You should put a drip loop on that antenna cable, otherwise water will follow the wire down into your control unit.

I definitely get it nowadays. People charging up their battery storage, electric vehicles, who knows what else. It's not like the old days when people just had some lights, a small AC and a fridge.

@RvParkBuilder what I have found in my experience: people look at the electricity rate, but don't account for fuel surcharge or other fees, which is why I was asking. I'll look and see what the rates are in my area and see how they compare.

@@charlieodom9107 Ours is $0.124/kWh including taxes and all fees. However, there is a monthly base fee of $63 per meter, which we think it a bit excessive. However, the base fee can be reduced substantially by reducing the number of meters/bills through CT and combining those bills.

Thank you for sharing your experiences with starting up your RV park. I know some of the pedestals are rated at 100 A and 20+30+50 A receptacles sum to 100 A, but seems like only permitting either the 30 A or 50 A receptacle to be used would lower the required power to 70 A max assuming the 20 A and 50 A receptacles in use. What is your experience with allocating 100 A to a single RV?

Should you silicon the four mounting holes in these panels to keep the water out, espcially since you now have electronics in the box

Great minds think alike! We did do that at the same time we siliconed the antennas in!

Marinas are doing this now too. One boat I work on uses about 100kwh per day in the summer while docked, so that can add up to a LOT of power by the end of the month.

For sure! At $0.12 kWh we have here, that would be $12/day x 30 days is $360 in electric costs for that monthly slip!

@RvParkBuilder You are getting power for only 0.12/kwh? Jeez!!!!

@@charlieodom9107 You inspired us to double check our rate. It's actually 11.5 cents + 7% tax brings it to 12.3 cents! We are part of the TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority). Thought maybe due to Hydroelectric generation on the Tennessee River. But under further review, they are 12% hydro and serve 10 million customers in 8 SE states!
