We need to learn to regulate emotions and practice selective empathy. Not everyone is deserving of our kindness and giving nature. It’s called using discernment & intuition 💗.
In my experience, the lesser I've cared the more I'm respected. It's definitely interesting but that's what I've personally come to experience and know others relate too.
One thing I have learned & now practice is - only giving my energy to people that truly deserve it !

A lonely place to be struggling. Truth be told, my biggest struggle, is the struggle. Real hard to change and let go. But I know it’s for my own good. Learning to thrive. Today, I’m weary.

Caring and showing empathy for the narc opens up a continuous plethora of supply and ego boosting for them. We do not owe them anything, but we do owe ourselves time to heal and to take our control back.

So true. And your teaching has been ESSENTIAL for me to reach the stage of not caring. Before narc knowledge, I was stuck in the narrative of a forever love and her pledges that she will be mine forever. Over time I discovered--as we survivors and thrivers know--that this was a combination of love-bombing and future-faking. My not-caring superpower grows day by day because I no longer give any emotional energy to something and someone that was a falsehood.

I knew this was gonna be a powerful message, as I'm finding and imagine all your videos are! I had to learn this superpower the hard way as most of us have... I babysat a toddler and a baby for a couple. The father literally told me I was like a third parent and the mother actually told me I was here lifeline 😳🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩 you feel me. I continued babysitting + being their unpaid housemaid even washing their laundry being manipulated by the mother whom I realized is a covert narcissist always crying and playing the victim. I fell very ill with a cold and the mother still insisted on me babysitting for her so that she could go out and have drinks with her girlfriends. That's when I finally saw the truth and said NO! The next morning I said no more and no longer to all of it. Which is when the narcissistic abuse heightened and the gaslighting, triangulation & scapegoating took place. Through it all I came to find out she was trying to come between my marriage along with her mother claiming some type of Soul tie over my husband. Wow right. I'm free! I learned to develop strong boundaries and to direct my enormous empathy towards myself and to those of whom deserve it. My husband and I are now free from their manipulative abuse. God use them to teach me lessons as he used me to teach them lessons. Whether or not they learn their lessons, I have no clue but I for sure learn mine!! Our Creators design is magnificent! Thank you Lord Jesus! ❤😇🕊
Married to a Dismissive Avoidant almost 40 years. They act like Narcs to me--maybe Covert Narcs. An Avoidant may not set OUT to hurt people INTENTIONALLY like the malignant Narc/Overt does outright---but the PAINFUL outcome is the SAME. Some of what you said applies to my 61 year old LIFE. This resonates. ❤ The narcissists would also bait me into showing that I care ('If you love me you would..... ' or 'You don't love me because you won't [do whatever weird, inconvenient, awful, self-harming thing the narc wants you to do]!') as a temperature check, to make sure the trauma bond was still intact. What I found out when I stand my ground, so no, ignore him literally he breaks down and starts crying when I put my demands down he seems to abide by them for maybe about a month or so and then I have to shut down again in order to get him back on track but I have no fear of him I stand up to him if he says something crazy to me I either ignore him or I shoot back at him what's something crazy he knows that I'm not afraid of him and for the most part he's a coward and yes I have called the police on him which shocked the mess out of him so he knows I'm not something to play with yet most of all I moved from one state to another to be with him and yes we did get married I didn't realize he was a narcissist until 6 months after we were married we've only been married a year this past March he knows that I'm not like his last wife he can't walk all over me or act crazy with me or run me when I say no I mean no and I told him that in a text message a couple of days ago you said the tone when you come into the house it's up to you I can either shut down and continue the way I've been for the last 2 weeks or I can go back to doing the things that I've done for you but I told him you have to be nice kind polite and respectful and that is what I've gotten he becomes a little kid buying giving and doing yeah I just want a normal marriage and relationship

Thank you for your insight what do you do when you have kids as a man devoted father who is cheated on breadcrumb lied to narcissistic to the hilt a woman who uses her kids a grown woman at 51 years old doing this the court won't give me custody because I'm a truck driver a woman who's promiscuous and sleep's around so sometimes it's not so easy to stop caring for your kids anyway

The ultimate superpower is forgiveness we really need to stop giving these people so much power the constant rants and the new n word we all have these traits we all fall short we all have hurt others intentionally and unintentionally be grateful that we didn’t go down that path of whatever lead these people to turn that way it says to pray for your enemies as you would pray for yourself you don’t have to accept there treatment but you don’t fight them by constantly giving them power or talking about them how they messed up your life. We all fall short and God doesn’t tolerate any sin not one drop so it’s best to forgive them and move on as Jesus did for us married to one 19 years 4 year engagement to one the more I realized my role I played in those situations the more I was able to forgive .the super power is forgiveness not going against this lovely lady but when you compare yourself to Jesus and how imperfect we all are and how sin in this world has messed up so many people and there families you realize that could have been easily n been you and being a people pleaser is not good it will lead you into these people arms. We all have played a role in our own life and if you can survive that and get a great platform from a trendy subject then looks like you win anyway
We know about forgiveness this isn’t that topic. No where in the Bible does it tell us to forgive demons. Hope you know that.
