Cyberpunk Edgerunners coming out was a great opportunity to revisit this song and make a new video for the Level 10 album remaster, which has a little more cyber-sheen across the top and a bigger, fuller bass range. I was surprised how well some of the lyrics fit! Enjoy

It's a song made about the themes of transhumanism. That makes it pretty fitting for the genre in general.

Absolutely love how it keeps the motif of "Running out on the Edge" from the other Cyberpunk Song you made, it makes it more cohesive
Makes me think of Shadowrun 5e - edge being the "luck stat" and metacurrency for re-rolling stuff like damage soak of armor or attack dodges or attacking or anything like that (or, if you add edge before the re-roll, you instead add your edge's rating in dice and 6s on dice "explode" adding more dice to the pool)
It's also a stat which you can "burn" to avoid player character death - character permanently loses 1 rank of edge (but can later buy it with exp again - will just be quite expensive). Character also, instead of dying, gets some other consequence like losing a limb (which is bad for awakened characters)
While I would have liked to see an original song for Edgerunners, you did pick one of my favorite ones and the editing is amazing.
I do love this song.

I've been running a cyberpunk D&D game with my friends and your music, especially this track, has been more often than not what I've been listening to while planning everything out. Such a banger, so glad to hear it remastered. 💜
hope you use the actual ttrpg, and not something you cobbled together yourself
@@charlescourtwright2229 I don't really know how to respond to that, considering I just said it was "cyberpunk D&D" (no capitalisation; ie: the genre and not the Cyberpunk TTRPG). A degree of "cobbling" would seem to be implied for me given that there aren't exactly a whole lot of cyberpunk 5E books. Though, if you want specifics, I basically took the world of Eberron, threw it a few hundred years into the future, and plotted out a three-shot adventure to hit various megacorp strongholds. Is it some kind of big professional thing I'd ever try to publish as a real setting? No, but I wasn't really trying to make it so. It was only a three-shot and I just wanted to give my friends a different world to explore than the usual "Forgotten Realms with the serial numbers filed off".
Don't get me wrong, though; I'd love to play the real Cyberpunk TTRPG with folks sometime. That's just not what happened in this specific instance.
Cyberpunk RED is a really good TTRPG to try out with your friends imo.
The world has been in development since the 80's and it's set in Night City, year 2045! Really worth checking out.

There is just a reputation of dnd players trying to overhaul dnd5e into stuff already done better by other systems (not a hard achievement, considering just how broken 5e is).
What matters is if your group and you enjoyed it or nah.
If you want to look into dedicated cyberpunk stuff, Cyberpunk RED is good. For cyberpunk fantasy, the first choice is shadowrun. It's... a system. It makes 5e looks like pf2e in comparison. It is fun, but it. is. just. so. BROKEN! Like, every edition of shadowrun is a mess one choice away from turning over and burning (a bit exaggeerating here). It makes me sad, cause like "why didn't they balance this?!".
Setting is great and crunch is nice though. I heard about using cyberpunk red + witcher rpg for a crunchy rpg.
If you try shadowrun rpg, shadowrun fifth edition's main flaw is layout. It is very broken, but if you stick to core rules - not as much. Might need to do stuff like "if the spell is sustained, you can't ignore spellcasting limits with edge" and "maximum initiation grade for awakened player characters is 4th"

Once again, Gav proves that his music is truly timeless! A song that was originally written for a game manages to fit perfectly with the anime spin-off that came out years later.

And considering how the season ends, it makes sense.
I’m willing to accept it as a miniseries but I was talking more different characters each season in the cyberpunk 2077 universe.

Edgerunners did Adam Smasher so well. I mean him just no selling Lucy's attempts to quick hack him with contemptuous ease and outmatching David with his Sandy, they MADE him into the monster he is supposed to be from the TTRPG.
