New subscriber here. Subscribed for real estate, but this hit home. Probably went through the same thing you did by people close to me. Even family members; got called names or just put me down even by my own parents: "smartass" when I talked about my goals and what I learned, " you won't make it", "you are doing it wrong", "younger brother is smarter than you" etc. and made me question a lot of things. Just do you and cut them out. Best thing I did even if they were family. Now? I'm retired at 29 w/ passive income. I don't make a whole lot, but definitely make enough to live comfortably.
Started hitting strides when i decided to cut people out, be very picky who is in my inner circle, and focus on my goals.
Cheer up. Like you mentioned; accomplishing your goals and succeeding is the biggest slap on their face you can give them.
