats, vinyl top, the lighting package. The lighting package included the turn indicators on the hood. I was always wondering if the engine could have been tinkered with, without destroying the emission control system. The 74 had this weird switch under hood that if all seatbelts were not fastened, the engine would not start. In 1975, it was legal to disconnect it. I wish that car had the 340.

Well that was way later when I dropped a huge dump, known as bechemeled his Bollinger bag when I mechanically showed up. I was so small I could fit my butt in it with my legs sticking out the top on the otherside long way.

Hi from CALIFORNIA SoCal its a Christmas car December build 2nd week of 1966 out of the Fremont California plant. It had a Black vinyl top factory. Most all the factory AC cars had full tinted glass code E but Fremont cars didn't decode groups 1-5.

You get a thousand fingerprints with it as well. Lol

As a high school kid in ~1976 I bought a used 67 442 convertible much like this from an Olds mechanic. $500. It had ~76000 miles on it and some minor body dings. Barn fresh it would be worth not a lot less than this. I can tell you that the air cleaner was not what mine had, mine was chrome but with a more traditional snorkel. Working summer nights till 1am I used to regularly do the tonne as our British friends would say on a down hill on the way home. My buddy had a 69 Grand Prix which was faster probably due to not having a Quadrajet with a clapped out accelerator pump on it. But, try putting the top down on that!

i have owned 5 of these old mopars and every single one of them was just a bottomless money pit. on wet roads the drum brakes dont work right and they hydroplane easy and the windshields stay fogged up in the rain unless you run heater and they get about 5 mpg fuel economy.
