In today's video we take on an all new challenge...learning a game engine...IN 1 HOUR! This was a really cool accomplishment for me, as it proves that your skills and knowledge can transfer over to pick up other engines quicker and easier. The game at its core is incredibly simple, but this was still an awesome learning experience and I will definitely be revisiting construct in the future for small game jams challenge videos, etc. I hope you all enjoyed this wildly different style of game development video that you are used to on this channel, but if we can get 1,000 likes I'll definitely make another wacky challenge like this again soon!

Hey dude. Youre the first person ive backed on kickstarter. When I saw the game footage, and also from Toronto I had to. I really appreciate indie developers as they have produced some of my favorite games. Hollow Knight, Stardew Valley, Shovel Knight are shining examples of what can be accomplished with limited resources. Looking forward to playing Monster Tribe!

You could have used Gdevelop. It has no features limit or something like that.

A simple game engine I would suggest is Gdevelop 5 it’s completely free and has a simple event system which you can also program with JavaScript. It’s kind of like construct but it still has differences.
Cool! I'll look into it.. maybe I could do a part 2 at a higher production level with GDevelop in the future? 🧐
If you try this again, Gdevelop is very similar to Construct, but entirely free.
