I pay $1,170 for this one bedroom apartment.
I moved to find cheaper living, get away from California, the traffic and to experience something different. I believe you should move away from your hometown if you can. This is a small part of my journey of moving around and traveling. I plan to make this channel of travel and Vegas live streams.

Come up and visit a few times and check out the areas and places to live. Avoid north Las Vegas (where I live) (by the Air Force base) lol. I moved out here very quick and have discovered that there’s wayyy better places to live. The prices are climbing up but still very affordable compared to California for sure.

I moved to Vegas Aug 2020. My rent I believe started about 930 or so including water sewage and trash for 1bd/1bath. It creeped up each year a little bit then it jumped up an additional 100 to 1140 including water sewage and trash last year. Not sure if they were gonna raise again when my lease was expiring in May so started looking and found a 2bd/2bath for about 100 more. So rent is now 1240....water sewage trash is about 60+ dollars. Plus its 1010 square feet so its also much bigger. Every time I consider moving back to L.A. I look at the rents and say guess Ill be in Vegas for a while. Im on Flamingo about 1.7 miles from the Strip. Added bonus...Im in walking distance from most every place I shop.
Yeah California one bedrooms are like $2400 on the very low end for some crap. California is not the state to live in. Unless you really got it like that and don’t care about how much you spend. That’s just the reality of things rn. Every where is going up cause they know ppl can’t get housing. This is my second year here…my rent slightly went up but about 80 bucks.

@@JustSavwill haha. It’s complicated but to sum it up … Philadelphia is my hometown and I wanted to leave. Move to Vegas with a “friend.” The person ended up not being a friend. Moved to Idaho, and realized that I did not like the vibe. So I left and decided to do car life in California. But I have thoughts on going back to Vegas.
@@Joshdifferent you took an L for that Idaho move 🙃. Car life? Well heyy I’ve seen some RV’s and it’s literally no different than a studio. Just on wheels. But be safe doin that.

@@LESREID2 Ohkay. I literally live on the last decent part on Craig. Near the base. Like noooo lie. My apartment is nice I pay 1170. But the Jet noise is and the street racing over here is ghettooo lol.. I rushed moving out here and didn’t know but now I know where to live. Soo I’ll probably move to Henderson or summerlin poss later this yr.

Any tips on finding a good apartment there every apartment I see has bad reviews about bugs etc
Shoot lol. It’s kinda hard when you get into reviews. Honestly the more money you got. The better the comments 😂. What area are you planning to move to? And what’s your budget?
I was looking at the paradise area and North Vegas has the better prices but some comments says those areas aren’t safe etc or even somewhere on the west side Enterprise and spring valley between about 1100- up to 1400 but I’ve read some bad reviews for higher end ones as well lol
@@mdbproductions2800 do not move to NE Vegas. Nice places in not so nice areas. Henderson, Summerlin, Centennial, SE-nice.

Honestly I think there are better apartments than mine and locations for sure. Hop on Zillow and look on there as well. But if you still want to check out these. They are called Sonata apartments.
In the last 3 years, the same 2-bedroom/2-bath apartment I have been living in for over a decade went up $ 400.00 but it is still $ 200.00 less than if I moved in as a new tenant today.
I couldn't help but laugh when I saw the other day on the internet: " I didn't get a loan for a house with a monthly mortgage of $ 750.00 and that's why I am now paying $ 1,500.00 per month in rent"
So nice to see a nice regular apartment here and not a luxury one us normal folks can’t afford😂 I’m moving into a 2bd 2bath in a couple weeks and girl, the prices aren’t what they used to be 10 years ago.

I pay about 2 grand a month for a crappier apt in L.A county and they dont even give you a washer or dryer over here.
Yeah I know. It’s really a shame. The cost of living is going up everywhere. I’m on yr 2 here, and my rent went up less than a 100 bucks. I know that probably wouldn’t happen in California.

@@passionlee-cl2uy Vegas has its pros and cons. Just live in the decent areas lol. You’ll be ok. I find myself missing California sometimes but the state is cooked. 🤷🏽♀️ no state taxes over here either…so it is what it is…

Yeah so I came out to interview in person. The apartments I’m at just wanted a written job offer from the employer in order to move in. & I saved up for the deposit and first months rent as well.

Soo at this complex, there’s a gym, pool and some amazon locker things lol. They have an area in the office where you can watch tv or cook food etc. This place has been ok but there’s better apartments in other cities out here for sure. I been wanting to move.

Rents are climbing out here. My rent did not change too much though. 100 dollar increase. But you can still find a few apartments in that range. The majority of the apartments are more like 1300-1500 now.

@@BakerneshaTV shoot, I had about 7k, had to pay 2800 to move in. I applied for jobs before I moved/& interviewed. The apartments was okay with an offer of employment to move in.

@@BakerneshaTV my old address. I applied for jobs about 2 months in advance to get an interview in, sale myself and pretty much let them know I was moving right after I graduated college. Letting them know when I could start etc. Everything was pretty smooth

Summer 2034? Lol. Vegas is ok. Has its pros and cons. Always something goin on so that’s the number one thing I like out here. The entertainment. I’d stay away from the strip but if that’s your thing, go for it.
My bad. 2024 hahaha. I’ve been living in Downtown Los Angeles for 12 years and am curious to see how the strip compares. I do plan after a year moving outside, possibly Summerlin or other burbs

What do you think about Share Downtown in Fremont? I just applied there but I’m just not sure about the area.
I personally think it’s kinda of wild down that way. Tourist, homeless, different crowds of ppl young/old etc etc. It’s party town, clubs, food, bars stuff like that. I recommend visiting and seeing it for yourself. Did you apply for a job down there?
Yes, I will be working in the area and need to find a place soon. (From states away) But I’m most worried about security and pest. I also applied to Villas at Green Valley. Both places are the same amount but I just want to make sure I make the right decision.

Yes, ShareDowntowm is the apartment complex with only studios I believe. I’m moving to Nevada June 1

@@chamocoutora8055 yea of course, I just renewed my lease, it did not go up either which I’m shook about lol. I’m so used to how California is. But to be honest there are a lot of better apartments than mine, keep your options open. I rushed moving out here and this is definitely a temporary home. I rate this place a 6/7 out of 10. Management isn’t the best with communication here. Something that I and others notice. I believe the management has changed a few times and that’s why. But I’ll let you be the judge.
