John Farnham aka The Voice aka Farnsey, is the greatest vocalist and performer ever. He is the best know, most popular artist in Australia. We Aussies absolutely adore him. There is nothing else that equals being in the audience of one of John's concerts. He loves humanity, and he adores his fans, and it shows. His only aim when he gets on that stage is to give his audiences the concerts of their lives. He is pitch perfect, never fails to hit those high notes. He is humble, funny, and always gives 110% of himself. Please would you react to 'When The War Is Over' from the Whispering Jack concert. I can guarantee that you'll be blown away by it.
There's very few artists in the world that can make music like that. And John managed to do it for 6 decades. John is a legend for all the right reasons. Just a shame that the rest of the world is only just discovering him 20-30 after his prime. But don't get me wrong, Farnsey in his 70's could still outsing many a younger vocalist and could still sing all of his songs in the exact same key as he did as a younger man ,
That's how you take an old Beatles song and make it your own. Farnsey entertained Australia for over fifty years with talent, humility and good humour. His live performances were always top notch.
No word to describe Farnsey's performance? Epic, absolutely epic. And you'll learn from comments that John Farnham is a really good guy - humble, down to earth, loves his fans, committed family man, gives his all to charity concerts to raise money when needed. And he has the most astonishing voice, and can sing any genre. I watch his YT videos every day. Oct'24. UK. E❤
John Farnham; The Voice one of Australia's best and most loved singers. John Lennon remarked when he heard Farnham do Help, he was thrilled and very pleased with the tone and style - he said it was sung how he originally imagined the song - asking pleading for help. - Brilliant
How can this be the second encore and It's a Long Way to the Top be the 4th (due to the last encore) when that encore with Sadie and It's a Long Way to the Top was played after the encore after Help? The DVD has him going off the side of the stage after Help with the audience (and orchestra) chanting 'Sadie' with him then coming back on stage to sing those 2 songs. There was no '3rd' encore.
@@ChrisFirth-do2sm correct. Third and last as the Sadie and It's a Long Way to the Top double was the last encore. So there were only 2 songs left after help.
Welcome to the world of our phenomenal Aussie Legend, John Farnham! John is the GOAT! ..Now you have more than 4 decades of John's Hit songs and awesome live Concert Performances to catch up on. Enjoy. xo
I'm so glad you enjoyed it so much. I never get sick of hearing john farnham sing. He is fantastic in every way. Thanks for reacting to my all time favourite singer.❤
Our wonderful John is adored here in Oz. 💕🇦🇺 We love that the rest of the world is getting to know John but always wonder why he didn’t make it huge in the USA.
You need to understand this artist. He went from rags to riches and back again in a very short time. At one point, he couldn't take one of his kids to McDonald's on their birthday, he was so poor. This man deserved every success. A phenominal voice that took years for people to HEAR.
Yes, & then his mate Glenn took a huge chance with John, Whispering Jack was born, & the rest is history. I was 7 when Sadie came out, & have always loved his voice & obvious kind heart.
John Farnham is a consummate performer and sooo charismatic. His vocal range and gymnastic singing ability is wonderful. Everything he sings is perfect ! Aren't you lucky there are such videos on You Tube ! There is so much more of John's and other Aussie musical talent for you to explore and we Aussies are waiting for you to do that. Enjoy !
It's always a thrill to see someone come fresh to John. I love how much you appreciate this great performance. That he didn't get tired is even more amazing when you know that this was an encore at the end of a long high-energy show. Try his cover of AC/DC's "long way to the top" from the same show, another encore.
This is John’s remake version of the Beatles classic help. John is the greatest and most versatile male vocalist of all time. John has been performing for over 50 years so there’s so much of John’s stuff out there including his time in the “little river band” in the early 80’s. John has a seemingly endless vocal range and those gorgeous high belts, great breath control, mic control, versatility in most genres, including opera, incredible stage presence, an awesome performer and all round great man. John is so happy on stage with so much energy, he’s just there for the music, his fellow musicians, his fans and the love. When you do reactions to John always do the live versions where available, he’s such a showman and even includes some of his trademark tricks with the mic and mic stand. The another encore he did in this concert was “a long way to the top if you want to rock and roll”(AC/DC classic) which I think was even better than the original. Have fun going down the John Farnham rabbit hole.
If you start reacting to our living Legend. We come from everywhere. I love watching your faces when you see him and he is so loved. The Beatles wrote and recorded Help but John fixed it. Don’t pronounce the h in Farnham and Melbourne is said Melben. The Symphony Orchestra love John and his own band was on stage too. I am so grateful to have had more than 5 decades of his music in my life. Richard Marx named him the best voice alive anywhere today and Celine Dion says she is his number one fan. John deserves to be heard and this song was after two solid hours of singing and an encore. Thank you for your reaction.
Most concerts were advertised as John Farnham and Band, or his band, or the JF band, this one was John and his Big Band in typical Aussie understatement, it's a 100+ piece orchestra for crying out loud. lol This song is one of the last songs that he would sing at the end of the night after he had already sung his heart out for nearly 3 hours. Some have pointed out that this particular recording of the concert was closer to 2 hours of actual singing during the TV special, but it was also on the 4th or 5th night that he had sung like this. Either way, it was one of multiple nights that he did this on January 4-10, 1989, so his voice is still worthy of the accolades. Not many other singers can belt like that for even 2 or 3 nights without a rest. And besides picking at the exact details or this exact performance, Farnsey also has a way of getting deep into the emotions of your soul. A couple of songs worth checking have been mentioned below, plus these are worth a look also. The reason you haven't heard of him is because the US music industry is a closed little club. When John Farnham went to the US they didn't know which genre to put him in so his US promotions manager got him a couple of gigs in a little jazz club, where the MC introduced him as Jack Phantom. Couldn't even be bothered getting his name correct, so being a bit disheartened he wandered home to concentrate on his loyal fan base. The experience did give him inspiration to write a couple of good songs about missing his family, like this one. -Burn For You.. th-cam.com/video/4PPvOhPspEA/w-d-xo.html -Angels.. Notice how he holds the mike below his chest, both mikes are a metre away, which he does all the time to not drown out the other singers. JF with Lisa Edwards, a top singer in her own right, and one of John's back up singers for 20+ years. th-cam.com/video/5_2NJRIdBO8/w-d-xo.html -Amazing Grace.. This is Vanetta Fields and Lindsey Field. th-cam.com/video/_x6N94OEkZQ/w-d-xo.html -Please Don't Ask Me.. This one with Olivia Newton John, who we have recently lost. John has also had major cancer surgery including removal of part of his jaw and we may not hear him sing again. So let's enjoy this one as well.. Edit- JF has announced he is free of cancer, but has not mentioned anything about singing again. th-cam.com/video/2uV_tZODfK8/w-d-xo.html -When Something Is Wrong With My Baby.... And even when he is singing with one of the most powerful voices on the planet, Jimmy Barnes, he still put the mike away from his face and closer to Jonny Diesel on guitar. th-cam.com/video/AU_bCchDWF4/w-d-xo.html Or this version, both are great, but slightly different.. th-cam.com/video/RAlFHSPLHpo/w-d-xo.html -When The War Is Over… Possibly one of his greatest vocals. th-cam.com/video/lfWrXc5eN8g/w-d-xo.html -Or is the greatest. Gethsemane.. th-cam.com/video/k5woMZtClhI/w-d-xo.html -How about a mike test. He has the power and ability to distort microphones, blow up amps, and get speaker stacks jumping. So this sort of setting up the venue test is a must. Lol Black Dog. th-cam.com/video/F2Yi6TVi-sU/w-d-xo.html Besides having the best voice ever, JF can adjust his tone, pitch, volume, to match the person he is singing with to either match them or sing just under them depending on who's the head line act, he will even back himself down when he is the head line to give others their moment to shine, and if my ears were sensitive enough, I wouldn't be surprised if he could vary his vibrato, timbre and all of those other things that voices can do so he could accentuate the other singers.
So many great ones from this same concert with the MSO, including AC/DCs a Long Way To The Top, You're The Voice, Playing To Win, all magnificent with the orchestra

Oh man, Long way to the Too or Your the Voice from the same concert, or Amazing Grace or When the War is Over. Mate, welcome to the joy that is our Voice, John Farnham. P.S - Black Dog cover as a WARM UP recording is also gold 🎉
And that’s how we have done music for as long as I can remember. You see everybody thinks, Australia is this little speck that is down at the bottom of the globe, that looks like we are going drop off the edge at any second. Of course we are not but the 1 thing we do extremely well is our music, John is the Voice but you might want to check out Jimmy Barnes as well . These 2 guys are rock royalty and 1 of their duets is, When Something is Wrong With My Baby. I also appreciate you only pausing once, I know you’ve got to do it for Copyright but a lot of reactors are stopping every 10 seconds to give their opinion, it drives me crazy so please keep doing it the way you do.🇦🇺😘
the voice, when only the best will do, also the H in farnham is silent it is pronounced Farnam. There is much much more for you to take in, look for anything that is LIVE you will be blown away.
Have subbed for our Farnsey❤. Every song from Our John is a Banger. You've just opened the lid to a huge rabbit hole. And this was before autotune and all the other crap they use to enhance vocals these days
If you enjoyed that song you should check out another song full of soul. Jimmy Barnes and John Farnham’s “when something is wrong with my baby” live on hey hey it’s Saturday. You will enjoy. Cheers mate.
Keep going with Farnsey reactions & Aussies will flock to u like seagulls when u have hot chips at Bondi lol. Here's another Aussie artist that is blowing reactors away. Look up Kasey Chambers singing her cover of Eminem's Lose Yourself. U won't regret going down the Aussie rabbit hole. Our 'don't give a crap' attitude has produced some of the greatest gifts in music. Have fun!!
There are only a few artists that sound better live than they do in a studio setting. Far sir is certainly one of them. Another is a beautiful young Filipina woman called Morissette Amon. Like John she can sing any genre. Her vocal range is approaching 6 Octaves snd her control is out of this world. If you react to her you will have thousands of her fans subscribing to your channel. She is widely considered to be the best female vocalist on the planet right now.
John was the bomb! Adam Lamberts version of Chers Believe is goosebumpy good highly recommend that if you have not heard it. Guy Sebastian especially is early stuff is equally as good as John. You need to do some ACDC. Long Way to the Top. Subscribed.
One of the best singers ever! Not sure if you realised, this is a Beatles' cover, but John made it so much his own rhat it is barely recognisable from the original.
When you have explored a little more of John's catalogue might I suggest his duet with Jimmy Barnes on 'When Something is Wrong with My Baby', an amazing blues track, and then you can explore the wonder that is Cold Chisel, the band that Jimmy Barnes was the front man for...
You need to listen to Farnsey and Jimmy Barnes do "Something is wrong with my baby". Listen to the official track first. It will blow you absolutely away! These guys are some great legends of music- some great Aussie Legends! Enjoy!
A list of requests. 1 down, what next Help (Melbourne sympathy orchestra) You're the voice (Melbourne sympathy orchestra) You're the voice (fire fight concert) It's a long way to the top Grenada (with Anthony Warlow) Please don't ask me (with Olivia Newton-John)
Look up he version of AC /DC cover he does of long way to the top with the Melbourne symphony orchestra as well Also you'll only get a recording of led zeppelin black dog its his warm up song and thankfully sound guy recorded it otherwise we'd never know or heard it just sound guy was blown away and decided to record the warm up Plentry more from him 5 decade's
@LilmannReacts , he is like a chameleon. John changes styles to suit the song and nails it everytime. You should hear him doing a warm up/ sound check singing Black Dog, or the live cover of ACDC's long way to the top.
Not sure if you realised this was a rearrangement of The Beatles version. John Lennon loved it and said this was how the song should have been sung. Additionally, Farnsy and Celine Dion are close friends, and she says he is her idol. Also, just to help you with the pronunciation, it’s Farn-am, and Mel-bn. For Melbourne we drop the vowel from the second syllable, same with Brisbane (Bris-bn)
By the way the h is actually silent in his last name I got this whole concert on TH-cam free and you've got your voice it's a long way to the top if you want to rock and roll by ACDC that song you actually have to listen to same concert same orchestra❤❤❤❤❤from Australia 🇦🇺

When you have explored a little more of John's catalogue might I suggest his duet with Jimmy Barnes on 'When Something is Wrong with My Baby', an amazing blues track, and then you can explore the wonder that is Cold Chisel, the band that Jimmy Barnes was the front man for...
America is insulated from so much
You need to listen to Farnsey and Jimmy Barnes do "Something is wrong with my baby". Listen to the official track first. It will blow you absolutely away! These guys are some great legends of music- some great Aussie Legends! Enjoy!
A list of requests. 1 down, what next

Look up he version of AC /DC cover he does of long way to the top with the Melbourne symphony orchestra as well
Also you'll only get a recording of led zeppelin black dog its his warm up song and thankfully sound guy recorded it otherwise we'd never know or heard it just sound guy was blown away and decided to record the warm up
Plentry more from him 5 decade's
Do watch Kasey Chambers' cover of Lose Yourself. It is a phenomenal and an unexpected interpretation of Eminem's song.
And this was the last song of a two and a half hour concert!
It wasn’t the last, and it wasn’t two and a half hours
@jeffwilson7100 correct. It's a Long Way to the Top was the last and it was closer to 2 hours of singing.
Can you react to INXS "What You Need" live at Wembley Stadium 1991😁 They are awesome too.
Brilliant ❤
Check out jimmy barnes and john Farnham ‘When something is wrong with my baby’

I see in your back-catalogue, you've listened to Eminem.
Have you seen Kasey Chambers' cover of Lose Yourself?
Do yourself a favour.
