I appreciate these quick hit videos but One of the most important parts of a bag review are the shot of the bag being worn. Why don’t you include them?

As much as I like Wandrd as a company, I can't stand the black interiors on all their bags. Any pack with a plain Jane black interior lining is a black hole or abyss where things get tough to find, especially in low light situations. Sure I could shine a flash light but would it hurt to put some gray rip stop inside? My Tumi London Rolltop has a shiny bright gray liner. My gym bag, A7 U Bag, also has an excellent high vis inner lining. Mission Workshop Integer has a beautiful inside. I'm guessing it's cheaper to do black linings so it cuts costs. For a bag this big, it would be a struggle looking things.

I knew it was going to be a long one when the first two minutes were of two hands waving above a pack which did not move... I barely succeeded in watching 3 or 4 minutes skipping through parts...

Nice review! Which one would you prefer for traveling, the Peak Design 45 L Travel Backpack or the Wandrd Fernweh? Carry on size is not important to me.

Hej I got the 45l Peak Design! I will buy the Fernweh in addition. You can‘t hike with the 45l because its quite uncomfortable when its heavy loaded and you have to carry it for several hours... Buts its really nice for weekend citytrips cause its carry-on and the design is even more clean than the Fernweh. I think if I had to decide I would go for the Fernweh! Just cause looks more comfty and can do the Job of the Peak Design... But the Peak cant really do the Job of the Fernweh. Overall both are good backpack in my eyes really depends on your needs!

damn - they charge $350 for backpack only and an additional $100 for the camera compartment insert....
for $350 it should include the camera compartment....

What do you think about bringing a tent? Since its advertised for backpacking I would love to know how it is for bringing a tent, the cook set, sleeping bag

Of course that depends on the size of the tent. I guess you would have to sacrifice some clothes or other gear for it all to fit. Would love to bring all of that stuff + camera gear as well. Would love to know if someone has it

I have one and while the construction is good, the bottom tightening pull straps for the shoulder strap doesn't work. It slips with no weight. I have tried to send for a warranty and the company makes it so difficult to do that I'm just going to get rid of it. I don't recommend this backpack, especially for the money. Oh, and you can't contact the company or leave a review that is not 5 star on their website. Walk away.

Is there a way to stow the shoulder straps at all? That would make it more likely to pass as carry on...

Hey William, there's not an integrated system for hiding away the shoulder straps, but it could be possible to tuck them into the pass through sleeves to keep them tidier. Plus, just as a note, the hip belt is removable. Hope this helps!

If it had 2 of thouse big packs on the belt, it`d be perfect. I`ll mostl use it in the city, but I like to entertain hope that it`ll do for some hiking every now and then too.

So it's a 50 liter camera bag with a "bucket", which is a zippered-in packing cube?? And if black interior / black exterior is the only choice not only does it cheapen the look but makes it impossible to find things with all of these compartments and zippers. I own nothing from this brand and now I cannot imagine I will in the future.

yeah, it doesn't seem very flexible. Lots of zippers and dangly bits.

You should really watch some of the different reviews by real (eg photographer) pros 😂 there u can see what this backpack really can do and is. It's by far one of the best backpacks, in particular for photographers, on the market. U should know your needs, don't judge about specific products for specific needs u don't have.
