2017 here. My Galaxy S10 and iPhone 10 would not charge. I carefully opened up the charging module, removed the watch battery sized magnet and now they both wirelessly charge.
How did you open the charging module? Mine won't charge my iPhone11, but will my step-son's iPhone 12 (although he has a MagSafe case which may be the difference?)
This isn't accurate. I have a brand new Yukon SLT and the charging mat will not work with the new IPhone X. Only 2018 models. You will need a morphie cover to get this feature to work. Sales persons need to do there homework.
I have done my homework, and you are right. That is why I was commenting @DonnyW about GM having a challenge. Please be advised I work very hard on keeping up with all the changes, I appreciate positive comments.

You may have to enable wireless charging on your iPhone check your settings and if it does not work you might have to buy a case for that iPhone to have wireless charging available
You cant wirelessly charge an iPhone 7. Needs to be a glass back phone like the new iPhone 8 or X. Qi charging isn't available until the 2018 chevy vehicles. 2016 and 2017 vehicles have a wireless charger for certain phones, but wont work with apple since not Qi certified. I just replaced mine in my 2017 suburban with the part from a 2018. Direct swap for 152.00 plus tax. Plug will work with a slight 30 second modification.
