      How isn’t it a conflict of interest? If he’s mentoring or helping the halves of the storm be better in the game, doesn’t that help the rorters when planning the game knowing the strengths and weaknesses of the storm halves?

    Can I say as a St. George and Nsw Blues fan, Ive rarely ever cheered for Cooper Cronk, however I believe Cooper's integrity would be far above reproach. He clearly still has relationships with storm players, he's Melbourne's best half-back of all time so of course they'd want him to mentor the young halves. Bloody hell Buzz and Kenty are sooo dumbfounded by integrity, honesty and not exploiting opportunities because they can't imagine not being backstabbing snakes.

    • @deaddropholiday
      @deaddropholiday 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ridiculous. His argument is essentially "I'm a good guy. I know where the line is. Trust me. I'm Cooper Cronk". Tell me - what EXACTLY is he helping the key playmakers for your biggest rival to do if it isn't improve? They didn't ask him there to make those players WORSE than what they were before. So you are helping your biggest rival to get better. Whilst taking a pay cheque from the Roosters. He should have been canned on the spot. And so should Robinson if he signed off on this.

    • @shannonblack3513
      @shannonblack3513 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@deaddropholiday Ridiculous. How many different clubs have employed Daryl Halligan as their kicking coach? He has worked with multiple teams every year and there has never, EVER been even a whisper of impropriety. Andrew Johns is exactly the same with halfbacks. There is nothing unprecedented happening here, just FAUX outrage from people too easily led by the nose by headline grabbing media personalities.

    • @deaddropholiday
      @deaddropholiday 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@shannonblack3513 BUllshit comparison. Daryl Halligan was NOT in the same role as Cronk. Nothing wrong with an independent contractor working between clubs. But Cronk isn't an independent contractor. He's on the coaching books of the Roosters whilst he's helping two of the best players at their biggest rivals to get better. Who's to say the techniques Cronk imparts to Munster and company don't result in the Storm beating the Roosters. Kenty is absolutely right that someone like Ricky would not tolerate this situation. One final thing - just because you haven't heard any whispers about the likes of Halligan moonlighting between clubs doesn't mean they haven't taken place. It'll all come out in the wash. Probably result in the Storm being stripped of another couple of titles. The sooner they are reduced to ZERO the better for everyone.

Take a look at the nba, all players and former players regardless of team they are/were at train together to be the best they possibly can be and raise the entire standard of the league. And look at the amount of widespread talent they have! The standard across the board of the nba is ridiculously high, why wouldn’t NRL fans and execs want this too? How is Buzz still working?

  • @fisheater844
    @fisheater844 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Cooper is 100% correct, he’s straight talking about his job with both clubs.
    Writing stories after talking to people who don’t know the full details just to sell papers, nothing new.

    its funny how the 2 reporters are the ones questioning integrity, and the 2 footballers are stay loyal to there integrity. Buzz and Kent find it hard to believe someone has integrity because in their own world (media), the trashier you are, the further you go..

    Was never a fan of cooper, but he was a Queenslander, but also storm rooster, but he is 100% upfront. He walks away from this interview as a tough nut.

    I understand the fact that he's well within his rights to do both and that everything is transparent between himself and the two clubs. I just don't see how a club in a competitive environment gains any advantage by allowing one of it's employees to operate in an advisory/mentoring capacity at another club. Another club who also happens to be one of their biggest rivals in recent years. Also, if there is no advantage in it for them as I'm sure they already know...then why allow it? It just doesn't make an ounce of sense from the Roosters standpoint, especially if they value the mans input. Why lend a helping hand to a rival??

    So Cronk can play for Storm, Qld, and Australia for 9 seasons straight, win 4 finals, 9 state series and every series played for Australia, leave the storm, play 2 seasons for the Roosters and win 2 grand finals with them, and Buzz questions if he can consult to one club while helping with player development at another?
    Cronk was the most disciplined to play the game, Buzz is just another reporter looking for clicks. Cronk put him in his place.

  • @paul512bmi
    @paul512bmi 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just curious, if Cronk works with munster and halves of storm leading up to a roosters game, what does he say ? Does he coach them and advise them deliberately the wrong way to ensure the roosters win ? He did say roosters are his #1 choice ?
    In which case, why would storm work with Cooper leading up to roosters games, knowing roosters are his #1 choice ??
