Those are standard issue assist straps that all post cars have to aid the rear seat passengers when they are exiting the car. Even vintage VW Beetle have those straps.
CONGRATS GUYS. I had a '56 Sedan delivery back in 1966. Had to sell it when I got married in '73 to the wicked witch of the east. Im now 75 and wanting to get another one before I die. Enjoy your journey.Good Luck,I'll be watching. Mike P. Piscataway,NJ
“Settle for a hardtop”…. That’s an interesting statement 😂 Hardtops have always been higher up the food chain if you will… as the blue book values show. It has always been this way. Back in high school when everybody had a tri five Chevy, a person that couldn’t find a hardtop sometimes would have to “settle” for a post or sedan car… certainly not the other way around- Good luck! Much better car than the last rust bucket-
@@torekristoffersen176 Not sure if you watched the full video, They work hard and if she wants a post car she wants a post car. It's not like they're that rare at all. Who gives a shit about blue book value if your keeping the car
Driveshaft loop should be within 6" of the front u joint . That's the NHRA spec, you can also put one in the back, but it's not required . Keep up the good work 👏
Now that’s a nice car! I like the white, the patina, the LS, the interior, everything! The ‘56 is my least favorite of the tri-fives but I really really like that one! You’d be silly to take out the back up camera it looks fine. You’re pointing out non existent flaws.
What a great find liv, that's a great looking 56 , and when Danny said you look good in , he was right, but you would look good in anything. Danny great work on the charger, really looks great ❤❤❤
I love the 2 tone Chevrolet’s no rust. Looks solid. Thanks for sharing spending time showing us. Keep it as original as possible. We will see where it goes. 💯💕👊👍
Super nice solid find Ms.Olivia! I’m very happy for you as well! I’m a 64 year old feller that loves Chevys and other classics and muscle cars as well! I’d address the paint first after getting her running. I’m all old school and some nice 15 or 16 inch Keystone Classics or the old S/S Cragar spoked chrome mags. Then some black wall tires or the all popular BF Goodrich Radial T/As. Very nice mild project car for sure! Hey those are only my ideas I’m sending out your way! Everyone has a different taste! 😎😊🔥👍🇺🇸
Congratulations 🎉. The 56 is my favorite of the tri-fives. I am so happy for you and can't wait to see it finished. Olivia, you looked so bummed on your last video. Now that beautiful smile 😍 is back.
Loving it !! Didn't expect you to move so fast, and real happy for you. Yes, I have the model in the yellow/green. And also the white over the blue, and a special one my daughter re-painted for me in the pink/green/mauve of the car in the cult movie, "Mon Oncle". Cheers, from big '56 Chev fan in New Zealand.
Wow that's a beautiful '56 Chevy. My father has one years ago. It was two tone gray. And it was. Automatic I think it has gray interior too.i was a little kus then so I vaguely remember it .I love those 56. Chevy's. Very classy. .glad you got your deam car. .cant wait to see. The transformation. . peace .
Hi guys. Charger loo,ing good. Congratulations Oliva on your purchase of the 56. I had 2 56 chevys years old, one was 2 door hardtop and one convertible. 56 Chevys are my favorite out of the tri 5s. Happy for you . I know you will enjoy driving it.
Wow! What a beauty! I picked up a 68 Chrysler 300 over the Christmas holidays. It’s a little rough. But it’s complete. Fun driver that you hardly ever see.
wow congratulations on your find, can't wait to see what you do with it.. I just went to Louisiana and bought a 57 Belair... it's being shipped to cal and should arrive today.. also a LS car!
Congratulations on your new purchase. I totally get what you’re saying. I restore cars and totally get it. The other car was a massive restoration. This is a smart move. I always tell people to buy the best car you can afford. You’ll save time and money in the long run.😊
Nice car, I like it, as is 😊 I remember the lil coat hangers and those straps (although not as nice) from my Dad's old '54 Chevy. The original color, although ugly, must've been rare, as I don't remember seeing that.
In So Cal 1976 one of the coolest cars in my high school was a 56 Bel Air 265 power glide my friend got from his gramma. He and his dad swapped in a tri power 389 4spd out of his dads wrecked GTO. It was one of the first quick cars I rode in very cool memories!
A new white paint job and an all white interior for you ‘56 would rock your world. There is so much potential with this. Have fun and treat it right. A big block 454 or 502 would cure your LS distain.
Love the new car Liv, it's in such better shape than the old one. The only thing I didn't like was the colour, all white not good and the factory colour was ugly, I like blue and white or red and white. You are going to have so much fun fixing this car up, I am so jealous. You most defiantly made the right decision changing and upgrading, don't let anybody give you any $hit about changing cars, like I said on last video your money, your choice, do what makes you happy, ignore the haters. ❤❤❤
Hi, check your rear deck lid for being warped, especially on the driver side from the rear end impact. I could see a big gap there in the video you wanna keep the rain out of that. looks like a nice car 👍 Take care.
Nice 56 ! I Dig it !!! Original color Laurel Green from the photo you posted. I like green cars. Your steering wheel is definitely from a 57. Slap on some steelies or vintage old Skool mags.
Olivia, I just happened to find your channel yesterday. which is 7/28/24. I'm delighted you discovered Your almost dream car. Can't wait to see how it looks when you get it the way you like it. I was watching the episode of the first one you bought with the rotted trunk. And I actually felt sorry for you 'because I can understand all the work ahead. You are a great couple and fun to watch. I watch a few others similar to this like Vice Grip Garage, which is pretty cool too. I subscribed and added you to my favorites. And I'm looking forward to other episodes. Steve P.
Hey Olivia Congrats on the 56 it looks like a nice project you and Dan can build upon to your liking and cruise down to Neptune’s Net, enjoy. I have one myself and enjoy it very much. Steve 😊
Hello. First that's a nice chevy. Reminds me of my childhood. Our family car actually back in the days. Papa loves that car. Same car I learned how to drive to (and it's a manual transmission) never knew there were automatic as well. Same white color. Anyways, now I have my own..it's not a '56 (which I really wanted) it's a '57 belair 4 Dr HT sport sedan. I noticed your steering is from a '57 belair like mine. And yes, that post strap is oem. Happy motoring enjoy that car. Beautiful 😍
Olivia, this was definitely the best decision made. Yes the 2 door had the grab straps (inside B Pillar) to help get in & out of the back seat. I like the forward/reverse cameras on the car, will be very handy and not noticeable. Also glad this one didn't smell yucky inside. ❤
Nice car I have a 56 Belair two door post it is black and maroon a original v8 automatic I have just a 305 with a 350 turbo trans I drive it every whare and get 20mpg I've won a couple of trophies with it Keep up the good work You have a nice car enjoy
Now that's a great looking 56, like I said that car was out there for you. And it appears that you didn't let your eyes deceive your heart. The part I loved about this show was when you said you looked at it and it looked back at you. So that tells me that, that's the car for you. I can't wait to see the colors you plan to use. 56 BelAirs are the best, IMHO. Wish I still had my (yes one more of those guys) 56 BelAir 2 door hardtop, 265 with the powerpack option, pretty red and white paint. 😍
Wow liv. lm stoked too👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😎 No straps on the post. They are not stock. That's foreign design. Danny got it right for back seat passengers to get out 👍🏻😎 . That color l think was a called golden harvest ??🤔

Thanks for your continued support, Mike! Glad you like the car too!

Way better than the rust bucket you have had.
Cool car that belonged to my father years back
I LOVE it! She is beautiful, That is gonna be so cool when you get to take it to shows and cruises. Happy for you Liv!❤️
Thank you Justin! I'm so excited to get it running
The steering wheel is a 57, and the gauge cluster will have the gear indicator just below the speedo if it was an automatic car. Cool car!
Damn that is a nice car! Way better then your old car, love the color, the patina and the wheels. Happy wrenching.
