This sounds like a great trip! We also want to visit Vancouver one day and we have friends that live in a village along the Bering sea but the only way to get there is to fly in, no roads up that far. Hopefully one day!
BTW, Happy Veterans Day, John! That was a great pic of you when you were in Fairbanks! Could not get over how big Eielsen AFB is ... We rode by it several times on our trip. It stretches out a long way!
Very good for you and best wishes!! For us 2025 will be North Western USA Parks! Glacier, Grand Teton, Yellowstone, Theodore Roosevelt, Wind Cave and Badlands!👍🇨🇦 stay safe and keep us posted
Happy Veteran Day John, I was stationed in Anchorage, AK in ‘97 FT Richardson. I always wanted to drive back to AK. Safe travels, can’t wait to see the videos.
Did not know about the 11 year cycle and the sun with the northern lights... So awesome you'll get to see them! We couldn't hang around Alaska long enough so we just missed them...
Your finance guy should be nominated for an Acadamy Award for his dramatic talents. That thumbs-up took every last drop of his inner strength to accomplish his approval 🏆🎉👍
My Dad and his Army aviation engineer battalion built Eilson AFB as well as McCoy AFB (now Orlando International) in 1950/51. Enjoy your trip made all the more enjoyable and safe through thorough planning.
We must have lucked out with the seasons as far as rain... We were there in July and August... Mostly warm and dry... Usually cooler and rainier along the coast. I was surprised how warm it was actually in the interior. 🤷♀️
My wife and I had planned a trip around Australia this year via our motorcycle (BMW K1600GTL) but we realized that at our age (70) and the amount of gear that we needed for 3-4 months was too much for us to take on a bike. So we rented a wreck ( a 2004 Ford Station wagon). We covered over 16,000 miles. A great trip. You will have a great trip. Planning is essential for a great trip. Be safe.
Awesome! My daughter and her family live in Alaska. I can't wait to watch you on your trip. My son in law has been in the Airforce since 2005. They started out in Alaska, moved to AZ for a few years and then back to Alaska. They love it! If I remember correctly that can be a bumpy road. She was expecting her first child when they moved to AZ.
Can't wait for the trip video. Should be a winner. My trips will be smaller this year as I'm looking at replacing ( way overdue) furnace & water heater. ➕️ all the bikes are needing their servicing. 😱🤢$$. After seeing your service picture, I was wondering if you lost the stach and darkened darkened the roof, would the results be comparable?? Lol. 👍👍
I hope you enjoy the trip "North to Alaska". I have ridden my motorcycles from my home in central Illinois to AK 4 times, it is an adventure. My last trip was up to the Artic Circle in 2011. There is so much to see along the way. My wife, who has ridden her motorcycle to AK twice would tell the West Edmonton Mall in a must see. It is the only mall I know of that you can take a submarine ride. Vancouver is nice but hopefully you get the chance to go over to Vancouver Island and visit Butchart Gardens. So many places so little time. Enjoy your trip!
Two good reasons for not taking Spyder to Alaska. Coming apon a grizzly bear or moose on the road. Saw bicycles and grizzly bears on same section of road.
That sounds like a awesome trip good for for you guys enjoy
Wow what an adventure. So glad you can make it happen. Can’t wait to see how it works out. God Bless you guys.
Sounds like you all are going to have an epic adventure... take lots of bug spray❤
Sounds like an awesome trip!! I think your finance guy is saying “Drill Baby, Drill”.

I can totally relate to your finance guy.
☹️No Spyder☹️ but looking forward to your videos. I did not know about the sun's cycle. Kind of interesting what gets learned by watching your videos.
Enjoy your long vacation, can’t wait for the videos!
