Hi guys thanks for the shout out. Stairs are fun. Alternate plans can work out. We didn’t get away but have ridden around our area some. Storms keep getting in the way and now family obligations ( granddaughter’s wedding, which was terrific) and I will be active in the Kairos Prison Ministry program the first two weekend in November. We are planning a get away to NYCity for a Christmas tour and Broadway Show and Radio City Rockets in early December soon after the Tree lighting. Might try a run up to Dahlonaga Ga area to catch some color if there is any left after the Kairos event. Stay safe John, that Miriam.likes tough hikes. Hope to see you guys before your Alaska Adventure. Will stay in touchb. Miss you two!
NY sounds awesome! Have never seen the rockettes. Had forgotten about your involvement in the prison ministry, Ray. So wonderful. Glad your granddaughters wedding was nice.
Miriam- Linda and I didn’t get first right of refusal on hike with stairs 🤣🤣 So glad you guys did get away for a few days. Missed all being together in Maggie Valley. Wish everyone the best!
Nice plan C trip. Our plan B trip worked out great. Good weather and some nice rides to see what changes happened since the last time we were there. Right now we are in Kane, PA, visiting friends and seeing the sites. Take care.
Love this video... Miriam was just not feeling it yet! People need to take a lesson from your little adventure. The lesson is to roll with what happens. I worked for someone who had a saying. "Make a decision, pick a direction and go. If it turns out not to be the right direction or decision then make another plan but always keep moving forward. Sitting around and quitting gets you no where." I can't wait to Spyder in that area of our beautiful country.
The fire truck reminded me of a time while at a Super 8 one year of being aroused by an alarm at midnight. The motel's dryer alarm sensor was activated and 2 trucks were dispatched. Got great night 📸. The alarm was the same as ones during my factory training days. Orderly and quick exiting of the building was properly achieved. No fire, just a sensor. Plan B, get back to sleep. Lol. 👍👍
John and Miriam this was a excellent video. I really enjoyed it . Yes some plans fall through even the best plans. Mother nature can hit at any time and really mess up plans. Yet this trip was very interesting. We often go the the Smoky Mountains There going down the mountain to NC there is a field were many Elk roam. It is interesting watching them for sure. It was good that you didn't take the Spyder. Safe travels!
Some random thoughts: First off, Pray for the people and communities in the Smoky Mountain region. Their alphabet is probably running short. Secondly, An unanticipated change in an itinerary can sometimes bring an unexpected reward. Once while traveling we stayed a night in Pontiac, Illinois with the intention of moving on to Springfield the following morning. We had noticed some roadside signs for a local history and war museum in town. We decided to go to the museum the following morning and it was wonderful. Also, it turns out this town is somewhat known for large painted murals on buildings throughout the town. A unplanned happy, memorable day. Thirdly, Off interstate travel I’m sure is a favorite of most of the people on this channel. Darn that ticking time clock. Lastly, John. Since Miriam has you “hiking” throughout the Appalachian Mountains, perhaps you could take her for a “stroll” through some distilleries in bourbon country. Oh yeah. BTW. We watched “Long Way Round” over two nights. Thanks. We really enjoyed it.
That you for your response back my wife and I are in are 50s and seen you're videos and bought are spyder on count of you guys keep putting on videos and we will keep watching thank you very much
Miriam, thank you for showing me the stairs! Your video was so precious. Linda Johnson

I also abandoned my Maggie Valley trip. Went to the Ozarks in Missouri last week instead. Enjoy the fall wherever you go.
I bet you had a fantastic time!
Never a dull moment 😂😂

All those poor folks 😢 after the flood. 🙏🙏🙏
Both my plans A & B to meet you two were washed out. So, I will need to work on plans C or D and there's still many letters left in the alphabet 😂👍
It will happen…and it will be great when it does! ❤
All your sides are good, Miriam! 💜🤗

😂 Here’s to happy trails without elevation gains!
Pssst... hey John, when your better half asks if you're getting her good side, the only correct answer is.. "of course, you don't have a bad side" 😁👍
Wise man!😂

Hey hubby, you watched it before me? Lol
@miriambryant1896 thanks for sharing your latest adventure.
Avoiding cornbread when it’s served sounds easier than it looks.
It was so decadent…tasted like my grandmother made it!
