    It's funny that your recommended use fits exactly what I am looking for in a bag. I'm planning to backpack around SE Asia and into the EU next year and this seems like it would fit my needs perfectly. I don't need a bag that's mainly for camera and some space for personal items I need something that's going to keep my personal items safe and allow me to carry my equipment with ease. I'm not really planning to have to need to whip my camera out at a moments notice but carry it around securely and secretly if possible till I find soemthing worth taking photos or doing a piece to camera. But there are ways to carry the camera in a way to have it a moments notice without having to dive into the bag for it. Like a quick release plate holder on the strap or even a over the shoulder strap.

    Hey ! Once again great review . You are so to the point , I just love that . Most of the vloggers talk so much unnecessary and ever time they show what's they keep it in their backpack 😀. Anyways I have reviewed this bag couple of months back and now in this video as well . I think it's over featured backpack . Lost complete simplicity and very complicated design . I have reviewed over 700 plus bacpacks , so may be my choice going towards minimalistic n simplistic . I would love to see reviews from you on Goruck . Esp gr1 , gr2 , bullet ruck . Also 5:11 rush 12,24&72. Vanquest is also making good packs in my opinion . Check with Helikon tex backpacks , they make low price packs with good quality . Two more to add Karkoa smart 40 backpack & Gobi backpacks. Sorry for long comment . Good luck .

    The “MY GOD BETSY, IT’S A GOAT” line had me rolling; had to pause the video to refocus.
    Great review, really appreciated the walk through all areas and features; probably the most useful I’ve seen since it seems like most people focus on only one specific use type (photography, camping, hiking). Really wanted to see the b*tch of the strap removal though!
    Still trying to talk myself into getting it as my one-bagging bag - just worried about Euro airlines as another commenter mentioned. Have heard in other reviews it cinches down really well if you don’t have it over/fully packed up, so fingers crossed.

    • @Nomads.Nation
      @Nomads.Nation  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the comment Andi! It’s a HUGE one-bag backpack, but if you are doing a lot of hiking and goat-photography then it could be a great option 😉

    • @wat917
      @wat917 ปีที่แล้ว

      The size is a (literal) big thing, especially as a short woman - but my argument is that I can fit a small day bag and I’m big on little souvenirs. Like a baby goat.

    READ BEFORE BUYING
    i got this bag expecting it to be a camera bag, but it is more so a gear bag that you can put your camera in. the cubes once inside are extremely difficult to open and also hardly line up with the straps inside meant to secure them, the velcro appeared to be vertical when the holds are horizontal...
    additionally, getting in and out of the bag quickly is not happening. if you are someone who needs a very durable bag, that fits other stuff and camera stuff about half/half, not focusing on camera, it is great. plus it is waterproof and seems to be extremely durable, which was what i was looking for.
    i also feel that this video lead me to feel that this bag was wayyyy more camera focused than it was, do not buy this bag if your main goal is easy and simple camera/camera gear access. you will be sorely disappointed and out close to $400

      For sure, I'll do, I'll use it in July for my diving trip to the red sea and maybe again in Sept in iceland 🤙. But what I can say right now tho is, that the quality of this backpack is absolutely awesome. I'm using a hard shell case for my dji mavic air 2 (28x23x18) and a larger hard shell case by pelican for my diving camera equipment (35x25x20), so no camera cubes by wandrd but what can I say, they fit, both, just awesome!!! I mean, not both together, of course, but individual and I can still use the zipper bag at the top 👌.
      Let's see how it's working during my trips.
      Cheers

    Great review and a great pack, but I have been searching now for YEARS for a pack truly made for wildlife photography and that is a creature more rare than any wildlife :) Every pack I see with a camera cube will in reality fit only tiny dainty lenses that can function well for travel or landscape photography, but try to put a lens like a 400/2.8 or 600/4 in there and it is flatly impossible. I keep hoping a high end company like Wandrd will make such a product, but to date only Mindshift has truly figured it out. I say that after buying all the big packs from Shimoda, Atlas, F-Stop, and at least a dozen others. Sigh....😂

    I have one and while the construction is good, the bottom tightening pull straps for the shoulder strap doesn't work. It slips with no weight. I have tried to send for a warranty and the company makes it so difficult to do that I'm just going to get rid of it. I don't recommend this backpack, especially for the money. Oh, and you can't contact the company or leave a review that is not 5 star on their website. Walk away.

    I am shocked .. honestly .. this all on the youtube is the next level of conspiration ... this bag is over-engineered, heavy and full of features which you didn't know that you need because you actually don't need them .. as a landscape photographer who loves to hike and do alpinism too this bag is almost unusable .. cool for city, maybe cool for wannabe-adventurers but not for a real life .. I had an opportunity to test this bag for a month for free and well, thanks ... never again .. unfortunately there is a big issue with good photography backpacks for an adventure so in reality the most of photographers who do an advanced stuff still have to stick with backpack inserts and good hiking/trekking backpacks ... what doesn't work for me doesn't mean that won't work for everybody else but on the other hand, this backpack is a special kind and I believe that almost everybody who will be using that in real will find it over-engineered ...

    • @Nomads.Nation
      @Nomads.Nation  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for your perspective! There are definitely a ton of features on this bag, so many that it's probably over-engineered for the average person, but I'm sure plenty of people will be drawn to it as well

  • @Stormbrise

    I guess you need a huge duffel to check this bag… i think with the price they could have added some way to hide the straps for checked. I doubt you can get that on any European airline as a carryon. Some Ultra light backpacking gear can cost the same as this backpack, put into a duffel and you will no where come near the 50 lbs (22 kg) for the checked bag. As for camera, I would not ever take all that camera equipment on a multiple day backpacking trip. Living in Denmark where the heck will I go where everything is flat and outdoor camping is limited. Yeah Sweden or Norway, Germany does not allow trail camping (weird), except for certain sponsored events. Camping and backpacking is just different in the EU. US, i could see me section hiking with this pack for a few days without the camera cube, or a minimal one to just hold my body and decent lens. However, do I want the extra weight?

    • @Nomads.Nation
      @Nomads.Nation  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree, it would have been nice to be able to stow the straps away

    • @wat917
      @wat917 ปีที่แล้ว

      Someone on Reddit posted a review using this as a one bag through Europe; they noted that they’ve had success with it being a carry-on because they don’t overpack (or underpack) and use additional cinch straps. Weight would be an interesting point though because the bag itself clocks at 5lbs alone according to the website.

    • @Stormbrise
      @Stormbrise ปีที่แล้ว
