    $20 bipod: amzn.to/3gjolwi
    Harris bipods: www.harrisbipods.com
    Longshot rails and mini brakes. genuinelongshot.com use "DEUCEANDGUNS" at checkout for 20% off anything on their site. FYI - I get no money from this endorsement. It's just really good stuff.

    I finally figured out what that reminds me of. It's kinda like that dinosaur from 'Jurassic Park' that kicked the fins out around it's head and spit stuff at people.

    I was thinking a cheaper bipod was OK, but you confirmed it :-)
    I always buy ones around $30.00 from Amazon and have never been disappointed !

    the trouble with many bipod reviews on youtube is that people assume that bipods are all purpose, don't get a bipod suitable for the type of shooting their doing, then gripe about it either being too rigid or too flexible
    If you're shooting bench rest, off a tailgate, at a range, etc.; get a rigid bipod
    if you're hunting, shooting moving targets, shooting on uneven surfaces, etc.; get a floating bipod (lightweight, tilt, flex, "loadable", etc.)
    The point of a bipod is to give you a stable shooting platform, not make you look cool because it costs as much as the rifle it's attached to...

    My supposedly genuine Harris bipod, purchased from a reputable dealer, snapped in two at the point it was spot welded after a year's use with a .308. I guess the Chinese clones can't be much poorer quality than that.

  • @woodsghost9088
    @woodsghost9088 ปีที่แล้ว

    I wonder if the durability of the Harris is better? From the perspective of "i will hand this to a 19 year old with more muscles than brains who will be using the product while in a highly adrenalinalized state." I wonder if the metallurgy is different between the Harris and the Chinese knockoffs.

    I find a big difference in how well the legs work. After many attempts with low end bi pods, I’ll gladly pay twice as much for the Harris ones.

    • @deuceandguns
      @deuceandguns  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      When TH-cam flags a gun video they don't tell you why until you speak to them a few times. Turns out just mentioning that I may have a discount code for a firearms product and saying the full web address for Harris bipods were issues. So always look in the comment section for a pinned comment with any discount codes or websites.

    A cheap bipod on a cheap rifle.

  • @Bill23799
    @Bill23799 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey again BC. Well now that I have watched the video......I have been thinking about getting one of those
    OBC ( Off Brand Crap ) Bi-Pods for my AR-15 Carbine I built last year from the left over parts of
    my AR-15A1 project after I upgraded to more accurate A1 parts.
    I have seen on Amazon a CV-Live brand Bipod for about $21.00. They have the Carbon Fiber version for $27.99.
    I will not be running ( haha as if I could ) and gunning with my Bi-pod equipped AR. I would just like to have the stability
    at the range. I have a 12" Free float M-LOK handguard I plan on affixing it to with the M-LOK adapter the bipod comes with.
    Do you think the Carbon Fiber version will really be as strong as the metal one?
    Oh, by the way......your rifle with all those Bi-Pods installed ( Call it the Death Blossom )
    looks like a weapon Lister and Rimmer would have used on " Red Dwarf ".
    You could do a promotional video where you fall and roll down a hill and no matter
    what side up you land on your Death Blossom equipped Rifle is up and ready to
    spit out hot lead.

    • @deuceandguns
      @deuceandguns  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      After a year of use I do see the carbon fiber starting to chip where it hits the mount so it may eventually break.

    • @Bill23799
      @Bill23799 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@deuceandguns Is it much lighter in weight compared to the aluminum one?
      I will only be attaching it to my carbine when I go to the range. I like to keep my AR-Carbine Low Drag when I keep it ready in house for home defense.

  • @RayBlackburn
    @RayBlackburn 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Ask yourself this question
    How did Danial Boone, Jack O'Connor and Jerry Miculek ever hit a single thing without a bipod on their rifles?
    Not sure as I never use one either as they just add weight and I can hit stuff just fine without one
    I had one on the rifles for a while and realized it is so worthless it is pitiful not because it is a cheap one but because of the extra weight and getting in the way of everything

    pointless video .. the sling swivel pins are under size and just pressed in .. tightening bends them and pulls them out , fix is to remove and drill out hole and use the right size steel pin . a cut shaft from a old dremel bit is the right size then some epoxy seems to hold it ..
