- Join us as we head to Joyland Children's Fun Park located on the sea front in Great Yarmouth! In this vlog we share on ride POV's from all of the major rides at the park, including the awesome Super Snails and Tyrolean Tub Twist! Along with that we ride the Spook Express family roller coaster, Neptune's Kingdom and everything else that Joyland has to offer!

I'm old enough to remember the Virginia reel at Blackpool ,it was still working in the 70's, never went on it though it looked really rattley.😊
Please confirm that the snails used to be under the big blue (don’t know the name) roller coaster on the other park, as a kid (80s) I have very fond memories of it as a kid but I KNOW it wasn’t there I’m sure!?!?…

Neptune's Kingdom has been getting some good upgrades over the past few years as well.
It’s such a brilliant park!
The snails are classed as listed. They will never be removed. Great memories for me - used to come here every summer with my nan and grandad - Noahs Ark was here then. When you came out you got a little present out of a barrel.
I used to go here so much in the 1980s - loved the Snails and Tubs! The main attraction atop the central "mountain" was a walkthrough called Space Base. You pressed buttons and pulled levers to activate robots doing housework, that sort of thing. For the finale you entered the actual spaceship, which rocked back and forth. From Space Base, you could look down through a circular window and actually see into Neptune's Kingdom. Neptune's Kingdom itself was very different. I seem to remember a big seahorse (like the carriages) that was on rails and kept bursting out from behind a door.

It's great to see people enjoying the Norfolk amusements, having been born in Norwich it's easy to take these parks for granted having visited them regularly since a child. Yes Shawn I'm old enough to remember the Noahs Ark lol (only just)!

Hi shawn and Charlotte aww I love Joyland 💕 it holds so many happy memories of my childhood. I'm 53 now and I've been coming back to great Yarmouth since I was a child. I will never forget that feeling of being a little child in the Tub twist . It used to feel so big when you were small. I can't wait to take my grandchildren there when I get some .fantastic vlog loved this. i can't believe your off to Florida i wish I was going with you . I came back from my 1st ever visit in May this year . I absolutely loved it there . Thankyou for sharing all these wonderful times with us . Love to you both as always Tracey 💕 xxxx

I love great Yarmouth. We are coming there a week on Friday. (8 th of September to the 22 Nd of September.staying at seashore holiday park. Brilliant caravan park. 5 minutes away and your on the beach . Really looking forward to our holiday

First did this Joyland back in the 1970's and early 80's. Remember being surprised how good the Tumbling Tubs were.

About the Great British Theme Park Museum, there was mentions from a comment from a fan about being a walkthrough, is that what your planning on attraction type? Or will it involve rides aswell? Like coasters? and more? Just wondering if does, are there any plans to feature classic rides like the Tyrolean Tub Twists type? Aswell different types aswell modern day rides, coasters a.k.a maybe your own theme park resort? Are there any plans for this at all? Or will it be a museum walkthrough mainly? Featuring all collection you have collected throughout the years? Be good to see and visit in future once a reality. Was a nice vlog by the way as always, never myself visited this park Joy land and resort Great Yarmouth, but its on the list, bit far to travel and money is an issue. So hopefully one day will get opportunity to visit? But well see? But nice vlog, really enjoyed and look forward again for next. 😀👍

Hi, still wondering do you both have a coaster count and if so what are they. It seems ages since you mentioned them.

I reached 1400 coasters this year and Charlotte doesn’t sound as much now!

I remember when spook express was an alien spaceship and they even had a Dalek!! East Anglian born and bred and the snails are in my blood. ❤
Been down Yarmouth over the Bank Holiday weekend, Joyland has always had great memories for me as a kid.

First time I rode on the Snails it was 8 pence ...
We live in Norwich. The snails and cars are a massive part of my childhood. Seeing the paint work and changes of the colours over the years too. My 3 young girls love going on them and I love seeing their happy faces. Wouldn’t be a trip without going to Joyland, icecream, doughnuts and another of my girls favourites the 2p machines. We go 3-4 times a year making lots of lovely memories

Unfortunately we live a 7 hour drive away so it's hard to visit Gt Yarmouth but we managed it 2 years ago. Best holiday ever. These vlogs are the next best thing

The Neptunes Kingdom was refurbished by Studios East which did ShrieksVille at Pleasure Island. This is the same company which formed from Rex Studios which did things like Little Monsters at Flamingo Land and Tinkaboo's Sweet Adventure at Pleasure Island. The ShrieksVille ride system (different layout now) along with some of the props are now at Ocean Beach Pleasure Park.

Joyland is a kids theme park in Great Yarmouth inside the United kingdom the GREAT BRITAIN AND I THINK THAT IT IS COOL!
Honestly I’m 39 and have been riding rides at joyland since I was probably a year or less old. Love the place! ❤ Though the snails and the PB snails are the favourites I do every visit without fail.

Great memories of this fun little park and as a child the snails were my absolute favourite ride. They are the classic of the theme park world and whether you can class them as a coaster credit well that’s a tricky one? I can fondly remember the Noah’s Ark too and if I recall it was like the one at Blackpool PB. I can remember there were caged animals or birds inside before making your way down the crazy angled floor and ceilings of the ark, steep stairways, etc. It’s a fabulous decorative facade they have created there now and really looks the part with the Spook Coaster ride. The Tub ride is the last of it’s kind in the world, a Virginia reel, I’ve sent you a photo of the one that used to be at Blackpool PB. Neptune’s Kingdom used to be located at nearby Gorleston On Sea before they moved it to Joyland in the 70s, and I remember it there fondly. Great vlog guys.
