And as for the idea of doing a tea tasting video, I think that’s a great idea! You should choose 5 well known British teas and choose what you think is the tastiest! His video is of course spot on with a shortfall. Our sense of humour is unique, closely followed by our sarcasm & understatement of difficult situations. Hope this assists.
Grimsby, by the way, got it's name from the Vikings, and so did the name of all the other British villages ending with ”by”. ”By” is a Scandinavian word, the meaning is slightly different today in the different Scandinavian languages, but at least in Swedish it means village.
Loose tea for when you take tea. Cup and saucer biscuits or cakes and plenty of time. Teabags, throw one into a mug drink it quickly because you're pretty busy.
I was a Tetley man for decades but I've changed. My hair no longer has colour (note the u) and I've not set foot in a night-club for at least 25 years. Yorkshire is now my tea of choice. God knows what I'll be drinking 100 years from now.
On the topic of which type of tea is the best then I must say it has to be Twinings Earl Grey. Definitely loose tea and none of those nasty little teabags. Loved your video. Thank you
Loved this video - and your snorting just made it funnier. And to put the tin lid on it the image of the Union Flag that kept popping up was upside down - probably deliberately :-)
It would of course be correct if the flag pole was on the right (though the wind blowing it appears to indicate a left side pole). Did the video cover British pedantry?
Love your laughter especially that snorty thing you do. Yes. it's true, Britain is full of silly and funny things foreigners may struggle to understand and we're proud of it 😇
Tetley is from yorkshire, but the branded yorkshire tea does come up stronger in my experience. Definitely leaves not bags, much better flavour and also if in London visit the twining tea tasting shop opposite the Royal courts of justice for a great experience.

And yes, I drink Tetley teabags as well, along with the occasional cup of Asda Gold coffee..... Some of the nicest tea I think I've ever drunk, was in a tea-shop in Richmond, North Yorkshire. I asked afterwards what tea it was, and I was told it was a local blend called Mad Hatter.....
Amanda, You know very well tea in England has many guises, black, green, lemon, apple, cinnamon,Raspberry, and more flavours. Yorkshire, Tetley and PG tips are the fast teas, always in bags so they can be pushed in every pocket to work or every trip by transport. But Yorkshire is in my opinion the best of the rest as it has strength enough to be used more than once in a mug and reasonably priced.
This is our, British, sarcasm at its best. This is wonderful!. I am, too, a Tetley teabag person. Hoop-and-stick was a Victorian children's pastime. Get the hoop rolling and keep momentum up by whacking it with a stick. I consider Yorkshire Tea as rather strong. It would be classified as "Builders Tea" defined by the tea bordering red brown in colour and which the tea spoon stands up unsupported as it so strong.
If you get Morrisons own teabags Amanda you can have both a teabag and tealeaves in your cup at the same time as the bag always bursts lol! Speaking of Tetley's I think they were the first to have round teabags instead of square.

Yorkshire is not the best tea but they take up a huge amount of space in the supermarkets when we are looking for our favourite brands. I think Twinings was one of the earliest tea brands to bring tea to Britain also there were Lyons tea rooms (Indian tea i believe).
"It's now flooding". Summer will be on a weekend this year. Yipeee! 3 days of sun, and that "flooding" becomes a "hosepipe ban" and people are dropping like flies. But we make the most of it!!

Yorkshire tea is decent because it's a good blend, fairly strong, and as teabags go, on the large side, so you can't fail really. I like Tetley though, they're good, strong, but very ordinary tasting. Personally i use cheap Co - Op ones most of the time because i'm not too fussy ... it's still a fairly decent blend.

Thank you very much Sandra :)
Amanda, this video is a very good example of British humour. 😊
The man narrating is one hundred per cent right on everything he said Amanda Great video sooo funny 🤭
