What is the difference between Line 6 Catalyst CX and basic Catalyst? If I update the normal Catalyst to the newer version of the software, will I get the new amp voicings and everything that comes with the Catalyst CX?
My understanding being a former owner is that the new one now has an added amp for each voicing so now it can do 12 amps instead of 6. Also it seems at least one other feature change is that there is more effects available and it no longer locks you into just 1 effect and 1 reverb. Now you can have 2 effects instead of reverb and 1 effect or 2 reverbs and no effects. According to him the originals can be updated to do the same things as the cx models. It appears the cx models though notably on the 60 watt model that there is more features on the back than the original.
