    Thank you, Father!
About 10 years ago, I made the decision to eliminate all pants from my wardrobe. My husband initially thought it was a crazy move. I slowly began to grow a closet of lovely dresses & skirts; second hand stores have a great selection.
I began to wear dresses to work and before I knew it, female co-workers were pulling out their dresses too, which had been tucked away. Prior to this, we were all in scrubs out of convenience!
My relationship with my husband improved, too. We no longer seemed in competition. He now compliments me more often (not that I am looking for it). I’m always surprised when he does! I act & even sit differently. It has had a positive psychological and spiritual impact on me.
I thank God for my feminine nature!

Wow, great example of the difference that feminine dress makes!

I’ve been doing the same after a lifetime of shorts and pants! I too feel very different in a good way. I also notice men treat me with more deference. I think they are starving for women to dress like women.

    Thank you Father.
It is difficult as a Father to convey this message to our wives and daughters in today's world even at our local Chapels, though much better than the world at large, still a struggle. Instead a lifestyle, it's just for Sunday. It's going to take patience and sermons like this to help reinforce the proper order.

Bridal fashion is such that a woman would never dare wear the style to Mass that she wears on her wedding day.

    • @butterflybeatles
      @butterflybeatles 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

My point being that a woman feels she can wear décolleté on her wedding day and she probably would never wear décollete at Sunday Mass.

Even for weddings, i ve seen a lot of brides whose dresses look like plain lingerie or as if they were selling themselves. Really disturbing and disgusting. There is no reason to aproach to the altar with long cleavage for example. It doesnt look femenine, it looks vulgar

Modesty is in the eye of the beholder

    • @butterflybeatles

Modesty is an objective reality. Just ask the Muslims.

      Modesty comes from within.

Modesty is about comportment, both internal and the outward manifestation of internal comportment.

What is with this fashion of beards? When I grew up, in the fifties and sixties, nobody wore a beard.

Nah..they just had long hear and took LSD. Beards are masculine...are u a troll?

I think this is only a style of the culture rather than a moral question.
Most men of past centuries wore beards, as did Our Lord most likely. 🥰

I am referring to the first half of the sixties. Flower power, the Pill, the Beatles and mini-skirts kinda ruined things, don't you think?@@anned6203

When I see a man with a beard, my first thought is "lazy" and "filthy." I don't like facial hair at all. Only Our Lord could carry off the look properly.

I agree with your fundamental facts. However if you have to start up your lawn mower yourself and wash your muddy car and groom your dog (:( ) you dress pragmatically. It is human to look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.

If women dress in a masculine way, she is free to be herself. I see nothing wrong with casual styles. This is part of the reason why I don't watch TV anymore, or only in small doses.
I think that women are more likely to be jealous than men.

  • @butterflybeatles

Why can't we just admit that Muslims have it right?

At 'ite missa est', Catholic women are obliged to remove their veils after they leave the chapel to represent the glory of God's beauty with the same beauty they have been imbued with.

They don't 'get it right' - at home they dress like tarts in skinny jeans, plus they have stores with sultry outfits for their husband's 'delights' and you name it. What sort of example is that to their daughters, who do not have the grace and light of Baptism?
